Chapter 50 The Boy in the Wheelchair

Shen’s family asked Shen Huaijin to rest at home for a few days, considering his health. This also gave him time to drink the spiritual spring water Shen Yao had diluted for him to recuperate.

Most importantly, he was to keep an eye on the little chubby.

After the farmhouse opened, the Shen family became very busy. The little chubby was left at home under Mo Xuan’s care, while Ning Min had gone to help out.

Although she knew Mo Xuan was human in essence, she still wasn't entirely at ease. Now that Shen Huaijin was back, he was roped in.

Shen Huaijin’s patience with the little chubby was exemplary. He would watch whatever the little one did with a smile.

Soon, Shen Huaijin became the little chubby’s fourth favorite person, even surpassing his own father, Shen Huaimin.

Chuzhi stayed at Shen Yao’s house for two days, having a wonderfully enjoyable time. But, alas, today he had to leave.

He had only booked a room for two days and couldn’t stay any longer. So, he found Shen Yao to bid her a reluctant farewell.

“Sister Yao, wait for me. I’ll come back to play with you,” Chuzhi said to Shen Yao as he left.

That’s right, Chuzhi also called Shen Yao “Sister Yao” like Shen Yao’s little fan friends, not feeling at all that he was older than Shen Yao or that calling her that was inappropriate.

Shen Yao smiled upon hearing this, “Sure, you can all come back anytime. Next time, I’ll take you to go tide pooling.”

Chuzhi’s fans also left with him. They had booked their stay here solely because of Chuzhi, so they had also booked for two days.

During these two days, they had only gone out to play with Shen Yao and Shen Huaisang in the mountains, not visiting any other places.

Why didn’t they go elsewhere? They were afraid of missing the two meals provided by the farmhouse. They would have cried if they missed even one meal!

“Okay, if we can manage to grab a room,” one of them said with a hint of grievance in his tone.

Shen Yao smiled and saw them off from the farmhouse. At this point, taxis were not scarce around Shen’s farmhouse.

After Shen’s farmhouse opened, vehicles came and went incessantly every day. Soon, news of this incredibly popular farmhouse spread throughout the entire county.

Taxi drivers and some tricycle drivers who smelled business opportunities would pass by here every day, even if it wasn’t on their route.

But surprisingly, they could actually pick up quite a few passengers, which led to more and more cars passing by here.

Shortly after they left, another batch of guests arrived at the farmhouse.

This group seemed to be from a company. Judging by their attire and demeanor, they were clearly not ordinary people.

Moreover, they had booked small suites and double rooms, and most importantly, they had booked for a considerable duration, reserving for more than half a month.

So, Ayu and Xiaohua, who were handling the check-in for the guests, even discussed it. The cost alone was tens of thousands!

The arrival of this group also drew attention from others. The reason was simple: all of them were exceptionally good-looking, especially the young man at the front.

The young man appeared to be a handsome mixed-race boy, but he was being pushed in a wheelchair.

After they completed the check-in procedures, the people around the young man took their belongings upstairs, leaving only a man in black to push the wheelchair.

“Brother Luo, push me around,” the young man said, his voice very calm, without any fluctuation or vitality, lacking the youthful spirit expected of his age.

Upon hearing this, Luo Yunping slowly pushed the wheelchair, taking the young man around for a tour.

Even Luo Yunping, who frequently accompanied his boss and had seen much of the world, could not help but marvel at the sight of the farmhouse before him, calling it magnificent.

The layout here differed from the courtyard houses in Kyoto; it was even more aesthetically pleasing than those.

Most courtyard houses in Kyoto retained their traditional architecture, preserving the beauty imbued by culture. But this courtyard house was different. Its layout was designed purely for visual appeal, making it more broadly pleasing.

Luo Yunping pushed the young man to a pavilion and saw a stunningly beautiful girl sitting in it, talking to a handsome man. At their feet was a chubby child, about a year old.

A family of three?

Luo Yunping didn’t think so, as their appearances showed a 30-40% resemblance, suggesting they might be siblings.

Luo Yunping pushed the wheelchair into the small pavilion. From this spot, one could see most of the courtyard’s scenery.

“Excuse us,” Luo Yunping said to Shen Yao and Shen Huaijin.

Shen Yao had noticed them as they approached; they were unfamiliar faces, likely new guests.

“It’s no trouble.”

Luo Yunping helped the young man in the wheelchair up, and they sat on the stone bench in the pavilion.

“These are prepared by the owner here. Help yourselves if you want to eat.”

Shen Huaijin pointed to the items on the stone table in the center of the pavilion. These items were the yellow-toothed fruits and gooseberry fruits that Shen Yao had picked earlier, as well as some wild small persimmons, wild tree berries, and raspberries that Shen Huaisang had brought back.

They had picked too many of these, so Shen Huaimin had washed some and placed them in various pavilions of the farmhouse.

With the mugwort and mosquito repellent grass planted by Shen Yao in her spatial dimension, not a single mosquito could be found at their farmhouse, so they had no fear of small flying insects.

Seeing that neither of them intended to speak, Shen Huaijin did not disturb them further. Instead, he continued to chat quietly with Shen Yao about their earlier conversation, while Yuanzi looked curiously at the wheelchair.

“Yaoyao, are you serious?”

He could hardly believe what his sister, Shen Yao, had just told him. Shen Yao had suggested he start a breeding farm on the barren mountain behind them!

“Of course. If you don’t want to breed there, I can contract a few more mountains for you,” Shen Yao replied.

Shen Yao spoke of contracting additional mountain tops as casually as if she were offering him two ice creams.

Upon hearing this, Shen Huaijin quickly waved his hands. Shen Yao had given him one million yuan in cash the previous night, which had nearly scared him to death.

Only after hearing that everyone in the family had received it and after his family members’ persuasion did he finally accept it.

“The back mountain is fine. Just give me the two adjacent mountain tops near our home.”

Shen Huaijin had already learned that the barren mountains contracted by Shen Yao were planted with new varieties of saplings obtained from the agricultural academy.

These were now the darlings of the old professors at the agricultural academy and leaders from the city and county. He dared not raise anything there, as he would regret it terribly if he damaged even one.

As for the lychee orchard behind the mountain, he dared not touch it even more. His father had said that the lychees alone had sold for millions. That wasn’t just a lychee orchard; it was a money-making tree!

However, after tasting the lychees Shen Yao had specifically kept in her spatial dimension, he finally understood why one jin of lychees could sell for so much. The taste was exquisite!

After eating them, he regretted not returning sooner, as the lychees were nearing the end of their season.

“Alright, you can raise them first, and we’ll talk if it’s not enough. Don’t worry about anything else; with me here, you’ll definitely succeed.”
