Chapter 325 Devouring Soul Breath

"I prefer to throw it myself," Feng Qishi said lightly when the wind rose.

"Quirky," Zhang Yan pointed at Feng Qishi.

Feng Qishi shrugged indifferently and walked around Zhang Yan.

Zhang Yan sighed and followed Feng Qishi.

Mu Anxiao ignored everyone and supported Yan Ruoruo as she left the screening hall, then went to a corner of the mall.

Zhang Yan looked at Yan Ruoruo's eyes turning increasingly purple and said, "Her body is devouring the soul energy of that evil spirit. The more the evil spirit struggles, the faster she will devour it."

"What should we do?" Mu Anxiao asked, disregarding Yan Ruoruo's reaction.

"Don't you have a way?" Feng Qishi stopped beside Mu Anxiao and asked.

Mu Anxiao glanced at Feng Qishi and said, "I originally intended for the evil spirit to leave her body on its own. I didn't expect this to happen."

Yan Ruoruo looked at the conversation between Mu Anxiao and Feng Qishi and said, "Isn't there one more person among you?"

Zhang Yan had long anticipated that Yan Ruoruo would accept everything so easily. He waved his arm and appeared before her. "Hello."

"Old man," Yan Ruoruo said impolitely.

"What's wrong with being old? You're not convinced?" Zhang Yan said coldly.

"Not unconvinced," Yan Ruoruo said halfway through. Zhang Yan suddenly waved his arm, and Yan Ruoruo's eyes rolled back as she slid down the wall and fell to the ground.

Mu Anxiao calmly watched the fainted Yan Ruoruo and said, "Now we must lure the evil spirit out of her body."

"I know," Zhang Yan nodded, squatting down and placing his hand on Yan Ruoruo's head. "Evil spirit, I advise you to cooperate with me fully, or I will make you disappear."

"I'm out, and then I can..."

"An evil spirit only has one chance to possess a body and be reborn. Either you come with me, or your soul will be annihilated."

"You're lying. My brother told me we have the right to choose bodies freely..."

"He lied to you," Zhang Yan said, beginning to circulate his energy.

"Impossible, you're lying to me."

"If you had the freedom to choose, why can't you get out now?" Zhang Yan countered.

The evil spirit was speechless.

"Come out. You've used my violet fire for so many years; it's time to return it."

"The violet fire is mine," the evil spirit insisted.

"What belongs to you will always belong to you; what doesn't, never will," Zhang Yan said. He suddenly retracted his hand, and a purple light returned to his palm. "Well, that second evil spirit is truly stingy, only giving you this little bit of violet fire."

Inside Yan Ruoruo, the evil spirit's body suddenly tilted forward the moment Zhang Yan reclaimed the violet fire. It said, "You're lying. My brother would never lie to me because we are brothers."

"He's using you, you fool," Zhang Yan said, gently tapping Yan Ruoruo's shoulder with his index finger.

"Impossible."

"If that's the case, let me ask you, did he mention anything about backlash?" Zhang Yan asked seriously.

The evil spirit thought for a moment, then looked up through Yan Ruoruo's body at Zhang Yan's serious expression and said, "No, but I think he didn't know either."

"Do you know where he is now?"

"I do. He's with Shi Momo right now. I can feel him," the evil spirit said firmly.

Zhang Yan snorted softly, glanced at Mu Anxiao standing by, and continued, "Fool, that guy's target is Feng Feng, not Shi Momo."

"I just felt it," the evil spirit said excitedly.

"That's your soul energy. If I'm not mistaken," Zhang Yan held Yan Ruoruo's pulse, "half of your soul energy has already been imbued into her." After speaking, he released the hand holding Yan Ruoruo's pulse.

"How could this be?" the evil spirit asked in disbelief.

"If she didn't agree, a backlash would naturally occur. This means," Zhang Yan sneered, "you were deceived and are still counting money for others, even thinking of being their sister, unaware that your future sister has utterly tricked you."

Hearing Zhang Yan's words and looking at the dark surroundings, the evil spirit asked, "How can I get out?"

"Of course, I'll help you, but you have to listen to me first."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Yan turned to Feng Qishi, who had suddenly spoken up, and smiled. "Younger brother, this is probably none of your business, right?"

Feng Qishi gave an unnatural smile. "Big brother, aren't you the one supposed to say that?"

"You really add words out of nowhere," Zhang Yan said helplessly.

Feng Qishi grinned, turned his head to look at Mu Anxiao, who was staring at Yan Ruoruo's face, and said, "It seems you're quite frustrated."

"Very frustrated. I didn't expect to be led around by that scoundrel," Mu Anxiao said weakly.

"It's okay. Things haven't progressed too far; you still have a chance to save the situation," Feng Qishi said optimistically.

Mu Anxiao looked at his palm and said, "I hope so."

Zhang Yan looked sideways at Mu Anxiao's dejected expression and said, "Don't just hope; it's your turn to act."

Mu Anxiao frowned, looked up at Zhang Yan, and asked, "Don't I need a week to recover?"

"Look at your wound," Zhang Yan pointed at Mu Anxiao's arm.

Mu Anxiao lowered his head, stared at the bandage, frowned, and asked, "Why don't I feel anything?" As he spoke, he quickly pulled off the bandage and saw that his wound had healed.

"You can cast spells now," Zhang Yan said, extending his hand towards the violet fire in his palm.

Feng Qishi smiled. "This way, I don't have to worry."

"Who asked you to worry?" Mu Anxiao glanced at Feng Qishi, then looked at Zhang Yan and asked, "Why are you showing me this?"

"Violet fire can harm people in the hands of the wicked, but it can heal in the hands of the owner. Understand?" Zhang Yan said, retracting the violet fire.

"You're quick. I didn't even react," Mu Anxiao said, looking at Yan Ruoruo.

Feng Qishi glanced at both Mu Anxiao and Zhang Yan and asked, "That's strange. We're here," he looked at the people walking by, "but they can't see us?"

"It's shielded," Zhang Yan explained concisely.

"As expected of my brother. He really is elusive in his actions..."

Zhang Yan put on a solemn expression and said, "In the future, I'll show you my true strength."

"Okay," Feng Qishi replied with a simple grin.

Mu Anxiao glanced at Feng Qishi, stepped forward to Yan Ruoruo, and crouched down. "It might be a bit painful. Endure it."

"It wasn't painful for me to enter; why would it be painful to leave?" the evil spirit asked.

"Haven't you heard the saying, it's easy to get in and hard to get out?" As he spoke, Mu Anxiao reached out and tapped Yan Ruoruo's forehead.

Unexpectedly, just as Mu Anxiao began to channel his energy, Feng Qishi's eyes deepened, and he quickly stepped to Mu Anxiao's side.

Mu Anxiao frowned slightly. "What are you doing here?"

"I don't think your technique is right," Feng Qishi felt a force drilling towards his palm.

"You understand..."

Before Mu Anxiao could utter two words, a flicker of determination flashed in Feng Qishi's eyes. He then bent down, pulled Mu Anxiao away, and in Shen Yan's voice, said, "I'll do it."
