Chapter 277 An Apology from Auntie

"Did you... really not say anything?" Feng Feng lowered his voice.

"Of course not. Your mother said your elder brother was foolish from constantly studying, not talkative, and always muttering to himself. So she asked me to supervise him, saying," the aunt thought for a moment, "she was afraid his personality wouldn't fare well at school, and asked me to keep an eye on him and report any situation to her. Just like that incident earlier, I thought if I didn't say anything and your mother saw it when she returned, I'd be in serious trouble. I have children to raise, you know."

"As long as you didn't say anything, I'm fine," Feng Feng said with a smile.

"Feng Feng," the aunt glanced nervously upstairs, then patted Feng Feng's arm, "Your brother doesn't know I said anything, right?"

"Auntie, you underestimate my brother. Actually," Feng Feng rubbed the back of his head, "Never mind, I won't talk to you about it."

"You tell me," the aunt's expression turned anxious.

"Actually, he knows everything. He just doesn't want to expose you. Honestly, when he didn't say anything just now," Feng Feng chuckled twice, "I really didn't expect you to report him."

"He knows." The aunt's eyes gradually filled with panic.

"Auntie, my brother..."

"No, I should go check on him. He was actually very kind to me. Since he knows, it’s better for me to be upfront." The aunt said, stood up, and quickly walked upstairs.

Feng Feng watched the aunt run upstairs from the side, chuckled softly, and then looked back, picked up the remote control, turned on the TV, and continued watching the unfinished cartoon.

The aunt arrived at Feng Qishi's door and carefully raised her hand to knock, saying, "Qishi, Auntie has something to tell you."

Inside the room, Feng Qishi glanced at Mu Anxiao, who was meditating and circulating energy, and said, "Auntie, can you say it later? I'm doing my homework."

"You didn't even bring your schoolbag back," the aunt said casually.

Feng Qishi hadn't realized it until the aunt mentioned it. He suddenly remembered that he hadn't brought anything with him when he left school. Then, he glanced at Mu Anxiao and said, "Oh, I'm working on problems. I finished my homework at school."

Hearing Feng Qishi's words, the aunt thought: he must be angry. With that thought, she knocked twice more and said, "Qishi, can you come out for a moment?"

Upon hearing this, Feng Qishi looked at Mu Anxiao, who was emitting a blue light, and said, "No, I'm finished with this, I'll come down to find you later."

The moment Feng Qishi said this, the aunt became anxious: "Qishi, Auntie knows you're angry with me. I had no choice but to tell your mother. If you can, please come out, I want to explain myself."

Feng Qishi frowned, thinking Feng Feng must have said something to the aunt.

"Qishi, I want to explain myself. I know you're angry." The aunt said again when Feng Qishi didn't reply.

Feng Qishi knew the aunt was someone who overthought things, but the current situation was tricky. He was quiet for a few seconds, then had an idea. He stood up, walked to the bed, grabbed the blanket, and said "Sorry" behind Mu Anxiao before covering her with it. He then straightened his clothes, walked around her to the door, unlocked it, and opened it a crack, saying, "Auntie, I understand your difficulties. Who told you to be the boss of this house? It's my mother."

"Qishi," the aunt's eyes welled up with tears, "Auntie was wrong."

"Auntie, I don't blame you," Feng Qishi said. While the aunt lowered her head, he opened the door, stepped out, and closed it behind him, saying, "Don't overthink it, just do what you need to do. As for me, I still have a few problems to solve. As you know, I'm facing a major exam soon, and you wouldn't want to affect me, would you?"
