Chapter 358: Chapter 358: Trial for 3 Days
Johan Niles was half dead with anger; he seriously suspected Connor was taking revenge on him because of Cora Ginger!
"Forget it, I’ll go talk to Young Master Hunter myself!"
He entered the hospital room and saw Director Valley changing Harry Hunter’s dressing. His master’s nagging was getting worse: "...These days, you need to stay calm, no running or jumping, preferably just lie in bed. Oh, right, you and your little wife can’t mess around either. Endure for a few days, or you’ll be in trouble if the wound splits open!"
Harry Hunter looked indifferent: "Do I look like I’m that desperate?"
"Yes!"
Johan Niles shook his head helplessly.
Master, is it really okay to always speak the blunt truth?
No wonder the hospital couldn’t keep running and was bought by the Star Region Group!
"Young Master, my sister is still insisting on being the bodyguard for your wife, please agree to it! She’s especially grateful to you for helping her get into the special forces, and she wants to help you. Give her a chance!"
Harry Hunter frowned: "No way. Her condition is poor; her reaction ability is nowhere near as strong as it was during the test."
"Ah well, she’s human too! Her health is really great. I’ve already checked. Yesterday’s situation won’t happen again! She was the best female soldier in the special forces and won championships in everything! Her reaction ability is excellent!"
Harry Hunter certainly knew Natalie Niles performed superbly in the special forces; it was after seeing her records that he decided to use her.
"Then why was she so mentally absent yesterday? Who would want a bodyguard like that? Have you ever seen Connor in a daze?"
Johan Niles hung his head; who could compare with that freak Connor, who guards Harry Hunter like an alert robotic dog daily, seemingly never tired.
The problem is, he doesn’t know why his sister was so mentally absent either!
He couldn’t even tell she was absent-minded; her face just didn’t look good. He thought she was sick or on her period, but taking her pulse showed there was nothing wrong!
His voice weakened: "Maybe it’s because it’s her first day as a bodyguard and she’s not used to it. Give her a few days to adjust. She’s very competitive; if you suddenly fire her, she’ll be really upset."
"From childhood till now, she’s always been protecting me. Now that I’ve grown up, I can at least say something for her in front of you. Even if she doesn’t want money, she wants to repay you, just this small wish. As her brother, I want to plea for her."
"My sister’s skills are certainly up to par. Just give her a trial period of a week and if she still doesn’t perform well, then you can fire her!"
Director Valley roughly understood and also pleaded for his disciple: "Young Master, you don’t want a free top-notch thug? It’s very hard to find such an outstanding female bodyguard now! A trial run is fine; you can’t just sentence her for dazing off once, right? It’s too cold and cruel!"
Harry Hunter put on his shirt, got out of bed, stood tall in the hospital room, exuding a subtle authoritative aura: "Three-day trial; let her report to Connor. She’ll receive a salary during the trial period, and I don’t need her gratitude."
Johan Niles was thrilled: "Great, thanks, Boss!"
Just after this was said, Isabella Weaver walked in from outside, dressed in sportswear, her face glowing with the flush after exercise, looking like she had been for a morning jog.
Harry Hunter stepped forward and held her hand, took down the white towel hanging around her neck to wipe her face.
Isabella Weaver felt a bit embarrassed; she grabbed the towel and greeted the master and disciple duo, Director Valley and Johan.
After responding, the duo quickly left the hospital room.
Harry Hunter’s eyes clearly said "Hurry and scram," and they didn’t dare stay inside as the third wheel.
