“A watch?”
“Pink.”
Di Mingjue didn’t know the whereabouts of the watch, so he asked the servant to search upstairs.
Under Jiang Ziyu’s powerful pressure, the person on the sofa voluntarily moved aside.
“Please turn on the computer,” Jiang Ziyu took out her phone, preparing to connect it to the computer.
The watch and phone were linked by an app, but cracking the watch’s location required computer assistance.
As per her request, the computer was placed in front of her, unlocked.
Di Mingjue sat beside Jiang Ziyu, watching her type on the keyboard with fluid movements.
“Do you need help?” he asked concernedly.
Jiang Ziyu was fully focused on cracking the watch and had no time to respond to Di Mingjue.
Time ticked by, and as numbers continuously appeared on the screen, those around her became curious, leaning in to gaze at the screen.
“Mr. Di.” The servant came downstairs, sweating. Before she could speak, she heard Jiang Ziyu.
“36 Hai Guang Street.” Jiang Ziyu moved the screen in front of Di Mingjue.
A red dot appeared on the map, indicating the watch’s location.
Di Mingjue and Jiang Ziyu exchanged a look. They had a telepathic understanding and simultaneously stood up from the sofa.
Disregarding Lu Sisi’s attempts to hold them back, Di Mingjue got into the driver’s seat, and Jiang Ziyu nimbly moved to the passenger seat. They didn’t take anyone else with them and quickly drove towards the location shown on the map.
…
In a dilapidated building, a man was cursing as he ate snacks and drank small bottles of wine.
“You’re quite valuable, aren’t you? If I’d known Di Mingjue was so willing to spend, I would have asked for more.” The man took a sip of wine and grumbled at Qianqian, who was bound tightly to a chair.
The reason for kidnapping Qianqian was thanks to someone slipping him a note. He thought it was a joke, but he didn’t expect to actually encounter Di Mingjue’s so-called daughter on the street.
He pinched a peanut with his fingers, holding a wine bottle in the other hand and pouring wine into his cup. Seeing that Qianqian ignored him, the man unhappily picked up a peanut and threw it at her.
The peanut hit her directly between the eyebrows, and Qianqian looked at his fierce expression with fear.
“Drink some?” The man staggered towards Qianqian with the wine bottle. Seeing her radiating resistance, he suddenly had a wicked idea.
He pulled the gag from Qianqian’s mouth and immediately shoved the bottle opening into it. The bottom of the bottle was forcefully lifted upwards, and a mouthful of cold, fiery wine was poured into Qianqian’s mouth.
“Cough, cough…” Qianqian’s cheeks turned red. The sudden spiciness made her throat extremely uncomfortable.
As she coughed, all the wine that had been forced down was spat out. The man thought she was doing it intentionally and angrily grabbed Qianqian’s chin.
Under his violent actions, Qianqian was forced to drink a few mouthfuls of strong liquor.
“Damn, you really know how to pick your parents, having such a rich father.” The man sat on the ground, looking at Qianqian with envy and resentment.
“Tell your father to send the money over quickly, or I’ll take your life.”
The phone was dialed, and the man placed the phone in front of Qianqian.
Her throat couldn’t make any sound, and Qianqian looked at the drunken man in terror.
Di Mingjue, who was driving, saw the phone suddenly ring and immediately pressed the answer button.
There was no sound from the other end, so he couldn’t help but ask, “Hello, I have the money ready. Where should I put it?”
“Speak, tell him to prepare more,” the man urged, pushing Qianqian’s arm.
Jiang Ziyu, in the passenger seat, sensed something was wrong. She glanced at Di Mingjue and tentatively said into the phone, “Five million is ready, and an additional five million has been prepared. As long as you tell us your location now, a hundred million in cash can appear before you immediately.”
