The woman's mercenary expression was caught by both Mu Anxiao and Feng Qishi. For Feng Qishi, it resolved a troublesome matter. He let out a soft sigh, deliberately flicked his arm where the woman had grabbed it, and remained silent.
The woman caught this action, "No, what do you mean?" she pointed at Feng Qishi's arm.
Feng Qishi shrugged nonchalantly, "It means nothing."
"It means nothing, so why are you dusting it off?" the woman said dismissively.
"It means nothing, it means nothing. Unless," Feng Qishi said, deliberately tugging at a corner of his black veil, "you want to get a glimpse of my scarred face?" As he spoke, he leaned down.
Seeing this, the woman was startled by Feng Qishi's move, "Don't be so narcissistic. I don't want to see your face, you ugly brute." She said, taking a half-step back, and then her gaze shifted to Mu Anxiao's face.
Startled by the woman's sudden shift of focus to her, Mu Anxiao asked, "What are you doing?" Her eyes darted away.
The woman replied, "Actually, you're quite good-looking." As she spoke, she began to chuckle at Mu Anxiao inexplicably.
Mu Anxiao looked at the woman's dazed expression and was reminded of her earlier disdain for her height. She let out a cold snort, "My height is my flaw. Someone short like me isn't suitable for a lady of your stature. You'd best not praise me; I can't bear it." She took a step back.
Hearing Mu Anxiao's sarcastic words and thinking of her own recent infatuation with Feng Qishi, the woman felt embarrassed. "I was blind. Young master, please be magnanimous and don't be angry with me," she said, inadvertently noticing the money pouch in Mu Anxiao's hand and starting to giggle, "Young master, you're so rich."
"..." Mu Anxiao looked at the woman's covetous gaze at her money pouch with disdain and snorted, "Even if I'm rich, I won't give it to you." After saying this, she looked towards the waiter.
The waiter understood Mu Anxiao's meaning and stepped forward to grab the woman's arm, saying, "What kind of person are you? Don't you remember the rules here."
"You..."
"If you don't want me to broadcast your lack of discernment, then leave. You know," the waiter met the woman's eyes firmly, "what the boss dislikes the most."
"Lack of discernment." The woman blurted out the answer.
"Since you know, then hurry up and leave before the young master gets angry." The waiter said decisively and released her arm.
"Understood." The woman heeded the waiter's words, cast one last glance at the money pouch in Mu Anxiao's hand, and turned to leave.
After the woman had gone, the waiter turned to Mu Anxiao and gave a wry smile, returning to the main topic, "Young master, why don't you pick another one?" He tilted his chin.
"I'm a rather devoted person, but speaking of which," Mu Anxiao said, feigning thought, and continued, "that lunatic you mentioned, I think I know him."
"You know him?" The waiter did not believe Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao replied, "I know him..." She trailed off, suddenly recalling the dirty-faced thief's destitute appearance. She then thought... if he were truly rich, would he steal? Recalling all of this, she snapped back to attention and asked, "What did the money pouch that lunatic took look like?"
"Why are you asking this?" The waiter was suddenly bewildered.
"Just say it." Mu Anxiao said with a serious expression, as she felt the situation was not as simple as she thought.
Feng Qishi, listening to Mu Anxiao's words, furrowed his brow slightly.
Taking advantage of Mu Anxiao's words, the waiter recalled the clean money pouch the dirty-faced thief had, and then he had a sudden realization, "I remember now. That money pouch really didn't match him."
"What do you mean?" Mu Anxiao played dumb, not yet intending to expose the dirty-faced thief.
"I mean, that money pouch didn't fit his identity."
"His identity didn't match. Did the money pouch look full?" Mu Anxiao's nerves tightened, thinking that fellow had stolen again.
The waiter nodded.
"Did it feel like there was a lot of silver inside?" Mu Anxiao asked again.
The waiter nodded again.
Then, Mu Anxiao thought for a moment and said, "Take me to A'chu's room."
"You..."
"You already know he's a lunatic. Do you want to see A'chu get... bullied by a lunatic?" Mu Anxiao intentionally interrupted the waiter.
"That's A'chu's own choice. Even if I don't want to, it's no use." The waiter intended to distance himself from A'chu.
Listening to the waiter, Mu Anxiao thought that reality was indeed like this.
However, even so, Mu Anxiao did not want to give up. She turned around without another word.
Seeing this, the waiter was startled, "What are you going to do?" He had a bad premonition.
Without looking back, Mu Anxiao said, "You don't need to worry about it," and then she strode towards the stairs.
Subsequently, Feng Qishi glanced at the stunned waiter and, without a word, followed Mu Anxiao's footsteps.
Next, after standing stunned for a few seconds, the waiter quickly ran forward, "What are you going to do?" he asked, rushing past pedestrians. Just as Mu Anxiao stepped onto the stairs, he reached out and grabbed her arm, "What exactly are you going to do?" he panted, staring at Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao had heard the waiter's voice from a distance, so she was unfazed by his reaction. "What do you think I'm going to do?" She intentionally retorted.
The waiter was still panting, "How should I know what you're going to do?"
"You don't know, yet you're chasing after me." Mu Anxiao saw that the waiter was pretending to be oblivious and decided to deliberately confuse him.
Feng Qishi stood by with his arms crossed, not saying a word. Instead, he suddenly felt... this waiter was quite interesting.
Evidently, the waiter became flustered after Mu Anxiao's words. "..." He blinked at Mu Anxiao, deliberately waiting for her response.
Conversely, Mu Anxiao's patience was limited, especially as she thought about the dirty-faced thief's behavior and began to worry about A'chu's safety. "Waiter, you'd better not play dumb, or else," she said with a forced smile, taking his arm, "I'll crush your bones." After saying this, her gaze intensified.
Seeing Mu Anxiao's serious expression, the waiter flinched. "You wouldn't crush my..." He started to say, but then a sudden feeling of pain struck him. His expression stiffened, and meeting Mu Anxiao's eyes, he said, "You're serious."
"..." Mu Anxiao narrowed her eyes.
The waiter was scared, "You want to find A'chu, I know." A flash of inspiration struck him, and he dared not withhold anything.
"You know, yet you play dumb." Mu Anxiao said, and only then did she release his arm.
The next second, the waiter breathed a sigh of relief and said, "You know what I mean, yet you play dumb." After saying this, his gaze became cautious.
