Jia watched Mu Anxiao's stimulated expression, then glanced at the green-skirted woman healing herself opposite them. He quickly said, "If you don't act, you'll be finished." He then tightly grasped Mu Anxiao's arm.
Mu Anxiao snapped back to attention, looked down at Jia's anxious face, and said, "She's already better than me. Do you think..." she felt a pang of inferiority, "I can do it? Besides, I can't do such a thing."
"Then attack her weakness," Jia said.
"Weakness..." Mu Anxiao muttered, frowning, "Then it wouldn't achieve the intended effect."
"Weakness is her fatal point," Jia stated solemnly.
Mu Anxiao paused.
At the same moment, another voice suddenly came from behind Mu Anxiao and the others, "Mu Anxiao, are you really going to listen to him?"
Upon hearing this, Mu Anxiao's body stiffened. She glanced at the green-skirted woman who had closed her eyes, then quickly turned around and froze.
Jia also blinked in surprise and asked, "Who are you?" He stared wide-eyed at the boy opposite him who looked exactly like him.
The boy: "I am Jia, who are you?" he asked, glaring at Jia.
Mu Anxiao looked at both the little boy and Jia, then asked, "Hey, do you have a brother?"
"I don't," Jia shook his head.
"No," Mu Anxiao said, sensing something was amiss. She shifted a couple of steps to the side and continued, "Then this is wrong."
Normally, Jia would never have let Mu Anxiao entertain the idea of killing. But now... Jia had devised this method for her, and at the same time, another child who looked exactly like Jia had appeared.
With these two factors combined, Mu Anxiao couldn't help but doubt this Jia.
Jia immediately turned to look at Mu Anxiao, who was deliberately moving away from him, and said, "How is it wrong? I am Jia."
"You..."
"I am Jia, Mu Anxiao," the boy interrupted, walking forward as he spoke, "Life is the most important thing to everyone. You can't do this, and you should know the consequences of doing so."
"..." Mu Anxiao listened to the boy opposite her, then looked at Jia, who turned and glared at the boy, and asked, "Didn't you go invisible?"
"How would I know? He..." Jia said, carefully observing the boy who looked exactly like him, "Who is he?"
"Imposter, I advise you to reveal your true form quickly, or don't blame me for being impolite," the boy said, raising his hand and pointing towards the green-skirted woman.
Seeing this, Mu Anxiao followed the boy's finger and glanced sideways. The green-skirted woman had collapsed. Her nerves tightened, and she quickly turned back to the boy, asking, "What did you do to her?"
"I just made her quiet for a while," the boy said, pointing at Jia, who stood frozen, "He's a liar, don't believe him."
"You're slandering me," Jia shouted agitatedly.
The boy: "I was clearly invisible, why can you see me?" he asked, tilting his head.
Mu Anxiao didn't know what to say upon hearing the boy's words.
After hearing the boy's words, Jia's mind became a mess, "What are you talking about? What exactly are you?"
"A thing," the boy took a deep breath, "You dare to call me a thing? I am a Yin messenger." As he spoke, he spread his hands and conjured a silver rope.
Mu Anxiao exclaimed in surprise, "A silver rope." She then looked at Jia's back and retreated another two steps.
Jia squinted, "You can even fake this." He then spread his hand and also conjured a silver rope.
"No way," Mu Anxiao muttered, backing away a few more steps until she leaned against a tree.
The next second, the sound of the silver rope whipping the ground echoed throughout the entire forest.
Mu Anxiao crossed her arms and watched the two children fighting before her. Then, she glanced at the green-skirted woman lying on the ground, thought for a moment, and immediately conjured the celestial book belonging to the second level of spiritual energy.
A quarter of an hour later.
Jia and the boy stopped fighting together and stood facing each other, both holding the silver rope, looking at each other without saying a word.
Mu Anxiao, arms crossed, watched the two, who looked like twin brothers playing house, and chuckled.
Hearing her, they both looked towards Mu Anxiao.
Mu Anxiao: "No more fighting." She straightened up, walked between them, and looked at each of them. "Since there are two of you, it means one of you is definitely fake."
"I am real," Jia said quickly.
The boy also shouted, "I am real."
And so, they both began to repeat this one answer.
Mu Anxiao sighed as she listened to their fervent declarations, and shouted, "Silence."
Upon hearing her, they stopped.
Mu Anxiao pursed her lips, looked at the silver rope in each of their hands, and said, "Both have items from the underworld." She looked at the boy, "You are real."
"Yes, I am real, Mu Anxiao, you must believe me."
"Believe you," Mu Anxiao said, smiling slightly, and asked, "Alright, I can believe you, but you have to tell me how to cure her poison?" She pointed at the green-skirted woman lying there.
The boy followed Mu Anxiao's finger, glanced at the green-skirted woman, and said, "It's very simple, just let her have a sense of superiority. You just need to admit defeat."
"If I admit defeat, what if she kills me?"
"I'll help you," the boy said decisively.
Mu Anxiao then asked, "Do you know about the art of rebirth?"
"Rebirth..." the boy repeated, looking at Mu Anxiao without any evasion, "Don't listen to his nonsense, there is no such thing as the art of rebirth. If you kill her, you're finished. Trust me."
"Trust you..." Mu Anxiao repeated, lowering her gaze.
The boy looked at Mu Anxiao's suddenly silent expression and blinked, "Mu Anxiao, we are partners now, you should trust me."
"Partner..." Mu Anxiao said, looking up at the boy, and suddenly grinned.
The boy's expression froze.
Jia glared at the boy, remaining silent.
Mu Anxiao looked at the boy's serious expression, then recalled the words he had earnestly spoken. She repeated, "Partner," then removed the smile from her face and moved to Jia's side.
The boy exclaimed excitedly, "Mu Anxiao, you're crazy."
"Crazy," Mu Anxiao said, looking down at Jia holding the silver rope, "You're quite stupid too."
However, the boy thought Mu Anxiao was about to attack Jia and started to laugh, "Yes, this idiot should be dealt with."
Jia clenched his fists.
Mu Anxiao reached out and gently patted Jia's head, asking, "When you came over, why did you retract your invisibility technique?"
Hearing this, Jia stiffened and hurriedly looked down at his own hand, freezing.
Mu Anxiao patted Jia's head twice, then looked at the boy opposite her, her face hardening, "Tell me, who are you?" Her tone was cold.
The boy heard this and froze.
