A few minutes later, Mu Anxiao opened the door.
"You're done?" the red-clothed rabbit spirit stepped forward and asked Mu Anxiao, tilting her head up.
Mu Anxiao walked out of the room with Yan, then descended the steps to stand before the red-clothed rabbit spirit and said, "Yes, we're done."
"What are you going to do now?" the red-clothed rabbit spirit asked curiously.
Mu Anxiao glanced sideways at Yan and said, "We're going to wander around the courtyard."
"I'll go with you," the red-clothed rabbit spirit said, wanting to join them.
Mu Anxiao shook her head slightly. "No need, Yan and I will wander by ourselves."
"Aren't you enemies?" the red-clothed rabbit spirit pointed at the two of them.
"Can't enemies wander?" Mu Anxiao replied.
Hearing the cold tone of Mu Anxiao's response, the red-clothed rabbit spirit shook her head.
Yan said, "Let's go."
Mu Anxiao nodded, and she and Yan walked past the red-clothed rabbit spirit.
The red-clothed rabbit spirit watched their retreating backs from the side and sighed.
At the same time, Feng Qishi drifted to the side of the red-clothed rabbit spirit and asked, "What are you looking at?"
Startled by the question, the red-clothed rabbit spirit looked back at Feng Qishi and replied, "Nothing."
"Come with me," Feng Qishi said.
"What do you want to do?" the red-clothed rabbit spirit asked, confused.
"You'll know when you come with me," Feng Qishi said mysteriously.
Feng Qishi glanced at Feng Qishi's cold profile and thought, *He's really fierce. If Mu Shazi were really with him, she'd be in for a lot of suffering.* He pursed his lips as he thought.
Feng Qishi didn't notice Feng Qishi's expression change and continued to look at the red-clothed rabbit spirit. "Take me to your living quarters."
"Huh?" the red-clothed rabbit spirit was surprised but didn't dare to ask further.
"Let's go," Feng Qishi said impatiently, not wanting to waste words with the red-clothed rabbit spirit.
The red-clothed rabbit spirit nodded, turned, and led the way.
Meanwhile, in the backyard, after the rat spirits had subdued the dog-headed demon and the lesser demons, Xu Lanyan buried the unconscious dog-headed demon and the lesser demons under haystacks one by one.
"Is that good?" the female rat spirit asked Xu Lanyan, who had stopped casting spells.
Xu Lanyan turned and said, "Yes, we can go now."
"Okay," the female rat spirit replied, turning and walking to the door, opening the back door.
Then, they left one by one.
A few minutes later...
Xu Lanyan and the black-clothed demon walked ahead, leading the way, with the rat spirits following behind them.
"Can you sense where it is?" Xu Lanyan asked as they walked.
The female rat spirit said, "Aren't you leading the way?"
Hearing this, Xu Lanyan stopped and turned to look at the female rat spirit. "I'm only relying on my memory to search. You should also try to sense it."
"Alright," the female rat spirit agreed reluctantly.
Then, the rat spirits began to sense their surroundings.
Time passed, and Xu Lanyan sat on the ground, looking at the silent rat spirits. "Are we there yet?"
"It's just ahead," the female rat spirit said, opening her eyes and pointing in the direction Xu Lanyan had been vaguely heading.
"It's that way," Xu Lanyan said, standing up.
The female rat spirit nodded firmly.
Then, they continued forward.
The female rat spirit walked up to Xu Lanyan and asked, "Why didn't you just kill the dog-headed demon?"
"If you kill that guy, your hands will be stained with blood," Xu Lanyan explained.
"He committed many evils. Even if we kill him, we'll be eliminating a scourge for the people," the second female rat spirit said simply.
Xu Lanyan said as she walked, "You don't need to worry about eliminating scourges for the people. There are professionals who do that."
"Aren't you a professional?" the third male rat spirit asked.
Xu Lanyan said, "No."
The black-clothed demon said, "If he wakes up, things will get troublesome."
"If he wakes up, it means we've succeeded, and the people who should punish him will arrive," Xu Lanyan explained.
Upon hearing Xu Lanyan's words, the rat spirits breathed a sigh of relief one by one.
"Alright, let's keep going," Xu Lanyan said, quickening her pace.
They also quickened their pace.
The sky had begun to darken. Feng Qishi and Feng Qishi followed the red-clothed rabbit spirit into the first room.
As soon as Feng Qishi entered, the two rabbit spirits living there panicked.
"We've always been loyal. What do you want?" one of the rabbit spirits asked Feng Qishi, trembling all over.
Feng Qishi pointed at the red-clothed rabbit spirit and said calmly, "I'm not here to kill you. Wait for me outside her room later." With that, he turned and left.
Feng Qishi knew Feng Qishi was being so boring, so he turned and followed him out. The red-clothed rabbit spirit stood still, looking at the two fearful rabbit spirits before her, swallowed, and turned to leave.
Thus, Feng Qishi followed Feng Qishi to inform all the rabbit spirits living there, including those who hadn't returned. Feng Qishi also instructed them to pass on the message. During this time, the red-clothed rabbit spirit did almost nothing but knock on doors.
Unexpectedly, while the plan here proceeded smoothly, Mu Anxiao and Yan were not so fortunate.
"Why won't you let me in?" Mu Anxiao glared at the first maidservant rabbit.
"The Queen is resting. What right do you have to enter?" the first maidservant rabbit said impolitely.
Mu Anxiao was furious. "I have something to say to the Rabbit Queen."
"No," the first maidservant rabbit said firmly.
Mu Anxiao was speechless.
Yan tugged on Mu Anxiao's arm and said, "Let's go."
Mu Anxiao glanced sideways at Yan, nodded, and said, "Fine, since they don't seem to want to see us anyway." She said this deliberately loudly, then turned and walked down the steps.
The first maidservant rabbit looked at Mu Anxiao's retreating figure with ill intent and sneered.
Mu Anxiao sighed.
Yan whispered, "It's already dark. We've stalled for time. Are we still going?"
"Wait, we're continuing. Feng Qishi still needs to talk to them," Mu Anxiao said, stopping.
Yan also stopped and asked, "What are you doing?"
"Wait for me here. Don't leave," Mu Anxiao instructed.
"I'll go with you," Yan said, grabbing Mu Anxiao's arm.
Mu Anxiao shook her head. "No, you wait for me here. Promise you won't leave."
Yan hesitated for a moment, then removed her hand and said, "Alright. Be careful."
"Mm," Mu Anxiao nodded, turned, and headed back the way she came.
The first maidservant rabbit was stunned the moment she saw Mu Anxiao returning.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
Disregarding everything, Mu Anxiao walked up the steps, pushed the first maidservant rabbit aside, and began knocking on the door without a word.
Seeing this, the first maidservant rabbit quickly grabbed her arm. "Can you please not do this?"
"No," Mu Anxiao said, shaking off the first maidservant rabbit's grasp and continuing to knock.
The first maidservant rabbit looked at Mu Anxiao with a troubled expression and said, "You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?"
Hearing this, Mu Anxiao stopped what she was doing, turned, and smiled at the first maidservant rabbit. "Yes, I am."
