"No way!" the man in green said, feigning uncertainty and certainty at the same time.
Feng Qishi glanced at the man in green and the young man, then stepped in front of Mu Anxiao, tilted his head, and whispered, "Say you're a monster."
"Why?" Mu Anxiao asked, tilting her head up and whispering.
"If you say so, a monster will come to save you, and then you can sneak into the Cultivation Sect to see your beloved. No, wait," Feng Qishi cleared his throat and corrected himself, "you can ensure your beloved isn't brainwashed by those rabbit spirits."
"You did that on purpose?" Mu Anxiao realized.
"How else would the monster be lured out?" Feng Qishi whispered.
"What are you whispering to her about?" the young man asked impatiently.
Feng Qishi slanted his eyes, turned around, and said with a playful smile, "Nothing. I'm just checking if she's a monster."
"So, is she?" the man in green asked excitedly.
Feng Qishi glanced at Mu Anxiao, then looked back and replied, "As it turns out, she is a monster."
"You saw through me," Mu Anxiao stepped forward and suddenly grabbed Feng Qishi's arm.
Feng Qishi's body stiffened, and he turned to look at Mu Anxiao, whispering, "You're really adding to the drama."
"Stop the nonsense," Mu Anxiao looked up at Feng Qishi angrily and said, "You'd better take me out of here, or I'll kill you."
"She really is a monster," the old man outside the door said, looking at Mu Anxiao in disbelief.
The young man glanced at the old man and everyone present, saying nervously, "Everyone, quickly disperse! The monster is about to use her powers."
Upon hearing that Mu Anxiao was a monster, everyone outside dared not linger and scattered.
Just as the young man was about to bolt out of the room, Mu Anxiao released Feng Qishi's arm, dashed forward a few steps, grabbed the young man's arm, and said, "You're the one who exposed me, so you'll accompany me to the grave."
Feng Qishi crossed his arms and calmly watched Mu Anxiao, smiling down at her.
The man in green chuckled, walked to face Feng Qishi, and whispered, "You thought the same thing, didn't you?"
Feng Qishi raised an eyebrow.
The man in green nodded with a smile, then pretended to be terrified and turned away, saying, "Her demonic power is extremely strong. We are no match for her."
Hearing the man in green's words, the young man quickly turned his head and said, "Save me! Save me!"
"You're the one who exposed her identity, not me," the man in green shrugged.
"You're going to die," Mu Anxiao said, raising her hand.
The young man closed his eyes.
Mu Anxiao gave Feng Qishi a look, and Feng Qishi quietly cast a spell on the young man's arm. The young man felt his arm go numb.
"How does it feel?" Mu Anxiao asked coldly.
"Monster, what did you do to me?" the young man asked, puckering his lips.
"What did I do to you? Why are you doing this to me? What did I do to provoke you?"
"I went to the backyard earlier and saw the man who boiled water for you today dead. You were the only one who had contact with him. If you didn't kill him, who else could have?" the young man said, looking down at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao's eyes widened as she looked at the young man who said this, asking, "He's dead, why did you think of me first?"
"I followed the scent here. Your scent is the same as his," the young man said firmly. "Also, you had contact with him."
"When did that happen?" Mu Anxiao felt a sense of foreboding.
The young man shifted his gaze, his voice lacking confidence, "I... I came to find you as soon as I saw it."
"Not good," Mu Anxiao's eyes darkened, and she immediately pushed the young man away and rushed out of the room.
The young man breathed a sigh of relief.
Seeing that something was wrong, Feng Qishi quickly ran forward, bypassed the young man, and rushed out.
The man in green calmly walked up to the young man and said, "That's strange. How can you see everything?"
"I don't know," the young man averted his gaze.
The man in green narrowed his eyes, grabbed the young man by one shoulder, and asked, "Why did you go to the backyard?"
"I wanted to see if the waiter had died in the backyard. I was just curious. Who knew," the young man's body trembled, "seeing that scene was too terrifying."
"Such a coward. You're a junior from the Cultivation Sect, aren't you?" the man in green said, then removed his hand from the young man's shoulder.
"I haven't learned much. I only came here to fulfill my grandmother's wish," the young man said with a trembling voice.
The man in green chuckled, patted his shoulder, and then walked around him out of the room.
The young man furtively glanced around, then turned and quickly followed the man in green.
Downstairs, Mu Anxiao and Feng Qishi met the landlady coming out of a room on the first floor. Mu Anxiao looked at the landlady's unhealthy complexion and asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," the landlady deliberately avoided her gaze and said.
Mu Anxiao frowned, glanced towards the small door leading to the backyard, and said, "I need to check your backyard."
"What are you going there for?" the landlady asked, seemingly unaware.
"Someone is dead," Mu Anxiao stated directly.
Feng Qishi frowned helplessly at Mu Anxiao's blunt words.
"How is that possible? Don't say such unlucky things," the landlady's expression suddenly changed, and she said.
"The man who helped you with the counter is dead," Mu Anxiao said seriously.
"Impossible."
"In the backyard."
"How do you know?" the landlady asked Mu Anxiao with surprise.
Mu Anxiao remained silent.
The young man walked down from upstairs and pointed at Mu Anxiao excitedly, saying, "She killed him."
"It was me," Mu Anxiao pretended to admit.
The landlady's eyes widened.
Then, the man walked out of the small door leading to the backyard and asked, "What are you talking about?"
The young man jumped in fright and looked at the man, asking, "You're not dead?"
"How could I be dead?" the man asked, walking up to the young man.
The young man's eyes darted away, and he said, "Impossible. When I went to the backyard earlier, you were lying there. How could you not be dead?"
Hearing the young man's words, Mu Anxiao glanced at Feng Qishi.
Feng Qishi said telepathically, "They indeed have issues."
"Mmm," Mu Anxiao agreed.
The man in green calmly looked at the young man's embarrassed expression and said, "First you say she's a monster, then you say you're a junior from the Cultivation Sect, and now you say he's dead. I think you're the one who's most suspicious."
The young man shook his head frantically, "It's not me, it's not me."
"It's still you. Since this morning, you've been constantly seeking attention. Is that interesting?" Feng Qishi asked coldly.
