Chapter 2383: Cutting Off Options.
The second option for the half-god to revive is to find the body of strong angels to possess. He can also eat the souls of the angel of killing in order to recover his strength.
The more complete the angel of killing he possesses, the better for him because a complete angel of killing would have gained most of their power and will be in possession of all of their souls, which he wants to eat.
With a new strong body to use, he can still try to recover the authority of the pathway. As long as he can recover that authority before someone else on the pathway of killing does, everything will be fine.
For both options, the end goal is to recover the Authority of the pathway. As long as there is no new god of killing, he will remain the god of killing and will be able to recover his power once he comes into possession of the authority of the pathway.
Unfortunately, despite having two options, he still hasn’t been able to resurrect because of the Church of Justice and the insistence of their god on making things difficult for him.
The god of justice broke their corpse apart into small chunks and scattered it all over the world. Then he put epic godclads of the pathway of justice in charge of these chunks of justice.
This single move simultaneously made it difficult for anyone to use the corpse of the god of killing for anything and also turned the corpse into bait for the god of justice to attract and find powerful killers.
The bloody hearts and other parts of the corpse of the god of killing being put in epic godclads of the pathway of justice wasn’t by chance. The god of justice did it intentionally because he can use judges all over the world as his eyes and spies.
If anyone comes after the bloody hearts, they will be hunted quickly. If the person that comes after the bloody heart is a soul of the god of killing or an angel, then they will just fall into a trap.
This trap has eliminated many souls of the god of killing who thought they were smart. He too had tried to recover his flesh, but it had been very difficult because the flesh was scattered all over the body.
The reason he was able to avoid the trap was because he created an organization and used that organization to seek the bloody hearts for him. This move has saved his life many times.
But no matter what he does, he always fails because once many epic judges are killed and their bloody hearts stolen in a short amount of time, an angel of justice will be dispatched to recover the bloody hearts immediately and kill everyone involved in their theft.
So the option of recovering his flesh is a dead end. To top things off, the option of possessing a strong angel is a dead end too because the church of justice is always killing angels of killing as soon as they appear.
Maybe the angels of other pathways can remain hidden after they become angels, but it is nearly impossible for the angels of killing to remain hidden because their avatars will always go around killing people and destroying cities.
After making a lot of noise and killing a lot of people, the angels of killing will draw the attention of the church of justice to themselves. Then a complete angel of justice will be sent to eradicate them.
Killers are very powerful. This is even more so for the angel of killings. But an angel of killing who doesn’t have all of their divine abilities, can’t liberate their divine form, and lacks the complete capacity of spiritual energy because of an incomplete body cannot be a match for a complete angel of justice.
This disparity in their condition is why no angel of killing has ever survived the hunt of the church of justice. It is why soon after the news of the existence of an angel of killing arrives, news of the death of that angel follows.
As if things aren’t bad enough, the god of justice also sealed the authority of the pathway and is guarding it personally so that no one will be able to recover it.
So this half-god wasn’t lying when he claimed that the god of justice was leaving him with no way out. This is a feeling that he had been having for many years now.
The half-god sighed and said, "And to think I used to like that boy."
Back when he was the god of killing, he used to like the god of justice because the god of justice killed a lot of nobles all over the world. The god of justice had even waged war on the god of nobles.
As the god of killing, he liked warmongerers and people that cause the earth to flow with rivers of blood. In fact, he still continued to like the god of justice after he killed the main body of the god of killing.
Not only did he continue to like the god of justice, but he was also grateful to him because the action of severing his connection to the authority of killing saved him from madness.
Anyone will like and be grateful to someone who saved them. His appreciation of the god of justice would have increased if the god of justice had stepped back after killing the main body of the god of killing.
But the God of justice didn’t stop there. He took things too far and sought to eliminate the god of killing completely.
The god of justice still continued to wage war all over the world and killed many people. But there is no way that the half-god will like him after that.
This hatred for the god of justice had continued for more than a thousand years. Unfortunately, his hatred hasn’t helped him defeat the god of justice.
