The man glanced sideways at Shi Momo and asked, "What's wrong with her?"
"You scared her unconscious," Mu Anxiao said casually, half-turning to Feng Qishi. "What are you still standing there for? Go help her up."
"I won't," Feng Qishi turned his face away.
"I'll do it," the man said, about to turn. Mu Anxiao shifted her gaze to his face. "You're this dejected because of her, aren't you?"
Feng Qishi froze for a moment and turned his gaze to the man's face.
The man retracted his stepping foot and asked, "What is dejection?"
"It's nothing, anyway, I think you..." Mu Anxiao, while the man was waiting for her reply, snapped her fingers behind her back and continued, "You'd better not bother with her. After all, someone else is meeting her now."
"What do you mean?" Feng Qishi asked displeasantly.
Mu Anxiao ignored Feng Qishi and turned to Shi Momo, who had opened her eyes. "You're a young lady of nobility, yet you can sleep on the roadside."
Shi Momo touched the back of her head and looked at the man, shouting, "Aren't you going to leave?"
The man turned around, lowered his eyelids slightly, and asked, "Do you want me to die?"
"Go to hell, what does it have to do with me," Shi Momo said unceremoniously, standing up.
The man nodded. "Okay, I understand." He then turned to Mu Anxiao.
"You'd die for a woman who doesn't even look at you," Mu Anxiao raised her head and stared at the man's face. "Is that fair to your family?"
"It's all because of my family that she... that she doesn't want to continue with me. If I had been more resolute, if I hadn't listened to my mother, Momo would never have broken up with me. For them, I've gained nothing. I might as well die," the man said in a low voice.
Shi Momo indifferently walked in front of Feng Qishi. "This is just my ex-boyfriend. Qishi, don't misunderstand." She reached out her hand to Feng Qishi.
Feng Qishi instinctively took a step back and said, "What does your business have to do with me? I'm still just a student. If you pester me like this, aren't you like an old cow trying to eat young grass?"
"I won't allow you to speak to her like that," the man's eyes widened. He stepped forward a few paces and roared at Feng Qishi.
Feng Qishi snorted and turned his face away.
"You just said you almost suffocated. Alright then," Mu Anxiao looked at the back of the man's head. "Let me ask you, is that feeling of being close to death good?"
Hearing this, the man froze for a moment, then suddenly recalled the fleeting sense of helplessness, and then looked at Shi Momo, who was glaring at him, and said, "No."
"You're still young, you have a bright future ahead of you," Mu Anxiao said, stepping forward and circling to the front of the man. "In life, we are constantly losing and gaining. You are an excellent person, and this woman is blind."
"Am I really that good?"
"Although this is only our second meeting, I can see that you are a good person," Mu Anxiao said firmly.
"No one has ever affirmed me like this," the man smiled faintly.
"No, your parents have always affirmed you, but some people," Mu Anxiao glanced at Shi Momo, "have blinded you."
The man nodded.
Shi Momo, clearly displeased, turned to Mu Anxiao and said, "Are you sick?"
Hearing this, Mu Anxiao half-turned to Shi Momo and asked, "Are you talking about me?"
