Chapter 33 Insecurity

Jiang Ziyu looked relieved and affectionately held Qianqian in her arms again, "Mommy will personally accompany our Qianqian to kindergarten tomorrow morning."

Qianqian, who had been unhappy, finally smiled.

Having opened her heart, Jiang Ziyu helped Qianqian wash up and then read fairy tales with her.

Half an hour later, Qianqian fell asleep. Jiang Ziyu turned off the main light and adjusted the room temperature to ensure Qianqian had a good sleeping environment.

"Goodnight," Jiang Ziyu bent down, kissed Qianqian's forehead, and quietly left.

Hearing the footsteps recede, Qianqian opened her eyes.

She emerged from the covers, took paper and pen, and went to Di Mingjue's room.

Hearing the sound of the light being turned on, Di Mingjue opened his eyes, "Who?"

Qianqian walked over, took his hand, and responded.

Realizing it was Qianqian, Di Mingjue's tone softened, "Qianqian, are you unhappy?"

Qianqian huffily pushed him away.

In Qianqian's heart, Daddy was at fault for the argument between Daddy and Mommy that afternoon.

"What's wrong, Qianqian? Did someone bully you?"

Qianqian stood on tiptoe and bit Di Mingjue's arm as a punishment.

Her little teeth didn't exert much force. Di Mingjue felt the bite but not the pain.

After a light bite, Qianqian immediately let go. She blamed Di Mingjue for being fierce to Jiang Ziyu but didn't want him to be in pain.

Di Mingjue stroked the bitten spot and thought back to what had happened at the kindergarten.

"Qianqian, are you blaming me for arguing with her?" Di Mingjue asked.

Qianqian patted his leg.

Whether she was or wasn't, Di Mingjue's confused mind made it impossible for him to guess Qianqian's thoughts.

One couldn't speak, and the other couldn't see, making communication impossible.

Di Mingjue called Shen Lin.

Shen Lin rushed over. He opened the door and saw the adult and child sitting opposite each other.

"Mr. Di," Shen Lin announced his arrival.

Di Mingjue listened and then said, "Qianqian, if there's anything you want to tell Daddy, write it down and let Uncle Shen read it to me."

Shen Lin was bewildered. Seeing Qianqian making no move, he proactively placed the paper and pen in front of her.

In the quiet room, the sound of a pen gliding across paper echoed. Shen Lin stood beside Qianqian and read it word for word.

"I love Mommy, Daddy can't be mean to Mommy!" Shen Lin relayed, feeling embarrassed after finishing.

Fearing Di Mingjue wouldn't understand, he quickly explained, "Mr. Di, Qianqian wrote this."

"I know," Di Mingjue replied dejectedly.

In just a few days, Qianqian had already confided in Jiang Ziyu.

Di Mingjue had some things he couldn't say and could only say to Shen Lin, "Call Dr. Li to come over."

Dr. Li was the Di family's private doctor, exclusively serving the Di family. His skills were exceptional; he could handle everything from common colds to major surgeries.

Shen Lin turned to contact Dr. Li.

Before Dr. Li arrived, Di Mingjue chose to ignore Qianqian's inquiries.

In this world, only that woman could be Qianqian's mother; no one else would do!

Only ten minutes after the call was made, Dr. Li arrived at the Di residence carrying his medical bag.

Di Mingjue instructed Shen Lin to take Qianqian away from Dr. Li, while he recounted everything that had happened at kindergarten to Dr. Li.

Having just met her, the knowledge in his mind allowed Dr. Li to perceive Qianqian's condition.

"Mr. Di, there's something I don't know if I should say," Dr. Li hesitated.

"Speak freely, don't hold back any reservations," Di Mingjue dispelled his concerns.

"Miss Qianqian's condition is very serious. She appears calm and gentle on the surface, but she is extremely insecure internally. This state is already severe; what seem like minor issues to us are more catastrophic than the sky falling for her."

"Unable to guide herself internally, she will gradually imprison herself. With time, she might do something to harm herself."
