"Alright, it wouldn't be interesting if you went," Zhang Yan said indifferently.
"I'll just stay here," Feng Qi Shi replied.
Zhang Yan thought for a moment and said, "You can watch TV, so you won't be bored."
"You really won't scare anyone," Mu An Xiao said.
Zhang Yan chuckled, "What's there to it? My room, my rules. I want to turn on the lights, turn on the TV, that's my freedom. If it scares someone, it just proves that person isn't good."
"That makes sense, old brother," Feng Qi Shi gave him a thumbs-up.
Mu An Xiao was speechless.
"By the way," Zhang Yan looked to his sides and asked, "Have you seen the Yin messengers and that child?"
"We have," Feng Qi Shi nodded.
"Why are you asking this?" Mu An Xiao inquired.
"Oh, they came looking for you. I thought the child's sharp nose was a lie, but it turns out it's real," Zhang Yan said, smiling.
"What do you want to do?" Mu An Xiao sensed something and asked.
Zhang Yan grinned foolishly, "My things always go missing. I've decided that from now on, whenever something goes missing, I'll find him. That way, I won't have to bother myself."
"You're amazing," Feng Qi Shi remarked.
"Of course," Zhang Yan said, then glanced at Mu An Xiao and asked, "You're not going to tell me that the gift you gave me is the care from Ma Yan and Ma Yan, are you?"
"You know already," Mu An Xiao said calmly.
"They've arrived. They said because of school, they couldn't attend Feng Qi Shi's funeral. She asked me to tell you to understand," Zhang Yan relayed.
Mu An Xiao glanced at Feng Qi Shi and said, "Understood."
"This gift of yours is quite valuable," Zhang Yan's demeanor suddenly shifted from boisterous to solemn.
"If you don't like it," Mu An Xiao hesitated, "there's nothing I can do."
"I really like this gift. Actually, my greatest wish in life was to have a granddaughter your age. Now you're leaving, and two more have arrived. I'm truly happy," Zhang Yan said.
"I'm not your granddaughter," Mu An Xiao stated directly.
Zhang Yan smiled, "Whether you admit it or not, in my heart, you are my eldest granddaughter. They are my second and third granddaughters. In this life, I can consider myself fulfilled."
"Will you ever go back?" Mu An Xiao, considering Zhang Yan's age, inquired.
"It depends. I don't know if I can overcome my psychological barriers. If I do," Zhang Yan sighed and smiled, "we'll meet again if fate allows."
"Alright, if you go back, you must..." Mu An Xiao trailed off, then closed her mouth, recalling her own situation.
"Everything will get better," Zhang Yan said.
"Mm, let's hope so," Mu An Xiao said softly.
Feng Qi Shi chimed in excitedly, "Not 'let's hope so,' but 'it definitely will.'"
Mu An Xiao lowered her head.
Zhang Yan looked at Mu An Xiao and said, "Everything will definitely get better."
Mu An Xiao gave a subtle smile.
After a while, Liu Xian and Fan Yan knocked on the door. Feng Qi Shi, sitting on the sofa, said, "You can go now." As he spoke, he used his abilities to control the remote.
"Okay," Zhang Yan responded, turned, walked to the door, opened it, and said, "Let's go."
Liu Xian pointed inside, "Boss, aren't you turning off the lights?"
"No," Zhang Yan said imperiously.
"Aren't you wasting electricity?" Liu Xian added.
Zhang Yan's eyes narrowed. "Did I ever ask you to pay for the electricity?"
"No," Liu Xian replied quietly.
"Then keep your mouth shut," Zhang Yan said. He sidled over and called into the room, "Mu An Xiao, are you ready yet?"
"Ready," Mu An Xiao replied. She stood up from the sofa and said softly, "Don't scare anyone."
"Understood," Feng Qi Shi said. Mu An Xiao walked directly through his legs towards the door.
In a flash, they arrived in front of a barbecue restaurant closest to the park. Seeing that the place was empty of customers, Mu An Xiao asked, "Is this place good?"
"They say it's cheap," Fan Yan added.
"You get what you pay for. This place doesn't look tasty at all," Mu An Xiao commented.
Liu Xian glanced at Mu An Xiao and Fan Yan and said, "Alright, let's go in. This quiet environment is more comfortable." He then nudged the two of them forward.
Mu An Xiao wore an expression of reluctance.
Fan Yan felt like spending money here was a waste, so like Mu An Xiao, his face clearly showed his resistance.
Zhang Yan stood behind them. He looked at the lively barbecue restaurants nearby and politely asked, "Why is there no one here?"
"If you want to eat, eat. If not, leave. No one welcomes you here," a thin, withered woman sitting on a chair shouted impolitely.
Upon hearing this, Zhang Yan's temper flared. He turned and glared at the three people who had entered the room and yelled, "Everyone come out. We're not eating here. What kind of attitude is that?"
Inside, Mu An Xiao, Fan Yan, and Liu Xian, who were about to be seated, turned and walked back out.
Zhang Yan turned back to the woman sitting there and said, "Who do you think you are to open a shop? I wish you early bankruptcy."
"How can you talk like that?" The woman suddenly stood up and pointed at Zhang Yan.
Zhang Yan was unfazed by the woman's threat. "If you're going through menopause, get it treated promptly, lest you affect others' moods."
"You..."
"What about you?" Zhang Yan glared at the woman and said, "Let's go."
"Okay," Mu An Xiao nodded.
Fan Yan followed and said to Mu An Xiao, "I've heard before that the female owner here is not a pleasant person. I didn't expect her to be at this restaurant."
Mu An Xiao sighed.
However, Liu Xian's reaction was completely different from theirs.
"I'm sorry," he said, walking up to the woman.
"Who are you?" the woman asked unamicably.
Liu Xian smiled, "I'm the person your daughter is supposed to meet for a blind date tomorrow. If it's possible..."
"So that's why you dared to come. You had an ulterior motive!" the woman exclaimed, her eyes narrowing. "You don't need to go on a blind date with my daughter tomorrow. I'm telling you, don't let me see you. If I see you, I'll curse you. Your parents must not be good people either."
Liu Xian, who had held a sliver of hope for the blind date, became enraged upon hearing the woman's words. "As the saying goes, a child's character reflects their parents. It seems your daughter is just as shrewish and disrespectful as you are," he sneered. "Finally, I wish you early bankruptcy." With that, he glared at the woman and walked away.
The woman clenched her fists and yelled, "Don't let me see you, you brat."
Liu Xian turned his head slightly, said nothing, pulled out his phone, saved the recording, and mumbled, "Mom and Dad, this is someone else rejecting me, so it's not my fault."
At the same time, Fan Yan, having found a suitable spot, hurried out of the restaurant and ran up to Liu Xian, asking, "What are you doing?"
"Thanks to you all, I don't have to go on that blind date," Liu Xian said, putting his phone away.
"What do you mean?" Fan Yan didn't understand for a moment.
