Chapter 777 Sicily

Feng Feng naturally didn't believe it. Shen Su, such a cautious person, wouldn't suddenly appear knowing she was on a video call, carelessly saying something that could be overheard. The only explanation was that he still wanted to assert his presence.

Especially since Li Yue had met Zhou Xuan and Feng Zhang before. Shen Su was likely still unbalanced by this, so Feng Feng completely ignored him and sat down at the dining table, watching Shen Su cook. He took sweet and sour marinated pork from the refrigerator and heated it. The aroma quickly spread throughout the dining room, smelling delicious. Although Feng Feng wasn't very hungry, her mouth still watered.

During lunch, Feng Feng didn't bring up Zhou Xuan and Feng Zhang with Shen Su again. Shen Su observed Feng Feng's attitude and didn't dare to "act unreasonably" anymore. He knew very well that Feng Feng hadn't settled accounts with him over the matter between Li Yue and Zhang Shuang. At this juncture, if he angered her further, he would be the one to suffer the consequences.

Moreover, he was enjoying their current atmosphere and didn't want to spoil it by discussing these matters.

They spent a harmonious day together, and the next morning, Shen Su's driver came to pick them up to go to the airport.

Feng Feng had met Shen Su's driver before, but the driver hadn't known about their relationship. Previously, Shen Su drove himself when looking for Feng Feng, and the driver had only seen Feng Feng in professional settings. Now, seeing Feng Feng emerge from Shen Su's residence and about to travel together, even the experienced driver couldn't help but show surprise. Feng Feng noticed it but still greeted the driver calmly.

After getting into the car, Feng Feng and Shen Su sat together in the back. They didn't say much on the way, but the driver, looking at them through the rearview mirror, found their interaction to be quite intimate.

The first stop of their trip was Sicily, Palermo. Shen Su's plan was to travel from south to north and then take a train to Seville. Feng Feng wasn't very familiar with the route arrangements, but she had one advantage: she didn't offer unsolicited opinions, so all the itineraries followed Shen Su's plans.

In Sicily, Shen Su had booked a detached villa-style hotel. The villa was a classic Mediterranean architectural style, situated by the Aegean Sea. It had a large terrace of over thirty square meters, complete with a swing, a wooden table, and two chairs. Sitting there, one could gaze at the Aegean Sea scenery. The azure sky and the sea seemed to merge, and the sea breeze lifted the white sheer curtains, creating a relaxed and comfortable ambiance.

In the evening, Shen Su ordered room service. The waiter delivered dinner to the terrace. The long rectangular table was laden with food, and scented candles were lit. A vase nearby held a few fiery red roses.

The dinner dishes were typical Italian cuisine. Southern Italy placed even greater emphasis on traditional food, with all dishes featuring the most basic and classic pairings. Feng Feng was eating such authentic Italian food for the first time.

The taste was excellent: ravioli, classic Margherita pizza, rich basil and tomato aroma, accompanied by the sea breeze and red wine, was a great pleasure.

Shen Su watched Feng Feng's relaxed demeanor and knew his arrangements were successful. However, he still asked knowingly, "How do you feel about it?"

Feng Feng did not hesitate to praise, "It's very good. It's my first time eating such authentic Italian cuisine, and I really like the tiramisu."

Feng Feng already enjoyed wine, and traditional tiramisu had a much richer alcoholic flavor, which suited her palate perfectly. Compared to what she had eaten before, it seemed too bland.

Shen Su's best quality was his ability to easily engage in any topic of conversation. "Yes, although I'm generally not a fan of sweets, I think traditional tiramisu is quite good, with a very layered flavor."

Feng Feng took a sip of red wine and turned to look at the sea beyond the terrace. The sun had already set completely, and the Sicilian night view was equally beautiful. Looking closely, she could see people strolling on the beach, looking very leisurely.

Feng Feng said, "Let's go for a walk after dinner."

Shen Su immediately agreed, "Whatever you say."

Sicily had a pleasant climate, but the sea breeze was strong at night, and staying outdoors for too long could make one cold. Before they went out, Shen Su reminded Feng Feng to wear a jacket. Feng Feng had changed into yoga attire after arriving at the hotel that day and casually grabbed a sports jacket before going out. Shen Su looked at her as she put on the white jacket, his gaze fixed on her waist and hips, almost unable to look away.

Suddenly, he didn't want to go out anymore; he wanted to do something else in the hotel.

However, before he could think further, Feng Feng had already headed for the door. Shen Su snapped back to reality and followed her. They changed their shoes and walked out the door together.

Each villa in the hotel was independent and undisturbed. Shen Su and Feng Feng's villa was conveniently located very close to the sea, only a few hundred meters away. In the evening, many locals staying nearby came to the beach for a stroll. Asian faces were not common, so after walking a few steps, Feng Feng and Shen Su encountered enthusiastic locals who started talking to them.

The other person's English had a strong Italian accent, and Feng Feng struggled to understand, managing to grasp only a few words.

Later, Shen Su said something to the person with a smile, and Feng Feng and the middle-aged man opposite them showed surprised expressions almost simultaneously.

The middle-aged man immediately switched to his native language. Feng Feng couldn't understand what he was saying, but judging by his expression, he was likely impressed by Shen Su's Italian.

Shen Su smiled and nodded, replying to him. He had one hand in his pocket, looking calm and composed, truly appearing quite impressive.

Some languages possess a unique charm and aura. Even if one cannot understand or learn them, they are still drawn to them. Feng Feng had always felt that Italian and Spanish were such languages, naturally exuding sensuality.

Shen Su chatted with the middle-aged man for over ten minutes. Later, the man's family arrived, and he left.

When Shen Su turned to look at Feng Feng, he met her gaze. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Feng Feng asked, "You know Italian?"

Shen Su was quite humble, "A little, just enough for daily communication."

This statement was clearly an understatement. Judging by his previous conversation, he didn't seem to know "just a little." Feng Feng was even more curious: "When did you learn it?"

Shen Su smiled and said, "During my undergraduate studies, I had two minors: one was Italian, and the other was Spanish."

Feng Feng's usually calm face showed a rare expression of surprise, "You know Spanish too."

Seeing Feng Feng's expression, Shen Su's vanity was greatly satisfied. He tugged at his collar, adopting a somewhat smug posture, "It's alright. I earned degrees in both majors back then."

Shen Su had attended Cambridge for his undergraduate studies. Successfully graduating in his major already put him ahead of many. Not only did he graduate smoothly, but he also completed two additional degrees.

Perhaps it was because Shen Su usually acted like a rogue that Feng Feng had forgotten his actual educational background.
