Chapter 279 Timely Invisibility

When the wind picked up, he stopped behind Mu Anxiao, poked his head out to glance at the changing sky, and asked, "Hey, is it only us who can see if it's going to rain?"

"What are you thinking about?" Mu Anxiao glanced at Feng Qishi, then shifted her gaze back to the sky.

"Didn't you say that these changes in the sky, it's only us..."

"This is a normal change. If it were abnormal, there would be a beam of light in the sky resembling magic, which humans cannot see." Mu Anxiao explained patiently.

"So that's how it is. It seems I still have a lot to learn," Feng Qishi nodded in realization.

Mu Anxiao cast a sideways glance at Feng Qishi and thought, *You're the one who told me all this.* With that, she sighed and closed the window gauze.

"My mom knows," Feng Qishi said, stepping back.

Mu Anxiao turned to him, "I understand."

"The sky has already changed, I suspect she will..."

Feng Qishi's words were cut short as Feng Feng burst through the door, shouting, "Brother, Mom's back."

Mu Anxiao looked calmly at Feng Feng, saying nothing.

Seeing Mu Anxiao standing there, Feng Feng hurried into the room, closed the door with his back to it, and said, "You're awake."

"Thank you," Mu Anxiao nodded slightly.

"No need to thank me, but since Mom's back, you're in for it."

"You go stall her first," Feng Qishi said calmly after glancing at Mu Anxiao.

"Okay, you guys be careful," Feng Feng said, waving at Mu Anxiao before turning and leaving the room.

Then, a second after Feng Feng closed the door, Mu Anxiao said, "This is the second floor. If I go down, I shouldn't be suspected."

"Mm, go ahead," Feng Qishi said. He turned, crouched down, and reached under the bed, pulling out a bundle of rope.

Mu Anxiao looked at Feng Qishi. Just as she was about to open the window to jump, the circular disk in her pocket began to spin.

Feng Qishi stood up, pointed at Mu Anxiao's pocket, and said, "Something in your pocket is moving."

Mu Anxiao felt the disk through her pocket, then quickly turned and looked out the window, saying, "Not good, they're here." With that, she tapped her shoulder with her finger and vanished.

Feng Qishi looked at Mu Anxiao, who had barely changed in appearance, and said, "I can still see you."

"It doesn't count if you can see me," Mu Anxiao said. Just as she was about to move, there was movement outside the room.

"Mom, I've already chased her away," Feng Feng said, following behind Feng Mu.

Feng Mu glanced at Feng Feng, stepped to the door, and shouted, "Feng Qishi, you're really going against me, aren't you?" With that, she grabbed the doorknob and opened the door, looking at Feng Qishi, who was standing by the window holding a rope.

Feng Feng stood behind Feng Mu with a helpless sigh.

Feng Qishi casually dropped the rope on the ground, glanced at the calm Mu Anxiao standing in place, and said, "How am I going against you?"

"I told you not to be with that village girl, but you insisted on being with her. Tell me, isn't that going against me?" Feng Mu said angrily.

"Mom, that's enough," Feng Qishi said impatiently.

"I've had enough, have you?" Feng Mu said, striding into the room and looking around, shouting, "Village girl, you get out here! I'm telling you, you better have no dealings with my son. Get out!"

Seeing this shrewish side of Feng Mu, Mu Anxiao covered her ears, annoyed by the noise, and deliberately said, "Your mother really loves you. Listening to her voice, I'm already scared."

Feng Qishi glanced at Mu Anxiao, then looked at Feng Mu and said, "Mom, she's already gone. No matter how loudly you call, she can't hear you."
