After the woman walked away, Feng Qishi fixed his gaze on Mu Anxiao’s face.
Mu Anxiao had initially found the woman suspicious, but the moment the woman spoke, she dismissed her unease. Now, she felt the surrounding environment was indeed peculiar.
“Shen Fengzi, why are you so quiet?” Mu Anxiao asked, turning to Feng Qishi and startling herself. “What, what are you looking at me for?”
“If you were a man, you’d definitely be the type that women find very attractive,” Feng Qishi replied.
Mu Anxiao frowned. “What do you mean by that?”
“Nothing much,” Feng Qishi shrugged.
Mu Anxiao shot Feng Qishi a glare, then tilted her head upwards, exclaiming, “Shen Fengzi, look up there!”
“Look at what?” Feng Qishi asked. As he slowly raised his head to look at the sky, he exclaimed in surprise, just like Mu Anxiao, “As expected, it’s a trap!” With that, he quickly turned around to see that the woman had reappeared.
“What exactly are you?” Feng Qishi asked.
The woman looked up and chuckled.
Then, Mu Anxiao slowly turned around, looking at the woman with her eerie smile, and swallowed. “I knew this woman was suspicious.”
Feng Qishi glanced at Mu Anxiao. “If you thought she was suspicious, why didn’t you say so earlier?”
Mu Anxiao deliberately grabbed Feng Qishi’s arm. “I felt suspicious at first, but then I didn’t anymore.”
The woman’s bizarre behavior in such a short time had left Mu Anxiao bewildered.
“Don’t you have the ability to see through the weaknesses of demon souls? Take a look at her,” Feng Qishi said.
The woman before them looked ordinary, but the smile on her face was truly unsettling, especially her perfectly aligned white teeth. Combined with her plain features, it made her look even more terrifying.
Furthermore, Mu Anxiao hadn’t used that ability in a long time, so being suddenly asked to use it was quite difficult for her.
“Just go for it, that’s all,” she said, her voice trembling.
“You…”
“What about me? Go on.”
Subsequently, Feng Qishi glanced back at the woman, his brow furrowed. “I feel like she’s human.”
“Human?” Mu Anxiao repeated. She peered closely at the woman and saw a ball of green light flickering within her body. Swallowing, she said, “You can’t attack.”
“Why couldn’t I see anything wrong with her earlier? Half the time, she was just a normal person,” Feng Qishi said. “It’s just that she’s possessed now.”
Mu Anxiao pouted. “Proves I’m better than you. I already sensed she was in for trouble.”
“You’re so clever,” Feng Qishi said, looking down at Mu Anxiao’s hand still on his arm. “Since you’re so clever, can you let go?”
“No,” Mu Anxiao shook her head.
Feng Qishi let out a cold laugh and turned back to the woman opposite them, who only smiled without speaking. He asked, “Where did you take the people on this street?”
“You want to know?” the woman asked, her voice heavy.
Mu Anxiao found the woman’s husky, gender-bending voice unsettling. “Can you speak properly?”
Upon hearing this, Feng Qishi’s brow furrowed. He turned to Mu Anxiao. “Can you stop talking?”
When Mu Anxiao heard this, she pursed her lips.
Feng Qishi shot Mu Anxiao a glare, then turned back to the woman.
