"You are the monster here to kill me," Mu Anxiao repeated, feigning a startled expression. "Wow, why do you want to kill me?" she asked melodramatically.
Hearing Mu Anxiao's perfunctory tone, the mysterious man said, "Can you please not be so calm?"
"Then how do you want me to be, terrified?" Mu Anxiao retorted coldly.
The mysterious man smiled. "At least you should show some fear of me. The way you are..." he said, "it really makes me lose face."
"I don't even know who you are, why should I give you face?" Mu Anxiao shot back.
The mysterious man blinked, surprised. "Well, there's some logic to what you're saying, but," he glanced around, continuing, "aren't you curious about who I am?"
Mu Anxiao gave a helpless smile. "No, I asked who you are, and you're not answering properly."
"I've already lifted the cloth, and you still can't tell?" the mysterious man asked, perplexed.
"As far as I can see, you've only revealed your mouth and eyes. I need to distinguish based on facial features, and you're only showing me two parts. Isn't that making things difficult for me?" Mu Anxiao said, lifting the teapot.
The mysterious man glanced at the teapot Mu Anxiao was holding and smiled. "No need to be so polite, I'm not thirsty."
"Who's pouring for you?" Mu Anxiao said, refilling her own cup.
"Alright," the mysterious man nodded slightly, then turned to Tian Jiang, who was approaching with a tray. "She's a demon."
"You know you don't have to say that out loud," Mu Anxiao glared at the mysterious man.
Hearing this, the mysterious man turned back to Mu Anxiao and asked, "Why?"
"That's very rude," Mu Anxiao said, then turned to Tian Jiang with a smile, "Want to eat together?"
"No," Tian Jiang replied, putting down the tray. As she served the food, she said, "You found your master so quickly."
"Master?" the mysterious man repeated, looking at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao didn't look at the mysterious man, continuing to stare at Tian Jiang. "No, he's just a stranger, I don't know him."
"You're quite the social butterfly," Tian Jiang said, collecting the tray. "Eat well."
"Okay," Mu Anxiao nodded.
Tian Jiang glanced at the mysterious man and turned away.
Mu Anxiao sighed.
The mysterious man retracted his gaze and leaned forward, watching Mu Anxiao. He whispered, "Three lives, why didn't you arrest her?"
Mu Anxiao was genuinely startled by this. She pursed her lips and asked, "You can tell that?"
"Mhm," the mysterious man nodded.
Following this, Mu Anxiao's expression became tense. "Are you Hei Feng?"
"You still haven't recognized me," the mysterious man said helplessly.
"Who exactly are you?" Mu Anxiao was finally intrigued by the mysterious man.
"I am your enemy," the mysterious man stated simply.
"Who?" Mu Anxiao still couldn't guess.
The mysterious man sighed, scratching his head. "You old immortal, you forgot me so quickly. And to think you chased me all the way to..." he lowered his voice, "...this mortal realm."
"Mortal..." Mu Anxiao widened her eyes the second she repeated the word. "Werewolf?"
"You finally guessed it," the mysterious man said, removing the cloth from his face.
Mu Anxiao exclaimed, "You really came to kill me."
"Are you only scared now?" The werewolf leaned forward and snatched the chopsticks from Mu Anxiao's hand. "What were you doing earlier?"
"No. Wait until I've eaten my fill, then you can make your move, okay?" Mu Anxiao maintained her chopsticks-holding gesture, requesting.
The werewolf picked up a piece of meat and put it in his mouth. As he chewed, he said, "Raw meat is still tastier."
"I'm talking to you," Mu Anxiao said.
The werewolf replied while eating, "I'm listening, go on."
"Can you not attack first?" Mu Anxiao's attitude completely changed, her voice very small.
The werewolf chuckled. "Weren't you quite calm just now? Why have you suddenly become a coward?" He pushed aside the vegetables on the plate, searching for meat as he continued, "Now?"
"I am a coward," Mu Anxiao said, grinning foolishly.
"I thought you were quite arrogant and confident earlier. Now you're suddenly admitting defeat," the werewolf said, popping some minced meat into his mouth. "It truly makes me tremble."
"Don't say that, I'm truly filled with fear right now," Mu Anxiao realized her life was in danger.
"Mu Anxiao, to be honest," the werewolf said, putting down his chopsticks, "I'm speechless with everyone except you. Do you know why?" He raised his chin.
"No," Mu Anxiao shook her head.
"Because, your face changes too quickly. Honestly, dealing with you, I always doubt myself," the werewolf gasped. "Whether I'm talking to one person."
"That's right, it's all me," Mu Anxiao said, patting her chest with a playful grin.
"Fake," the werewolf pointed at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao rubbed the back of her head and muttered, "In this world, I can't survive if I'm not fake."
"What did you say?" the werewolf asked, pretending not to have heard clearly.
Mu Anxiao shook her head. "I didn't say anything. I said, we haven't seen each other since I returned. Now that we're together," she smiled, "it feels like a dream."
"To be honest, the moment I walked in here and saw you, I also felt it was especially... magical, just like a dream," the werewolf said, then handed his used chopsticks to Mu Anxiao.
"What are you doing?" Mu Anxiao asked, staring at the chopsticks.
"The food isn't tasty. You eat it yourself," the werewolf said, waving the chopsticks in front of Mu Anxiao.
In that moment, a wave of disgust washed over Mu Anxiao, but seeing the werewolf's demeanor, she feigned an embarrassed expression. "No, thank you, I've eaten enough."
"You dislike that these are chopsticks I've used, don't you?" the werewolf maintained a smiling face.
Mu Anxiao's mouth twitched stiffly upward, remaining silent.
"Is that it?" the werewolf asked again.
Mu Anxiao nodded. "Yes... that's the reason."
"See, you dislike me," the werewolf said, putting down the chopsticks.
Mu Anxiao asked, "If I had used chopsticks, would you be willing to use them?"
"Of course..." the werewolf said excitedly, but then paused.
Mu Anxiao looked at the werewolf's deliberately wide eyes and his fingers tapping on the table. "Why aren't you talking?"
"No," the werewolf deflated.
Mu Anxiao shrugged. "Then that's right, we dislike each other."
"I dislike you more," the werewolf emphasized.
Mu Anxiao smiled. "As long as you don't kill me, you can dislike me as much as you want."
"Then what if I kill you?" the werewolf asked.
Mu Anxiao rolled her eyes slightly and said, "If you're going to kill me, I wouldn't dare to dislike you any more than you dislike me."
