Chapter 471 Reporting Home

"I won't now, but that doesn't mean I never will. Besides," Feng Qishi looked down at Mu Anxiao, "Isn't there someone here who knows magic? If she teaches me, then I'll know it all."

"You want her to teach you?" Zhang Yan pointed at Mu Anxiao.

Feng Qishi nodded. "Yes. Although she's a nominal invalid now, I know her magic, so I believe she can teach me."

"You..."

Zhang Yan had only spoken half a sentence when the man in the yin-yang messenger suit exclaimed, "Yes, this way, she can also play her part. At the very least, she won't feel so lost."

"You understand me best," Feng Qishi pointed at the man in the yin-yang messenger suit.

The man in the yin-yang messenger suit raised an eyebrow at Feng Qishi and said, "Then I'll leave this to you."

"Don't worry," Feng Qishi grinned.

"See you later, I'm going," the man in the yin-yang messenger suit said, turned, and disappeared.

Feng Qishi's lips curled.

Zhang Yan looked down at Mu Anxiao's frail state and thought of the arrogant female demon. He said, "You're just a soul of an immortal, how can you contend with that demon? It seems this matter must be left to me."

"Old brother, don't you trust your little brother?" Feng Qishi looked at Zhang Yan.

"It's not a lack of trust, I'm just worried about you," Zhang Yan said in a low voice.

"I've already met that female demon. Don't worry, I pretty much know her inside out. As for you, just stay here and wait to attend my funeral." Feng Qishi walked around the coffee table to stand before Zhang Yan.

Zhang Yan nodded. "Alright, but I'll have to follow you then."

"As you wish," Feng Qishi smiled.

Zhang Yan sighed, then turned to the short demon. "Do you want to go to the hospital?"

"Yes, are you going too?" the short demon asked.

"Mm," Zhang Yan nodded.

"I wonder how my master is doing now," the short demon said, his eyes cast down.

At the hospital, Hu Yuan sat on the hospital bed, looking haggard. He weakly watched the man bustling around him and said, "You don't have to bother with me."

"No," the man straightened up and looked at Hu Yuan. "You should just rest now."

"Even if you treat me this way, I won't acknowledge you," Hu Yuan said coldly.

The man looked at Hu Yuan without changing his expression and smiled faintly. "I knew you'd say that. I don't care."

"You..."

"By the way, that... was your classmate gone yesterday?" the man suddenly asked.

Hu Yuan frowned and asked, "Why are you suddenly asking about that?"

"Your mother heard about it. She said she met that boy and that he was a good person," the man's expression darkened. "I never thought such a healthy child would suddenly be gone. Your mother is finding it a bit hard to accept."

"Is my mother alright?" Hu Yuan asked.

The man shook his head. "She's fine, just feeling a bit down, but it doesn't affect her health."

"Mm," Hu Yuan nodded, then his eyes darkened as he said, "Actually, I want to see him one last time."

"No," the man refused outright.

"I knew you'd answer like this," Hu Yuan said coldly, looking at the man.

The man said, "Given your current physical condition, if you go to that place, it will only make things worse. As long as you keep him in your heart, it's enough. Also," he walked to the bedside, "I believe he can understand."

"Mm," Hu Yuan nodded.

The man reached out and gently patted Hu Yuan's shoulder. "Alright, tell me what you want to eat, and I'll go buy it for you."

"I'd like some congee," Hu Yuan said.

"I'll go buy it for you," the man said, then got up and left the ward.

Once Hu Yuan confirmed the man had left, he turned to look at the stout demon squatting in the corner and asked, "Did you find him?"

"I searched everywhere and couldn't find him," the stout demon said dejectedly. "Master, do you think something might have happened to the short one?"

"Have you ever seen the true appearance of that demon?" Hu Yuan asked.

"No," the stout demon shook his head and stood up.

Hu Yuan sighed softly and looked back at the man in the yin-yang messenger suit emerging from the wall. "Do you have any news about the short one?"

"He's with Mu Anxiao now. You..." The man in the yin-yang messenger suit noticed the stout demon and said, "You can all rest assured."

"Why is he with Mu Anxiao?" Hu Yuan asked.

The stout demon walked to the bedside, staring intently at the man in the yin-yang messenger suit.

The man in the yin-yang messenger suit shrugged. "I'm only responsible for telling you that the chihuahua is safe. I can't answer anything else." With that, he turned and disappeared.

The stout demon's brows furrowed.

Hu Yuan said, "Since he's with Mu Anxiao, that proves he's safe."

"Master, could he have been injured by that demon?" the stout demon asked, his mind racing.

Hu Yuan's eyes darkened. "Definitely not."

"Mm, I trust your judgment," the stout demon said with firm conviction.

Hu Yuan smiled slightly, breathing with difficulty.

Seeing Hu Yuan's pained expression, the stout demon said, "Master, I will definitely save you."

"It's useless," Hu Yuan shook his head. "Don't waste your efforts on me."

"Mas..."

Before the stout demon could utter another word, Hu Yuan fell asleep.

"Master, please rest well," he said softly, stepping back and sitting on the floor.

Over in the courtyard, Mu Anxiao woke up.

"You're awake," Feng Qishi said excitedly.

Mu Anxiao yawned, sat up, and looked around the room, seeing only the two of them. "Where are the short one and the others?"

"They've left," Feng Qishi said faintly.

"Where did they go?" Mu Anxiao asked.

Feng Qishi hesitated for a moment and said, "To the hospital."

"The hospital?" Mu Anxiao repeated, then abruptly stood up. "Did they go to the hospital to see Hu Yuan?"

"Mm," Feng Qishi nodded.

Mu Anxiao's expression turned anxious. "No, that female demon must be there."

"Don't worry, the short one is under my protection now. Besides, didn't you say Zhang Yan would protect him? What are you worried about? If you ask me," Feng Qishi walked past the coffee table and was about to reach out to support Mu Anxiao's shoulder, but then remembered Mu Anxiao's current status and withdrew his hand. "You should just rest."

"I know, I'm a cripple now," Mu Anxiao lowered his eyelids slightly. "I can't help you with anything."

"Who says you can't help?" Feng Qishi said sternly.

Mu Anxiao asked, "Tell me, what can I do?"

"Help me," Feng Qishi pointed at himself.

Mu Anxiao rubbed the base of his nose and sat back down on the sofa. "I'm not talking to you anymore, I've rested enough."

"No," Feng Qishi narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I can't help you," Mu Anxiao said, looking down.
