"Shut up," Shen Yan shot Mu Anxiao a look.
Mu Anxiao scoffed quietly. In the moment their eyes met again, he locked sight with the boy in front of him.
"So you're the immortal my junior sister fancies," the boy said coldly.
Mu Anxiao had already anticipated his junior sister's senior brother would treat him this way. After a moment's hesitation, he said, "It's her wishful thinking. I don't fancy her."
"You scumbag," the boy suddenly exclaimed.
"On what grounds do you call me a scumbag?" Mu Anxiao deliberately raised his voice, but it was still no match for the boy's.
"I've never carried my junior sister, but you did, and you won't even commit to her..."
"Are you sick? It was your junior sister who insisted I carry her. Logically speaking, it should be..." Mu Anxiao glanced at the girl and continued, "She who should be responsible for me."
"Are you even a man?" the boy shouted angrily.
"Of course I'm not a man."
The instant Mu Anxiao said those words, just as Shen Yan raised a finger to cast a spell, Mu Anxiao continued, "Because I'm a little boy, just like you."
Shen Yan lowered her hand.
"Who are you calling a little boy?" The boy, his face flushed, pointed at Mu Anxiao. "I'm a real man."
Mu Anxiao looked at the boy's young, immature face with amusement, and laughed, "You know what you look like right now? You're just like..."
The boy calmed down a little, and asked stiffly, "Like what?"
Mu Anxiao cupped his chin, musing to himself, "Hmm, if I say the word, I'll seem too immoral. Hmm... how should I put it?"
Seeing Mu Anxiao lost in his own thoughts, the boy grew impatient. "Just say it. You're really annoying like this."
"You say I'm annoying?" Mu Anxiao disliked the feeling of being disliked for no reason. He took his hand away from his chin, looked up at the boy, wrinkled his nose, and blurted out, "You're just like that, trying to act like a big shot."
"You, you! Don't think you're so great," the boy, flustered, pointed at Mu Anxiao's face twice. "You're the same. You can't wait for everyone to know you're an immortal. Honestly, this is the first time I've ever seen an immortal as short as you."
Mu Anxiao wasn't angry at all. Instead, he appeared nonchalant. "Tsk, tsk, you big shot, talking like you've seen immortals. You're just talking without feeling the pain."
"What does my back hurting have to do with you?" the boy's face turned red.
Mu Anxiao, on the contrary, calmly replied, "I didn't say it had anything to do with me. Anyway, you're the one hurting, not me, little boy."
"You midget!" the boy shouted, pointing at Mu Anxiao, and directly rolled up his sleeves. "Today, I'll see just how powerful you immortal really are."
"What are you doing?" Mu Anxiao asked, glancing at his sleeve-rolling gesture born of anger.
"I want to spar with you today," the boy said, then looked at the girl. "Junior sister, watch this. Today I'll show you how worthless the immortal in your heart truly is."
"A good immortal doesn't fight with ordinary people," Mu Anxiao suppressed his inner panic and feigned composure.
Shen Yan glanced at Mu Anxiao, then stepped forward, standing behind him. "I'll fight you."
The boy tilted his head up to look at Shen Yan, who was half a head taller than him, and swallowed. "I'm not fighting you. I want to fight this midget." He pointed at Mu Anxiao.
