Chapter 105 Fever

In the dim room, a sigh echoed after a long time, not one of satisfaction from revenge, nor of loss from a fallen foe.

A moment later, the light screen in the room flickered twice, the image vanished, and all traces of external access disappeared. The room’s lighting returned to normal.

The insect race’s army received the news within ten minutes of Sabuna’s head rolling to the ground.

In fact, the news didn’t need to be actively sought by the insect race’s army; someone delivered it directly to Bosia.

Bosia frowned. For various reasons, the insect race had not intended to directly target Sabuna.

Killing him directly would have been simple, but such a method would lead to many subsequent troubles.

No matter how useless the Federation was, the position of Federation Chairman still held some significance. On the surface, it remained the first avenue for resolving conflicts between many interstellar races.

But now, who had been so cruel and unashamed as to kill him directly in his office?

Bosia’s premonition was correct. Within half an hour of the insect race’s army receiving the news, all major powers ranked among the top in the galaxy had received the same information.

Along with this news, another piece of information was conveyed, subtly enveloping everyone’s minds: this incident was the work of the insect race.

What Sabuna had done was neither a great nor a small matter. Many people didn’t even know why he had incited public opinion on the star net to discuss a child who had only recently been born.

Yet, the insect race, because of this matter that could be either big or small, had cruelly killed Sabuna in his office, clearly showing no regard for others.

Suddenly, all the various races in the galaxy, who had begun to have a slightly better impression of the insect race due to their proactive contact with outsiders and the young prince attending kindergarten, became worried again.

The galaxy, which had been peaceful for only a few days, was once again stirred by a storm, not particularly large but not insignificant.

However, this gust of wind, upon reaching the Insect Star, selectively blew into Cesi’s ears. But for the two naive little chubby cubs, they had just finished dinner and were preparing to board the starship back to the Insect Star.

Alger stopped Cesi, who was about to board the starship, and whispered a few words. After listening, Cesi smiled slightly, "No need to worry about it."

Alger frowned, "But… in just a few hours, the public opinion on the star net has started again."

Cesi looked at Alger and suddenly laughed, "When did the insect race ever care about such things?"

Alger also smiled helplessly, "Yes." He glanced at Luo Qi, who was happily walking in the distance, "But now that we have the little prince, it’s always different from before."

Cesi also looked at Luo Qi and sighed, "No need to tell him. The insect race doesn't need to interfere much with this matter. The person behind it will eventually reveal themselves."

Cesi didn’t say more. He walked up to Luo Qi, took his hand, and together they boarded the starship with the two little cubs.

In the history of the insect race, Ye Mu was the first outsider to visit the Insect Star.

Luo Qi was not wrong; on the way to the Insect Star, the interstellar night was exceptionally beautiful.

Luo Qi had deliberately arranged for Ye Mu to sit by the window. Looking at the planets surrounded by nebulae outside, the starlight fell on Ye Mu’s face. He was surprised to find that the insect race’s galaxy was indeed much more beautiful than any he had seen before.

Luo Qi tilted his head and looked at Ye Mu, "How is it? Beautiful?"

Ye Mu nodded, "Beautiful."

Luo Qi looked proud, "Right? Our planet is even more beautiful. When we get back, I can introduce you to my insect race friends."

Ye Mu nodded, then looked at Luo Qi’s face and frowned, "Why is your face so red?"

Luo Qi touched his face, bewildered, "What?"

Ye Mu pointed to his cheeks, "It's very red here. Are you very hot?"

Luo Qi shook his head, "No, I'm just a little sleepy and want to take a nap."

Ye Mu nodded, "Then I'll wake you up when we reach the Insect Star."

Luo Qi seemed genuinely sleepy. Not long after saying that, he lay down on the seat and fell asleep. The insect race’s starship was designed in such a way that when Luo Qi truly fell asleep, the seat slowly reclined to the most comfortable angle for sleeping.

A few minutes later, Cesi pushed open the cabin door and walked in. The first thing he saw was Luo Qi, who was already asleep.

A smile flashed in his eyes, and he asked Ye Mu in a low voice, "Is he sleepy?"

Ye Mu nodded. When facing this King of the Insect Race, even with his best efforts to conceal it, his nervousness was evident.

Cesi saw this and, seeing that there were no problems with Luo Qi, turned and walked out of the cabin.

Ye Mu looked at the sky full of stardust outside. The stardust seemed to scatter randomly in the void, aimless, but in reality, it always revolved with the rotation of the planets.

Ye Mu felt his heart slowly calm down.

Not long after, he felt the area around him getting hotter. At first, he thought the cabin temperature had risen because Luo Qi was asleep.

But as the surrounding temperature continued to increase, he realized that the heat was not coming from the cabin, but from Luo Qi beside him.

Luo Qi lay on the reclined seat, curled into a small ball, his mouth slightly open, emitting heat. His face, forehead, and neck were all flushed red.

Ye Mu frowned tightly and reached out to touch Luo Qi’s face, immediately getting burned by the heat. Luo Qi seemed to have a fever!

He softly called Luo Qi’s name, but Luo Qi seemed to have fainted, showing no reaction at all.

Ye Mu pursed his lips, quickly jumped off the seat, and ran out to find Cesi. He stumbled and fell due to running too fast.

He got up and ran outside again. The insect race’s starship was very large, and Ye Mu had no idea where Cesi was, so he could only run around aimlessly.

Fortunately, Cesi heard the commotion and walked out of the command room. He frowned as he looked at the panicked Ye Mu, a bad premonition forming in his mind, "What's wrong, little human child?"

Ye Mu said anxiously, "Luo Qi seems to have a fever, and he's fainted now."

Cesi's expression changed drastically, and he ran towards Luo Qi's cabin. Ye Mu followed behind him, also running in.

Cesi rushed over and scooped Luo Qi up. Luo Qi was burning with fever, even his breathing emitted heat, and he had lost consciousness.

The veins on his forehead bulged. He forced himself to calm down and said sternly, "Call the doctor."

In fact, there was no need for Ye Mu to say anything. The insect general following Cesi immediately called the doctor accompanying the insect ship.

The room, which had only contained two little cubs moments ago, was suddenly crowded with people. Ye Mu pursed his lips, looking at Luo Qi, who was surrounded, and followed the doctor’s movements softly, feeling an indescribable sadness.

Why had Luo Qi suddenly developed a fever?
