“I don’t know. When I saw her, she was already on the ground. Then I saw your ex-friend standing next to her. Before I could ask anything, your ex-friend ran off,” Feng Qishi explained.
“I’ll call her.”
“Don’t,” Feng Qishi said, standing up and walking over to Feng Feng. “Give me her phone number, I’ll call. You shouldn’t get involved in this.”
“Alright,” Feng Feng agreed, taking out her phone from her pocket and handing it to Feng Qishi. “There’s no screen lock.”
Feng Qishi took the phone and paused, asking, “What’s her name?”
“Ruoruo.”
“Ruoruo, that name sounds pretty weak.” Feng Qishi said, then within moments found “Ruoruo” among Feng Feng’s contacts. “Oh, it’s not that weak character, disappointment.” He then handed the phone back to Feng Feng.
Feng Feng frowned. “Didn’t you need to send it to yourself?”
“Got it,” Feng Qishi said, glancing at Feng Feng. He picked up his own phone and quickly saved Ruoruo’s number, though he had changed the character for ‘Ruo’ to ‘Ruo’ without permission.
“Her surname is Yan.”
“I know,” Feng Qishi nodded, turning off his phone’s screen. “I have a bad feeling about this.”
“Me too,” Feng Feng echoed. She turned and walked to the door, pausing before opening it, and the aunt’s smiling face greeted her.
The aunt hadn’t expected them to find her and gave an awkward smile. “I was just coming to ask if you’ll be having dinner tonight, Qishi?”
Feng Qishi stepped back and sat on the sofa, saying, “Don’t mind me. I might have to go to the hospital later.”
“Go to the hospital?” the aunt asked in surprise.
Feng Qishi didn’t bother to reply and started playing with his phone.
Feng Feng looked at the aunt and said, “Auntie, I need to talk to you.”
“Talk?” The aunt’s smile stiffened as she looked at Feng Feng’s serious expression.
“Yes,” Feng Feng nodded, stepping out of the room and pulling the door closed behind her with her back to it. She then said coldly, “I heard.”
“Heard what?” The aunt’s eyebrows shot up.
“I heard you calling my mother, Auntie,” Feng Feng said, taking the aunt’s arm. “I’m quite direct. I think we need to have a good talk.” With that, she forcibly pulled the aunt towards the stairs.
In the room, Feng Qishi looked up at the door and chuckled, “That guy is indeed not a pushover.” He then noticed Mu Anxiao’s fingers twitching slightly and muttered, “She’s awake already? I wanted to take her for a tour of the hospital. Disappointment.”
Mu Anxiao frowned, slowly opened her eyes, and asked, “Where am I?”
“My place,” Feng Qishi said, showing no intention of getting up.
Mu Anxiao propped herself up on her elbow and sat up, touching her stomach. “That guy’s purple fire really is powerful.” Saying that, she threw off the covers and got out of bed.
“Aren’t you going to lie down a bit longer?” Feng Qishi asked, looking up at her.
Mu Anxiao looked around the room. “Is this your room?”
“Luxurious, isn’t it? Envious?” Feng Qishi said with a boastful air.
“It’s alright, not as good as mine.”
“What’s so good about your place? Nothing there, just carriages,” Feng Qishi said, his tone competitive.
“What’s wrong with carriages? People here might not be able to handle horses,” Mu Anxiao said, clutching her stomach as her face contorted slightly.
“You should still lie down. Your complexion isn’t good,” Feng Qishi said, pointing at Mu Anxiao’s face.
