"Where are you going?" Mu Anxiao stopped at the bathroom door, half-turning to ask.
"I'll go first. The car won't fit everyone," Feng Qishi said.
Mu Anxiao hesitated, then said, "Alright, wait for me there."
"Okay," Feng Qishi nodded, turned, and disappeared.
Mu Anxiao walked into the bathroom.
Half an hour later, Feng Sen arrived.
"How many people?" he asked as he entered the courtyard.
"Where's your car?" Mu Anxiao countered, stepping out of the room.
"Cars aren't allowed inside the park, so I parked it in the lot outside," Feng Sen explained proactively.
Mu Anxiao didn't dwell on the matter. "Did you come on your own?"
"Yes, but my mom asked me to come," Feng Sen explained.
"Did your mom ask about the injuries on your face?" Mu Anxiao pointed to Feng Sen's face and asked.
"She did, but my dad explained it. My mom scolded me severely. I've thought about it, and I was wrong yesterday," Feng Sen confessed.
"It's good that you know you were wrong. Let's go," Mu Anxiao gestured towards the courtyard.
"How many people?" Feng Sen asked again.
Mu Anxiao brushed past him. "Enough."
"Enough..." Feng Sen had barely repeated the word when Zhang Yan and the other two appeared in his sight. "Four people." He smiled.
"What are you smiling about?" Liu Xian said impolitely.
Feng Sen immediately suppressed the smile on his face.
Ten minutes later, Mu Anxiao, Liu Xian, and Fan Yan were seated in the back, with Zhang Yan in the passenger seat. Seeing Feng Sen's reluctant expression, Zhang Yan asked, "What's with that look?"
"Could you switch with Mu Anxiao?" Feng Sen asked.
Zhang Yan faked a smile. "What, you don't want to sit with this old fogey?"
"No," Feng Sen hastily shook his head and started the car.
A moment later, Liu Xian noticed the injuries on Mu Anxiao's face and asked, "Who did you get into a fight with?"
"He has injuries on his face too," Fan Yan pointed ahead and said.
Feng Sen glanced sideways. "Yesterday, she helped me, and I wanted to thank her."
"Is that so?" Zhang Yan asked.
"He couldn't cry, so he asked me to hit him to stimulate his emotions," Mu Anxiao stated the truth.
The car then fell silent.
Mu Anxiao cleared her throat. "I haven't eaten."
Hearing this, Zhang Yan turned to Feng Sen. "Can you pull over? I want to buy some food for my granddaughter."
"No need, I'll go," Feng Sen said and pulled the car over to the side of the road.
"No..."
"I'll go, Grandpa," Feng Sen said, opened the car door, and got out.
Zhang Yan looked helplessly at Feng Sen's hurried figure, then turned to Mu Anxiao and asked, "What's going on?"
"What is it?" Mu Anxiao asked, confused.
"Why do I feel like this kid is acting strangely towards you?" Zhang Yan asked Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao glanced at Fan Yan and Liu Xian, who were staring at her. "He said he likes me, and then he started being unusually attentive. I don't know what he's thinking."
"He likes you?" Zhang Yan was surprised.
Liu Xian said, "Boss, I could tell. Otherwise, he wouldn't be so eager."
Fan Yan remained silent.
Mu Anxiao didn't say anything.
Seeing Mu Anxiao's silent expression, Liu Xian asked, "Do you like him?"
"Can you please not ask me that question?" Mu Anxiao's tone was stiff.
"You don't happen to like him, do you?" Fan Yan finally spoke.
Mu Anxiao rolled her eyes. "I'm not familiar with that person. Asking me like this makes me think you're really bored!"
Fan Yan and the others were rendered speechless by her words.
Mu Anxiao sighed. "I'm starving."
"I'm hungry too," Liu Xian said, patting his stomach.
Zhang Yan looked forward again. "Why isn't that guy back yet?"
Ten minutes later...
Mu Anxiao leaned her head back against the seat. "I'm starving."
"I should have gone myself," Zhang Yan felt a growing sense of urgency.
Then, Mu Anxiao's phone rang. "So annoying," she said, taking her phone out of her pocket. Without even looking, she answered, "Hello, who is it?"
On the other end, Feng Sen stood in front of the shop, looking embarrassed at the owner who had already packed his breakfast. He said cautiously, "Uh, could you send my wallet over?"
"Oh," Mu Anxiao replied and hung up.
Over there, Feng Sen lowered his phone, looking at the owner awkwardly. "I'm sorry, my sister will bring the money over right away."
"You can pay with your phone," the female owner pointed to Feng Sen's phone.
Feng Sen smiled. "It's not linked."
"Alright," the female owner nodded and went to take another customer's payment.
In the car, Zhang Yan took out some change and handed it to Fan Yan. "I'll treat this meal. You go."
"Boss, I'll pay with my phone," Fan Yan said, opened the car door, and ran in the direction Feng Sen had gone.
Liu Xian couldn't help but chuckle. "Feng Sen is going to be disappointed, isn't he?"
Mu Anxiao said nothing.
A few minutes later, Fan Yan returned to the car with bags of breakfast.
Feng Sen opened the car door with a dark expression. "Why didn't you go?" he said. As he got in, he slammed the car door shut with a loud bang.
"She was squeezed in the middle, making it difficult to move," Zhang Yan explained.
Feng Sen glanced at Zhang Yan. "That's a good reason," he said, fastened his seatbelt, and started the car.
Mu Anxiao took a bun from Fan Yan and asked, "Did you eat?"
"Yes," Feng Sen replied listlessly.
Hearing Feng Sen's attitude, Mu Anxiao was speechless and began eating her bun.
Liu Xian, seeing Fan Yan acting as if nothing had happened, took out his phone and sent him a message: What's going on?
Subsequently, Fan Yan's phone vibrated twice. He took out his phone, hesitated, then replied: He told the breakfast lady that his sister was coming. Turns out it was me, so he got upset.
Reading the text, Liu Xian pursed his lips and sent: Did he do anything to you?
Fan Yan looked up and sent: No, he's just ignoring me. He doesn't respond when I speak. It looks like we'll have to call a cab when we get back.
After reading the text, Liu Xian looked at Feng Sen in front of him and sent: It's fine, just ignore him.
I'm not angry. Fan Yan sent.
I'm sticking up for you, just say "okay." Why so much nonsense? Liu Xian said displeased.
Seeing the text, Fan Yan let out a sigh and sent a single word: Okay.
Then, Liu Xian stopped texting and put his phone down.
Mu Anxiao felt nothing and quietly continued eating her bun.
Then, Feng Sen suddenly opened the window. The wind immediately blew into the car, scattering Mu Anxiao's hair.
"The smell is too strong," Feng Sen said.
Mu Anxiao casually tucked her hair back. "These are the chive buns you bought. And now you're complaining."
