Luo Qi had a peculiar constitution. One day, he saw a television program showcasing several plants reputed to be the most resilient across the entire galaxy. A sudden whim struck him: he wanted to grow some plants in pots.
He excitedly bought a large batch of plant seeds, only to have everything he planted die.
Luo Qi refused to believe it. He purchased another large quantity of various seeds and personally tended to them daily, watering and fertilizing, and ensuring they got plenty of sunlight. Yet, not a single seed sprouted.
Luo Qi toiled for a full year, meticulously considering every factor: temperature, light, humidity, and water. After attempting to grow every plant that was supposedly easy to care for, he finally gave up.
He still had many seeds left, and discarding them felt like a waste, so he dumped them all on Ye Mu.
Ye Mu also possessed a peculiar constitution. He could cultivate any plant exceptionally well, resulting in lush foliage and robust stems—a feat that greatly envied Luo Qi.
Luo Qi was infuriated. In a fit of retaliatory consumerism, he ordered a large number of plant seeds from the insect network, specifically choosing those known to be difficult to grow. To his dismay, Ye Mu successfully cultivated them all.
When Sai Xi heard about this, he couldn't stop laughing. He promptly installed a glass greenhouse behind the royal palace, directly facing Luo Qi's bedroom, dedicated to Ye Mu and Luo Qi's horticultural endeavors.
Although very few of the flowers Luo Qi himself planted managed to survive, he still adored the small greenhouse and would visit it whenever he had the chance.
However, the only one who loved it even more than him was Ugly Cat 111.
According to 111 himself, his favorite activity was to roll around amidst the beautiful flowers.
By getting covered in the fragrance of flowers, he could momentarily forget that he was an ugly cat.
Regarding 111, Luo Qi wasn't sure how to explain his presence when he first regained consciousness. However, Sai Xi seemed to already know, or perhaps had made some promise to 111, as he showed no surprise at 111's appearance.
Luo Qi changed his clothes and walked out, putting on his shoes as he went. He nearly stumbled, but Ye Mu caught him, helping him regain his balance.
Ye Mu, with a dark expression, placed a hand on Luo Qi's shoulder. "What's the rush?"
Luo Qi reached back and took Ye Mu's hand. "Let's go, let's go."
As the two walked out together, the royal attendants passing by were accustomed to the sight. They simply smiled, watching the two young boys, like energetic little suns, bringing warmth to the cold royal palace.
Upon reaching the glass greenhouse, even before entering, Luo Qi could hear 111's meowing.
Luo Qi hurried to push the door open, squinting as he called out, "111! Are you ruining my flowers again!"
111 continued to meow incessantly. "These aren't the ones you planted."
Luo Qi grabbed 111 by the scruff of his neck, lifted him up, and ruffled his face. "Didn't you always look forward to becoming human? Why are you still in this ugly cat body every day?"
111 kicked his legs in mid-air, unable to escape Luo Qi's palm. He stubbornly refused to use the android body.
It had to be admitted that the body was truly exquisite. The main system had spent a year meticulously crafting it, and from face to figure, it was quite appealing. However, the body had a baby face.
While the physique was that of an adult, the face still retained a baby-like roundness. It was a very cute and delicate young boy, likely created by the main system based on the host's identity in this world as a young boy.
However, 111 expressed his disapproval of this face. He felt that this face, still bearing a hint of baby fat, was utterly incompatible with his majestic (perhaps?) identity and personality.
Therefore, compared to the excessively handsome young boy's face, 111 even preferred the ugly cat's face.
111, "forced" to wear an ugly cat face, was utterly enraged. He made no effort to suppress the body's natural instincts. Upon seeing Luo Qi's small garden, he went on a rampage, destroying flowers, and only felt comfortable after rolling on the ground until he was covered in leaves and petals.
Luo Qi, seeing the cat's fur stained with red petal juice, felt a throbbing pain in his forehead. "You damn 111, do you think I won't beat you?"
111 continued to meow incessantly. Seeing that there were no outsiders around Luo Qi, he directly began to curse.
"I've gone through life and death with you! You dare scold me for stepping on a few of your flowers?!"
An ugly cat, with fur bristling and its body covered in red flower juice, spewing "I" and "you kid" was a truly disillusioning sight. Ye Mu felt his eyes were being assaulted.
Ye Mu had never understood why 111, a cat, could speak human language and occasionally transform into a person. When he asked Luo Qi, he was vaguely brushed off.
Ye Mu stopped asking, assuming it was some unique high-tech product of the insect planet. After ten years, he had become quite accustomed to it, though he was still occasionally assaulted by the sight, and that was with emphasis.
He coughed lightly and took the cat from Luo Qi's hands. This cat, it was unclear what it had eaten, but it had become quite obese over the past ten years. If Luo Qi carried it, he wouldn't be able to hold on for long.
Ye Mu subtly extended a hand to support the cat's rear and said, "Nina is also returning today, and we'll have guests later. Let's go back first.
I'll tidy up these flowers properly when I have some free time."
Luo Qi's eyes lit up. "Nina is returning too? Weren't they saying school wouldn't have a holiday this year?
Nina's tastes are similar to mine. I'll ask Chef Uncle to prepare more. She hasn't been back in a long time. I wonder if Aunt Lia and the others will be back tonight..."
Even though Ye Mu was the one who first mentioned Nina, hearing Luo Qi ramble on made him a little unhappy.
Although Nina wasn't on the insect planet due to school, she still communicated with Luo Qi frequently. Every time they chatted, it would go on endlessly, and she would insist that Luo Qi wait for her, promising to marry him in the future.
Bah! At such a young age, not learning anything good, and instead learning about early romance? Besides, if anyone were to marry, it should be him marrying Luo Qi.
Thinking of this, Ye Mu suddenly paused. Although he had jokingly called Luo Qi his little bride when they were younger, as he grew older and learned more, he had made sure not to say such things often.
But both he and Luo Qi would grow up. Honestly, Luo Qi and Nina were well-matched, of the same race, and Nina had always liked Luo Qi since childhood. Nina's very existence was partly due to Luo Qi...
No matter how one looked at it, they seemed quite suitable. Why, then, did he feel a pang of displeasure at the thought of them getting married, and Nina becoming Luo Qi's crown princess?
Ye Mu suddenly spoke, "Her teacher said that Nina has secretly run off to play again. She didn't pass her last small assessment and didn't listen to you. It seems she skipped class after only a few days of attending."
