Chapter 274 I Am Willing

Luo Qi hung up the phone but found himself unable to sleep. He reached out and turned off the light, opening his eyes in the pitch darkness to stare at the ceiling.

He couldn't see anything, but he just wanted to look. After holding the same posture and spacing out for a long time, Luo Qi's eyes finally felt a bit sore, and he closed them.

Although he trusted Ye Mu, and Cecy had said Ye Mu was fine, and even 111 had said he would get his wish, he still couldn't control his nervousness.

111 was unusually obedient today. After dinner, it lay beside Luo Qi, its tail lazily sweeping Luo Qi's hand.

When Luo Qi curled his fingers, 111's furry tail was pulled out of his hand.

111 purred from its throat, "Go to sleep."

The next day, Luo Qi showed no sign of the previous night's tension in front of Cecy. When Cecy suggested he go play for a while, he even proactively returned to the study to process the newly delivered documents for the afternoon.

Luo Qi felt his current mood was like that of a parent waiting for their child's college entrance examination results.

He had never had a child, nor had he ever waited for such an exam, but he felt the anticipation and nervousness in his heart were probably the same.

In the evening, Luo Qi began to feel distracted. It had been a whole day, and he didn't know if the results were out yet.

Cecy was sitting on the sofa watching his terminal. He chuckled softly, looking at Luo Qi, who kept glancing towards the door, and clicked his tongue.

"Look at you, so pathetic. What are you rushing for?"

Luo Qi crossed his arms and walked heavily towards Cecy. Cecy closed his terminal and watched as Luo Qi plopped down beside him, looking very unconvinced.

"If it were Dad, wouldn't Dad be anxious to get a wife?"

Cecy raised an eyebrow. "Hmm?"

Luo Qi bit his tongue. Damn, his dad actually didn't seem anxious to get a wife; he had him without a wife.

He slumped again, leaning against Cecy as if boneless. "Dad, isn't it over yet?"

Cecy feigned ignorance. "What's over?"

Luo Qi nuzzled Cecy's shoulder with his forehead, wriggling like a caterpillar, acting spoiled. "Dad~~~ Just tell me~~~"

Cecy, unable to resist, pinched Luo Qi's cheek. "Almost."

Luo Qi was a little dissatisfied, but he couldn't get any more information from Cecy.

In the evening, Luo Qi tried to contact Ye Mu via communicator but was told he was temporarily unavailable. Luo Qi didn't know if Ye Mu's side hadn't finished yet. After trying twice, he didn't dare to try again.

There was no news about the election assembly on the star network. Luo Qi browsed the star network for a long time, becoming more and more agitated. Finally, his terminal ran out of power, and he lay back on the bed.

Late at night, Luo Qi was woken by the sound of fireworks exploding. He got out of bed, pulled open the curtains, and saw fireworks scattered across the sky, along with people beneath them.

To be honest, before this, Luo Qi thought confessions under fireworks were quite cliché.

But he now clearly felt his heart racing. It turned out that whether something was cliché or heartwarming wasn't about the fireworks, but about the person setting them off.

Ye Mu stood below Luo Qi's bedroom window, waving desperately in Luo Qi's direction.

The stardust and sparks fell on his shoulders and body, reflecting in his eyes, becoming the backdrop to Luo Qi in his gaze.

Luo Qi abruptly closed the curtains and ran downstairs. Halfway down, he turned back, put on a thicker piece of clothing, and wrapped a scarf around his neck.

After thinking for a moment, Luo Qi took off the scarf. His palms were so warm they felt like they were sweating; he probably wouldn't need a scarf.

He sprinted to the first floor and opened the door. The cold wind hit his face, and he calmed down a little. He walked towards Ye Mu step by step.

Ye Mu also circled around from the direction of Luo Qi's bedroom and was now standing in front of Luo Qi with a smile.

Whether it was because Ye Mu's injuries hadn't healed or because the weather was too cold today, Ye Mu's face was a little pale.

Ye Mu reached into his pocket. Luo Qi stared at him blankly, too overwhelmed with things to say to know where to start. He subconsciously followed the movement of Ye Mu's hand.

Ye Mu pulled out a small crystal, which shimmered with a golden light all over.

The surrounding fireworks had died down. This small rhombus-shaped stone fell into Luo Qi's and Ye Mu's palms, reflecting a beautiful, fragmented light.

Ye Mu leaned closer to Luo Qi. Luo Qi scratched his hair, worried he wouldn't look good waking up in the middle of the night.

But as he took half a step back, Ye Mu pulled him back by the waist. Luo Qi was startled. While they had hugged before, this embrace felt more intimate. But this was the first time Luo Qi's heart had beaten so fast.

He thought he also heard another rapid heartbeat, which gradually merged with his own into a single rhythm.

The distance between them narrowed. Ye Mu placed the stone in his hand into Luo Qi's, his voice deep, his breath seeming to fall on Luo Qi's lips.

"This is a small planet."

There were many ways to prove ownership of a planet, such as these rhombus-shaped crystals, which would be inscribed with the owner's life and identity.

Ye Mu smiled at Luo Qi and said, "This is a small planet belonging only to us. I'm giving it to you."

Ye Mu had spent all the money he had saved over the years to buy this small planet. The small planet was located on the outermost edge of the insect race's star system, close to Earth.

Ye Mu then pulled out his terminal, tapped a few times, and turned the screen towards Luo Qi, showing him the content.

It was the latest news, which had just been released and swept across the entire interstellar network: the new leader of Earth was a young man only twenty years old.

The smiling face on the screen overlapped with the smiling face in front of him, and Luo Qi's lips curved upwards.

Ye Mu closed his terminal, wrapped his arms around Luo Qi's waist, and said,

"My little Highness, I like you. Ye Mu likes you. Ye Mu likes Luo Qi.

Today, I finally dare to say it out loud. I give you all my savings from the first half of my life and all my time for the second half.

Little Highness, will you accept?"

Luo Qi's eyes suddenly felt a little hot.

Ye Mu's eyelashes were long, casting shadows on his eyelids. His eyes were dark, with only Luo Qi reflected in them.

Luo Qi swallowed, afraid his heart would leap out of his chest the moment he spoke.

But he finally said, "I do."

Luo Qi hugged Ye Mu's back, burying himself in his embrace, a gesture of great dependence.

He looked up at Ye Mu, his eyes reflecting only Ye Mu.

Ye Mu could no longer hold back. He slowly lowered his head, their breaths mingling, and a kiss landed on Luo Qi's lips. He tightened his grip, deepening the kiss.

"I crossed millions of light-years just to find you."

"Fortunately, I caught you."

— The End —
