Chapter 755 The Muddled Memory

The Rabbit Queen stated without hesitation, "The front door is too large; this one is just right. Now, move aside." With that, she reached out and pushed the Bearded Man.

The Bearded Man shifted his feet to the side, smiling as he said, "As expected of a demon catcher, you have great strength." He lowered his head to look at his shoulder.

"No need for flattery," the Rabbit Queen replied, stepping around him and heading inside.

Hearing this, the Bearded Man quickly closed the door and followed the Rabbit Queen's steps, saying, "Something happened today."

"Speak," the Rabbit Queen uttered a single word as she walked.

The Bearded Man glanced left and right, then said, "The Master was struck by divine retribution."

"Oh," the Rabbit Queen responded indifferently.

Taken aback by this response, the Bearded Man stammered, "You're not surprised at all."

"Why should I be surprised? Your Master was never a good person; it was only a matter of time before he faced divine retribution," the Rabbit Queen said nonchalantly.

"Indeed, your words are not without merit." The Bearded Man was instantly led away by the Rabbit Queen.

Then, the Rabbit Queen suddenly stopped.

The Bearded Man halted his steps, following suit, and looked ahead, quickly exclaiming, "Greetings, Master."

The Rabbit Queen cast a indifferent glance at the Bearded Man, then turned back to the man in his thirties who had stopped before her, asking, "Is there something?"

"I didn't expect you to come today," the man in his thirties said.

"I didn't come to see you. Move aside," the Rabbit Queen said, very coldly.

"You used to be so foolish. Today, you look truly terrifying," the man in his thirties said with a smile in his eyes.

The Rabbit Queen looked at the man in his thirties and his attitude with genuine confusion, asking, "You're not the Master of this mansion, are you?"

"What do you mean by that?" the man in his thirties asked softly.

The Rabbit Queen was truly startled by the man's gentle tone and took a step back, saying, "Just tell me, are you the Master of this residence? Say nothing else."

"Of course, I am," the man in his thirties smiled inexplicably at the Rabbit Queen.

The Rabbit Queen couldn't help but shiver and turned to ask the Bearded Man, "Is he your Master?"

"Yes," the Bearded Man nodded.

The man in his thirties shifted his gaze to the Bearded Man's face and said, "Explain it to her. It seems she's lost her memory from catching demons."

Upon hearing this, the Bearded Man responded with "Yes" and said, "Our Master has always been infatuated with you. He originally wanted to marry you, but he became smitten with your sister along the way, which is why the Master has always treated you this way."

This news was something the Rabbit Queen had never heard before, and upon hearing it now, she was genuinely shocked.

"Did I ever agree to that?" she asked.

The Bearded Man cleared his throat and shook his head slightly.

Seeing this, the Rabbit Queen breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Since I never agreed, it means we are not familiar with each other."

"What's wrong with you?" the man in his thirties asked, looking at the bewildered Rabbit Queen with confusion.

The Rabbit Queen knitted her brows and deliberately changed the subject, "I heard you were struck by lightning. Is that true?"

The Bearded Man lowered his head.

Immediately, the man in his thirties glared at the Bearded Man and said, "A female demon has come to the mansion. She's been playing pranks, so if you could, would you please capture her?"

"Where is she?" the Rabbit Queen asked, feigning ignorance.

"With Xiao Nian. You know that place, don't you?" the man in his thirties asked softly.

"I know. You mean for me to go by myself?" the Rabbit Queen stated plainly.

"Yes," the man in his thirties nodded slightly.

"Fine, you'd best not follow me." The Rabbit Queen agreed readily.

The man in his thirties smiled and nodded.

"Move aside," the Rabbit Queen uttered the two words forcefully.

However, the man in his thirties showed no intention of moving aside. Instead, he reached out and grabbed the Rabbit Queen's arm, saying, "Wait, I want to show you something."

The Rabbit Queen looked down at the hand the man in his thirties had placed on her arm and asked, "Hu Zi, did I let him hold me like this before?"

Upon hearing this, the Bearded Man glanced at the man in his thirties and swallowed, saying, "The lady never allowed the Master to touch her. If he tried, she would hit him."

The man in his thirties was taken aback.

In the next moment, the Rabbit Queen instantly flung away the man in his thirties' hand, then raised her hand and forcefully slapped him across the face, saying, "Please have some self-respect." After speaking, she walked past the man in his thirties.

The Bearded Man cautiously glanced at the maidservant behind the man in his thirties and quickly followed the Rabbit Queen.

The man in his thirties remained standing in place, stroking his cheek with one hand, and said, "She actually hit me."

The maidservant softly called out, "Master."

"What are you doing?" the man in his thirties asked impatiently.

The maidservant swallowed and said, "Your face... has a bloody imprint on it." She cautiously pointed to the man in his thirties' face.

Upon hearing this, the man in his thirties quickly removed his hand and looked, saying, "Tian Jiang, I will definitely make you my wife, all because of this slap." With that, he clenched his fist.

Outside the room, Xiao Nian's face lit up with joy as she saw Bi Hu return. "You're back!" she exclaimed and ran to Bi Hu.

Bi Hu looked down at Xiao Nian and said, "I'm sorry."

"What happened?" Xiao Nian asked.

"We weren't successful. We encountered a rabbit spirit, incredibly terrifying, so we fled in disarray. We also couldn't find your mother," Bi Hu said plainly.

Mu An Xiao, listening to Bi Hu's by-the-book summary and observing the look of disappointment on Xiao Nian's face, said, "You're lying, aren't you? You didn't even look for her."

Upon hearing this, Bi Hu frowned slightly, and fragmented memories, repeatedly interrupted by the Rabbit Queen, surfaced in his mind, but he couldn't express them.

"Why aren't you speaking?" Xiao Nian asked.

Bi Hu covered his head with one hand, saying, "I can't remember, but I have memories. It's incredibly chaotic, messy."

"Your memories have been scrambled," Mu An Xiao said.

Hearing this, Bi Hu removed his hand and said, "I don't know."

Seeing Bi Hu's condition, Xiao Nian's heart sank, and she asked, "Will my mother... never come back?"

"Xiao Nian, you stay here. I'll go..."

"That's the Rabbit Spirit's territory. It's impossible to find her," the Rabbit Queen interrupted Mu An Xiao.

Mu An Xiao glanced at the Rabbit Queen, who possessed Tian Jiang's body, narrowed her eyes, then looked at Bi Hu, who was still searching for his memories, and said, "Come with me."

The Rabbit Queen turned to the Bearded Man and said, "You can leave now."

"Alright," the Bearded Man agreed, turned, and walked away.

Then, the Rabbit Queen withdrew her gaze and walked up to Xiao Nian, saying, "Live your current life well. Don't look for your mother anymore. Be good." After saying this, she walked past Xiao Nian.

The moment the Rabbit Queen said this, Xiao Nian couldn't help but pout.
