"I repeat my words: if you dare to lay a finger on Jiang Yi again, we will sever all ties," Dongfang Mei declared. With that, she got out of the car and left.
Watching her depart, Dongfang Xun's expression grew grave.
"Master, should we still proceed with dealing with Jiang Yi? The young lady seems quite upset," the man in the suit asked Dongfang Xun.
"Jiang Yi must die!" Dongfang Xun stated. "She will eventually understand that I am doing this for her own good. Even if she hates me for life, I will have no regrets. From the moment I joined the Dongfang family, my life has belonged to them."
"Master, perhaps we should investigate first!" the man in the suit suggested.
"Investigate what?" Dongfang Xun inquired.
"Investigate whether Jiang Yi is a capable individual." The man in the suit continued, "Master, think about it. The young lady has very high standards; she wouldn't normally take notice of an ordinary man, yet she has taken a liking to Jiang Yi. Perhaps Jiang Yi is indeed a man of great ability, just that we are unaware of it."
Hearing this, Dongfang Xun's brow furrowed slightly.
"Furthermore, Madam. I've heard that Madam visited Jiang Province several times previously, specifically to meet Jiang Yi. Madam is an exceptionally intelligent woman; how could she possibly allow someone without any ability or capability to be her son-in-law?" the man in the suit pressed on.
Dongfang Xun began to contemplate.

"Understood." The man in the suit nodded.
The reason the man in the suit advised Dongfang Xun to investigate was to prevent a complete rift between Dongfang Xun and Dongfang Mei. He knew that once Jiang Yi was killed, the situation would be irreparable, and Dongfang Xun and Dongfang Mei would become mortal enemies. Moreover, the man in the suit had already seen two failed attempts to kill Jiang Yi, and he knew it was impossible to kill him.

Dongfang Xun glanced at Jiang Yi and instructed the man in the suit to follow them.
Upon arriving at the hospital entrance, Jiang Yi and Shen Lu alighted from the car. As they stepped out, they saw Xiao Jianren standing at the hospital entrance, accompanied by several high-ranking hospital officials.
"Jiang Yi, did Boss Ma call you?" Xiao Jianren asked Jiang Yi with a smile.
"What call?" Jiang Yi asked, unable to hide his curiosity.
"Didn't Boss Ma mention it that day? He said he'd call you when he had time to let you treat him, and Boss Ma even gave you his business card," Xiao Jianren explained.
"So that's what it's about!" Jiang Yi chuckled. "Boss Ma hasn't called me. He's probably very busy now and doesn't have time to bother with me."
Hearing this, Xiao Jianren's brow immediately furrowed.
"Jiang Yi, this is a major matter. How can you not take it seriously?" Xiao Jianren said with a solemn expression. "Boss Ma is a significant figure in the business world. If you can cure him, the benefits are immeasurable. First and foremost, you'll forge a connection with Boss Ma, and then your reputation and that of Fugui Hospital will skyrocket..."
Xiao Jianren elaborated on all the potential advantages. "Hurry and call Boss Ma to ask him when he's available. This cannot be delayed any further, or you'll lose your chance. Seeing that he couldn't evade it, Jiang Yi took out his phone and dialed Ma Bai's number. The call was connected quickly.
"Boss Ma, when do you have time? I'll come over to treat you!" Jiang Yi asked.
"I have time right now!" Ma Bai replied from the other end of the line, then gave Jiang Yi the address.
Jiang Yi hung up.
"How did it go?" Xiao Jianren asked expectantly.
"Boss Ma said he has time right now and gave me the address," Jiang Yi reported.
Upon hearing this, Xiao Jianren and the other hospital executives' faces lit up with excitement.
"This is wonderful! The opportunity has finally arrived!" Xiao Jianren clapped Jiang Yi on the shoulder and said, "It's all up to you this time. You must give it your all. If you manage to cure Boss Ma, I'll immediately promote you to Vice President."
"Really?" Jiang Yi feigned excitement.

"That's great!" Jiang Yi grinned.

Jiang Yi accepted the car keys without ceremony, opened the car door, and with Shen Lu, headed towards Ma Bai's villa.
An hour later, they arrived at the entrance of Ma Bai's villa. The villa was incredibly luxurious. Such a lavish villa would be hard to find even a few in the capital. The security guards at the entrance saw Jiang Yi arrive and immediately ran into the villa to report.

She had never imagined that Ma Bai would behave like Jiang Yi's subordinate, so meek and subservient, in front of him. Such a scene was truly astounding.
Across the street, in a car, Dongfang Xun looked somewhat bewildered. The man in the suit, however, was filled with shock.
"Who exactly is this Jiang Yi? How does he know Boss Ma? Boss Ma is ranked third on China's rich list; his wealth is enough to rival a nation."
