Chapter 319: Give Him a Stick!

Chapter 319: Chapter 319: Give Him a Stick!

Isabella Weaver closed her eyes briefly, suppressing the anxious unease inside her, and stood up to take out her phone.

As expected, the phone had no signal.

Unwilling to give up, she rummaged through Alexander Parker’s coat and took out his phone.

Likewise, no signal.

She kept her phone close, got up from the bed, and tried each window.

The windows of the farmhouse weren’t really sturdy; even though they were sealed, they could be broken with enough force.

The problem was, if she smashed a window, Alexander would definitely hear the noise.

As she was contemplating how to break the windows silently, she heard Alexander’s voice from outside the door: "Cousin, don’t bother, even if you smash the window, you can’t escape."

Isabella was very annoyed, she rummaged in the small room for half a day, and found a wooden stick.

She weighed it in her hand, took a deep breath, and suddenly pulled the door open.

Alexander, leaning against the door, was caught off guard and fell heavily.

Isabella swung the stick at his head!

With a dull "thud," the stick broke into two pieces!

Blood streamed down Alexander’s pale face instantly.

His gaze was cold and fierce as he looked at Isabella.

Isabella hadn’t expected him to remain conscious after taking such a solid hit. Clutching the broken stick, she turned to run.

Ella Weaver had just entered the courtyard when she saw Alexander beaten, with blood all over his head and face.

Seeing Isabella running out, she didn’t try to stop her but angrily scolded Alexander: "Is your brain fried? Why didn’t you dodge when she hit you? You could’ve easily avoided it!"

Alexander slowly got up, looked at the food box in her hand, eyes grim: "Leave the food and get out!"

Ella placed the food box on the ground casually, crossed her arms, and looked towards the courtyard gate.

Before long, Isabella came back.

Ella laughed gleefully: "Run, why didn’t you keep running? Did you think knocking out my cousin would let you escape?"

Isabella finally understood why Ella didn’t stop her when she saw the dozen or so burly bodyguards in front of her.

Alexander had already made full preparations.

Feeling extremely terrible, she suddenly swung the stick toward Ella’s head.

"Ouch!"

Ella dodged but couldn’t completely avoid the blow and yelled in pain as her ear was hit.

She picked up the broken stick and swung it towards Isabella.

However, the stick didn’t land on Isabella but instead hit Alexander.

He had quickly stepped in front of Isabella, shouting angrily at Ella: "Get out!"

"Why is my cousin still protecting her!"

Ella began to cry: "She never liked you! She smashed your head open, causing you to bleed! She’s just a ruthless, heartless bit--!"

"Smack!"

Her cheek received a sound slap!

Her cheek instantly swelled, and her mouth was filled with the taste of blood!

"Get out now or I’ll kill you."

His voice was sinister, murderous intent chilling; Ella’s facial pain was unbearable, but she didn’t dare to cry out again.

She hated Isabella to death!

Ella strode out, and as she was about to leave the yard, she remembered her task there.

Spitting out a mouthful of blood, she said through gritted teeth, full of hatred and anger: "You’ve changed the plan on your own, and now Harry Hunter and Shiely Morrison are alive! You owe everyone an explanation, none of us received the benefits you promised! You wait to be dealt with!"

Everything was initially agreed upon, his plan meticulous, his methods ruthless, but as soon as he saw Isabella, he lost all principles!

She regretted it immensely!

If only she’d given Alexander more drugs! Made his illness erupt more completely!

According to the doctor, the dosage should’ve been enough for him to lose his mind entirely, so why is he still protecting Isabella?!
