If he were a mature adult, he shouldn't make a child worry about him. This latter half, Jiang Ziyu didn't say.
The lunchbox was opened, and the entire room was filled with fragrance.
Jiang Ziyu proactively went to Di Mingjue's side, reaching out to hold his arm. "I heard you've been busy all day. Eat something first, and I'll handle the rest for you."
"You?" Di Mingjue's tone rose.
Jiang Ziyu tugged at his arm and, feigning punishment, strode forward, forcing him to match her pace. Arriving at a seat, she pushed Di Mingjue onto the chair.
"Here." Jiang Ziyu, holding a spoon, glanced at the fish in the lunchbox, then handed the spoon to Di Mingjue. She then took out chopsticks and, after peeling off the skin, picked out the small bones.
The food on the spoon reached his mouth, and after chewing a couple of times, Di Mingjue realized what he was eating.
Listening carefully, he heard the sound of chopsticks touching.
She was picking out fish bones for him?
Di Mingjue was very surprised.
"Why aren't you eating?" Jiang Ziyu asked, her movements not slowing down at all.
Di Mingjue shook his head and quietly sat there, enjoying the fish meat that Jiang Ziyu had meticulously prepared.
He finished all the food brought, and as Di Mingjue put down his chopsticks, intending to get up, he heard a rumbling sound.
His neck tilted, and his body leaned towards Jiang Ziyu.
"You haven't eaten?"
Jiang Ziyu was packing the lunchbox and hummed in response.
She had left in a hurry and hadn't felt hungry at the time. Now that she was relaxed, her body began to protest.
Something soft stirred in his heart, and Di Mingjue fell silent.
"Madam!"
Shen Lin suddenly pushed the door open, breaking the awkward atmosphere in the room.
As he approached, the aroma wafted over.
"Shen Lin, give her the food," Di Mingjue ordered.
Shen Lin glanced at the lunchbox on the table and, not daring to delay, placed the takeout box in front of Jiang Ziyu with both hands.
"Eat quickly, don't let anyone think we, the Di family, are neglecting you."
Although it was concern, Di Mingjue's words were not pleasant at all.
Jiang Ziyu didn't argue with him and sat down to enjoy her dinner.
Since giving birth, Jiang Ziyu had paid particular attention to her health and rarely caught a cold or fell ill throughout the year.
After eating, Jiang Ziyu took out the silver needles she had specifically brought from her bag. There was unused alcohol in the office from last time. She meticulously sterilized the needles and had Shen Lin press Di Mingjue down onto the sofa.
"Don't move!" Jiang Ziyu placed one hand on Di Mingjue's forehead.
It's said that one should not touch a man's head.
Di Mingjue was as if his pressure points had been hit, sitting in the chair, unable to move.
Soon, all the silver needles were inserted into his scalp. Jiang Ziyu looked up at the time.
"I'll leave them in for an extra half hour today. I'll remove them after an hour."
Di Mingjue was very obedient this time, sitting quietly on the sofa and waiting.
Looking at the documents on the desk, Jiang Ziyu asked Shen Lin, who was beside her, "Do all of these need to be sorted out today?"
Shen Lin nodded.
In fact, not all of them did. Some files were too old, and Di Mingjue needed to investigate them personally to understand what Di Dongsheng had done while in charge of the company over the years.
"Pick out some that I can handle," Jiang Ziyu said, making arrangements.
Her tone and actions instantly made Shen Lin see a female version of Di Mingjue.
Was it because of their marriage? Their ways of doing things and their speech patterns were so similar.
Shen Lin looked back at the sofa. Di Mingjue had closed his eyes and had already drifted off to sleep.
When inserting the needles, Jiang Ziyu, afraid he wouldn't rest, had specifically targeted a nerve that benefited sleep. She hadn't expected him to fall asleep so quickly.
The documents were all from before and were no longer company secrets. Moreover, what was the harm if she looked at them? Could she possibly leak them to other companies?
Shen Lin pondered for a moment and placed the stack at the bottom in front of Jiang Ziyu.
"These?" she asked.
Shen Lin nodded and then took out photocopied papers from a folder. "You need to compare the data with the information above to see if it matches."
"Easy!" Jiang Ziyu began browsing the documents in front of her with full confidence.
