Chapter 133 The Wine Party

After leaving the villa, Jiang Yi drove directly to the Royal Hotel.

Upon arriving at the entrance of the Royal Hotel, Jiang Yi walked straight inside.

However, just as he reached the main entrance, he was stopped by a security guard.

"Sir, please show your invitation!" the security guard said to Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi felt a bit exasperated. He was attending uninvited, so he didn't have an invitation.

"This kid clearly doesn't have an invitation!" a rich second generation, dressed in a white suit and all branded clothing, said with a sneer.

"This kid is dressed ordinarily, wearing stuff from a street stall, and that car he drives looks rented. How could he possibly afford a luxury car worth a hundred million?"

Jiang Yi sneered. It seemed there were quite a few people in Li Du City who looked down on others.

"Kid, get lost, don't waste our time!" the rich second generation said dismissively to Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi looked back and saw a long queue behind him, comprising over a hundred business elites waiting to enter the hotel.

Just as Jiang Yi was pondering how to get in, a hotel manager came out from inside. He glanced at Jiang Yi, whispered a few words to the security guard, and then left.

The security guard stood frozen on the spot. After coming to his senses, the guard quickly and respectfully said to Jiang Yi, "Mr. Jiang, my apologies for the earlier offense. Please forgive us!"

"You know me?" Jiang Yi asked the guard.

"No!" the guard quickly replied. "Our manager just said that you are a distinguished guest and do not require an invitation."

The security guard's attitude now was a stark contrast to his previous demeanor. Jiang Yi found it strange. He didn't know anyone from the Royal Hotel, so how could they know him?

Jiang Yi didn't dwell on it further and walked directly into the hotel. Seeing Jiang Yi swagger into the hotel, the business elites behind him were quite surprised, especially the rich second generation.

"Damn it, how does that beggar know people from the Royal Hotel?" the rich second generation wondered aloud.

"Sir, please mind your words. Mr. Jiang is a distinguished guest of our hotel. If you insult Mr. Jiang again, we will have to ask you to leave," the security guard said to the rich second generation.

Upon hearing this, the rich second generation fell silent.

Today's gathering was hosted by the Royal Hotel. The Royal Hotel's businesses spanned the entire China, with branches in every city, totaling tens of thousands of hotels. The Royal Hotel was wealthy and influential but always remained low-key, never participating in business rivalries. However, no one dared to provoke the Royal Hotel.

No one knew who the big boss of the Royal Hotel was, but there were many rumors. Some said the owner was a major foreign entrepreneur, while others claimed it was a wealthy individual from Beijing. In short, there were all sorts of speculation, but no one had ever seen him.

After entering the lobby, Jiang Yi found a seat and scanned the room. He did not see Shen Quan, which disappointed him. He had expected Shen Quan to attend the event, but he didn't see a single trace of him. The lobby was filled with business elites, gathered in groups of three to five, mingling and conversing. Jiang Yi seemed out of place among them.

Suddenly, the chatter of the crowd died down, and many people turned their attention towards the staircase, their eyes widening in astonishment. Jiang Yi, feeling curious, followed their gaze. He saw a woman in a red evening gown descending the stairs, her figure hot and sexy. More importantly, she was stunningly beautiful and charming, capable of captivating any man at first sight. To put it crudely, this woman looked like a fox spirit, specifically designed to ensnare men's souls. Furthermore, she possessed an aura that ordinary women lacked, like an imperious princess, exuding a sense of satiation from worldly desires fulfilled.

As the crowd saw this woman, they couldn't take their eyes off her, wishing they could imprint her image onto their very beings. Jiang Yi, upon clearly seeing the woman's face, was stunned! This woman was none other than Dongfang Mei. She had indeed come to Li Du City.

Recovering from his shock, Jiang Yi turned to leave.

"Stop!" Dongfang Mei walked directly towards Jiang Yi.

Jiang Yi took a deep breath and halted his steps.

"You think you can run? Not a chance." Dongfang Mei blocked Jiang Yi's path. Jiang Yi was speechless.

Just then, the rich second generation from the entrance walked over, smiling broadly, and said to Dongfang Mei, "Miss, did this kid offend you? Don't worry, I'll handle him for you!" Soon, many people gathered around, offering to deal with Jiang Yi for Dongfang Mei. Their intention was clearly to attract Dongfang Mei's attention and win her favor.

"Try anyone of you laying a hand on him." Dongfang Mei scanned the surrounding people.

Her words left them bewildered.

"He is my future husband. Anyone who touches him, I will kill them," Dongfang Mei declared with a snort.

Her statement drew expressions of disbelief and dismay from the crowd, as if a prized gem had been tarnished. Many even wished they could kill Jiang Yi with their stares. Soon, the crowd dispersed. Dongfang Mei was already taken, and continuing to cause a scene would be futile.

"You thought you could escape, and I wouldn't find you?" Dongfang Mei smiled charmingly at Jiang Yi. "I am now the General Manager of the Royal Hotel. I call the shots here. You were stopped by the security guard at the entrance earlier. If I hadn't spoken up, you wouldn't have been able to get in."

Hearing this, Jiang Yi finally understood that it was Dongfang Mei who had helped him earlier.

"How did you become the General Manager of this hotel?" Jiang Yi asked, curious.

"Don't forget, I am the eldest daughter of the Dongfang family," Dongfang Mei said with a hint of pride. "The ultimate owner of the Royal Hotel is my mother. I only needed to say a word to her, and I could easily become the General Manager."

Jiang Yi was somewhat taken aback! He hadn't expected the Royal Hotel to belong to the Dongfang family. And the owner was Dongfang Mei's mother, Liu Hong.

"I have matters to attend to. Goodbye, no, it's good riddance!" Jiang Yi said, turning to leave.

"You don't want Shen Quan anymore?" Dongfang Mei asked with a smile.

Hearing this, Jiang Yi stopped.

"How do you know I'm looking for Shen Quan?" Jiang Yi asked, frowning.

"Shen Lu told me," Dongfang Mei replied with a slight smile. "I knew that after you came to Li Du City, you would definitely look for Shen Lu, so I had Shadow follow you all along. I know where you are staying and what you are planning to do next."

Jiang Yi was speechless! Shen Lu had told Dongfang Mei everything.

"Did you bribe Shen Lu?" Jiang Yi continued to ask.

"I didn't bribe her. I just agreed to one thing, and she told me everything," Dongfang Mei said with a charming smile.
