Chapter 29 Chilling Aura

"Shut up," the man shot Mu Anxiao a death glare.

Mu Anxiao stumbled back several steps, frightened.

Ye Yinxiao scoffed, "I never expected you to turn out like this, a coward."

"You shut up," the man roared.

Shen Yan, standing not far away, clearly heard the sounds from Mu Anxiao's direction reaching his ears. He chuckled, "So that's how it is. No wonder that kid knows this place so well." He then curved his lips upward.

Mu Anxiao, still staring at the demon with an unclear relationship to Ye Yin in front of her, instantly cast aside her earlier, unbidden courage. She whispered, "Since you know each other, then I'm no longer needed here, right?"

"Your aura is very suitable for me," the man suddenly turned to Mu Anxiao and said.

Mu Anxiao's smile froze on her face, "What did you say? I don't understand."

The man glared at Ye Yin, stepped forward to Mu Anxiao, and leaned in, bringing his face close to hers. "That vine was me. If I hadn't helped you today, do you think you could have gotten up here so quickly?"

Mu Anxiao stared wide-eyed at the man's frighteningly close face and said, "Your face is green."

"You noticed," the man made no move to straighten up.

Mu Anxiao gazed at the man's glowing green eyes, especially feeling the chill emanating from him. She was terrified.

"Brother, please spare me."

"Spare you?" the man grabbed Mu Anxiao's arm, "Do you think that's possible?"

The moment the man grabbed her arm, Mu Anxiao shivered. Her lips began to tremble, "It's so cold."

"Die," the man said coldly.

Mu Anxiao trembled so much her eyes rolled back. She said, "What did you say? I don't understand."

The green light in the man's eyes grew brighter. "Death, you should understand that, right?" As he spoke, he slowly moved his hand from Mu Anxiao's arm to her neck.

Mu Anxiao continued to tremble and shook her head slightly.

Behind the tree, Shen Yan calmly watched everything unfold and muttered, "Mu Anxiao's resolve is truly not very firm." He then shook his head.

Ye Yin, witnessing the man's cruel side, narrowed her eyes and said, "Don't you know the consequences for a demon killing someone?"

"What did you say?" the man asked, coldly looking at Mu Anxiao, who was gradually losing consciousness.

Ye Yin glanced at the nearly suffocating Mu Anxiao and said, "As far as I know, you're finished."

Hearing Ye Yin's words, the man's eyes widened. He quickly swung the hand he held at Mu Anxiao's neck forcefully towards Ye Yin. Ye Yin dodged swiftly and said, "Don't you want to know why you can't get this?" She held up the booklet.

The man was successfully drawn in by Ye Yin's question, turning and taking two steps forward. "You must have cast some spell on it."

"I don't have that kind of ability," Ye Yin said, glancing at the frozen Mu Anxiao and frowning.

Following Ye Yin's gaze, the man looked sideways at Mu Anxiao, "You want to save her?"

"Yes," Ye Yin nodded and said, "If I'm not mistaken, your purpose for seeking out those destined girls is not simple, is it?"

"What I want to do is none of your business," the man said, stepping back and returning to Mu Anxiao's side.

"She is a man, her yang energy is too strong, it's no benefit to your cultivation," Ye Yin sternly warned.

The man reached out and grabbed Mu Anxiao's neck. "Truly a Ginkgo Tree demon, unable to distinguish between a man and a woman."
