Chapter 34 Momo is a Little Demon

Su Yunmo swallowed her words, a silent understanding seeming to grow between them. She merely pouted, complaining about the bland food, "Chicken legs are still tastier."

She walked away. A while later, Qianxue entered from outside and looked surprised to see her master without his mask.

Ye Jingyu gazed at Su Yunmo's departing back through the window. "Send Zhao Fengchen to her. She will handle it."

A glint flashed in Qianxue's eyes as she nodded and said, "Yes."

Su Yunmo attended school as a day student these days, and after school in the evening, Acai would pick her up and take her to the Zhou family's house.

As soon as she entered, she saw Su Qingtian being struck by a pillow thrown from a room and falling down the steps.

The man hugged the pillow, his neck stiff, and wailed with great spirit, "If I have to kneel, I'll kneel! It's not the first time anyway!"

As Su Qingtian spoke, he slammed the pillow onto the ground and then, with great swagger… knelt down.

Su Yunmo took a step into the courtyard gate, paused, then found it difficult to go in and even more difficult to go out, unsure of what game they were playing.

Acai patted Su Yunmo comfortingly, "Back then, when the master didn't want the madam to marry the general, the general knelt outside like this for a day and a night."

The implication was that this was a minor matter, and she was afraid Su Yunmo would blame herself.

Su Yunmo was a little worried, "Then who will I have dinner with tonight?"

Acai: "..."

"How about eating with Brother Li?" an eight-year-old child poked his head out from outside the door.

He rushed to Su Yunmo's side, scooped her up, ruffled her hair, and kissed her on the cheek, leaving a mark.

"You're so soft! I heard Father say you're the daughter of my paternal aunt's family, and you're staying with us for a few days, right? That's great!"

He had long heard from that fellow Su Siyuan that he had a very, very cute sister, and he had wanted to see her for a long time, but his father had stopped him, afraid he would try to take her away.

Hmph, and now she was delivered right to his doorstep.

Acai rescued Su Yunmo from his embrace and wiped the saliva off her face with a handkerchief. "This is the Second Young Master."

Su Yunmo remembered that her maternal uncle's family had two sons.

Her eldest cousin, Zhou Zeqing, had grown up with his maternal grandfather on the border and rarely returned. Her second cousin, Zhou Zeli, was the one before her.

Su Yunmo currently had many brothers, and she knew very well how to get along with them peacefully.

"Then Brother Li, take Momo out to eat," Su Yunmo hopped off the ground, holding Zhou Zeli's hand, looking obedient and cute.

Zhou Zeli's eyes immediately lit up. He couldn't help but nibble her cheek again, patted his chest, "Brother Li has money, I'll take you to the biggest restaurant!"

Acai, not at ease, asked Green Vine to follow them. However, Zhou Zeli wanted to spend time alone with his sister, so he shook off Green Vine as soon as they left the mansion.

Zhou Zeli was a regular at all the major restaurants in the capital, and he knew the way to 'Xiangge Cuisine'.

"This is the most famous restaurant in the entire capital. The decor is grand, the dishes are diverse, and every dish is a recipe personally concocted by the owner."

Su Yunmo was pulled inside. As soon as they entered, Zhou Zeli loudly requested a private room.

"I'm very sorry, esteemed guest. All private rooms are occupied. You can find a window seat on the first floor; the view is good, and the air circulates well."

Su Xiayue, wearing a waiter's uniform, ran over with a plate.

Su Yunmo was stunned when she saw her, "Why are you here?"

Before Su Xiayue could reply, Zhou Zeli said, "Doesn't Momo know? This restaurant is opened by your eldest uncle, and she's working here."

Su Xiayue scratched her head and giggled foolishly, "I still haven't thanked you for what happened last time. Since Momo is here, I'll ask the kitchen to add an extra dish for you later."

She shouted, "Two seats by the window!" and then turned back to say, "There are many people today, so I won't be serving you."

Her demeanor was very familiar, and it was unclear how long she had been working there.

The seats were cleared, and the two sat down to wait for their food.

Zhou Zeli watched Su Xiayue bustling about and whispered, "Her father borrowed a lot of money from your eldest uncle for his business, but he never returned. The son has to repay the father's debt."

Su Yunmo narrowed her eyes. She didn't like to meddle in other people's affairs, but considering Su Xiayue's living situation at the Su family, she probably didn't have an easy life.

"Momo, order whatever you like," Zhou Zeli ordered several expensive dishes and pushed the menu towards her.

Su Yunmo glanced at it and found that he had ordered all the most expensive items.

Good heavens, it seemed this cousin was indeed quite wealthy.

Su Yunmo loved meat, so she ordered two more meat dishes and instructed the kitchen to prepare them.

During this time, another group of people entered from outside.

The man in the lead was around twenty-five, stout, with an oily face and a crooked nose. He was followed by more than a dozen people, each with their nostrils flared upwards.

As soon as they entered, they called for food to be served. Hearing that there were no seats, they simply drove away three tables of people and pushed the tables together.

Their demeanor was not like people coming to eat, but like people coming to challenge the restaurant.

"So annoying, it's them again," Zhou Zeli pouted.

Su Yunmo: "You know them?"

The ordered dishes were brought up.

Zhou Zeli handed her chopsticks, "Zhao Fengchen. He relies on his many businesses and causes trouble every few days. It's really unlucky to run into him."

Su Yunmo narrowed her eyes. She had just heard this name today.

"Am I giving you face by eating here? What do you mean there's none?"

As he spoke, a commotion broke out over there.

The waiter was grabbed by the collar and pushed out, falling to the ground. "The dish you ordered is only available in the palace. How dare this humble establishment make it."

Zhao Fengchen kicked over a table. "Isn't this a restaurant? Don't talk about palace dishes, even if I want something from the heavens, you have to get it. If you don't have this dish, what kind of restaurant are you running?"

These words seemed to be the fuse. Everyone he brought with him stood up and started smashing things, scaring away many diners.

Su Xiayue came out from the kitchen with the extra dish for Su Yunmo. She had barely taken two steps when she slipped on some spilled soup and fell at Zhao Fengchen's feet.

The fish overturned, and the fish soup splashed onto Zhao Fengchen's clothes.

"I'm sorry, I didn't do it on purpose," Su Xiayue apologized instinctively, then was lifted by her collar.

Zhao Fengchen raised his hand and slapped her, "You little brat, is an apology enough?"

Chopsticks flew from a distance, piercing Zhao Fengchen's hand as he struck.

A bloody hole appeared on the back of his hand, and he immediately cried out in pain.

Su Xiayue broke free and fell to the ground, looking up, "Momo!"

Su Yunmo rotated her wrist. "There are no dishes from the heavens, but if you want to eat dishes from a latrine, I can help you."

"My dear, what are you doing!" Zhou Zeli hadn't recovered from her previous move. Seeing her about to go out and play the hero, he quickly grabbed her.

Zhao Fengchen was clearly looking for trouble. The people in the restaurant dared not fight him. With so many people he brought, the two children were no match.

Zhao Fengchen was sweating profusely from the pain. He looked up and saw that the one opposing him was a little girl, feeling insulted.

"Brat, you dare to act tough? Go and bring her over here. I'll make her lick the dishes off the ground clean!"

Su Yunmo shook off Zhou Zeli, rotated her shoulders, and stepped forward.

Licking dishes? That's a good idea. She was wondering how to make him remember her.

Two men charged at Su Yunmo.

"This is bad, this is bad!" Zhou Zeli stomped his feet anxiously, then turned and ran towards the door.

Everyone watching sighed.

The little girl was surely going to die. It was a pity that at such a young age, she was standing up for injustice, but her brother, fearing for his life, abandoned her and fled.
