"Go back and call them too!"
Shen Lin walked out of the hospital building, carrying Di Jianhan's order with a sense of helplessness.
The car was still parked at the entrance, but his legs felt like they were cast in lead, so heavy he could barely move forward.
How should he start the conversation?
Just as Shen Lin was contemplating what to do, Di Mingjue rolled down the car window, looking at him with questioning eyes.
Shen Lin took small steps and appeared by the car. He squatted in a horse stance, his cheeks level with the window, "Mr. Di, the chairman has something to tell you and asked me to bring you up."
"Get in," Di Mingjue said.
He couldn't go against the bigger power, especially since Di Mingjue was his real boss. He opened the car door and got into the passenger seat. Before the car started, Shen Lin deliberately looked up at the revolving doors of the hospital lobby.
More than ten minutes later, the car stopped at the entrance of the Di residence.
"Young Master is back."
The servants in the yard informed the old lady inside the house.
The old lady, leaning on her cane, came out excitedly to greet him.
"How is your father doing?"
"He's doing well."
Di Mingjue helped the old lady back to the front hall, his eyes searching for Jiang Ziyu.
"Where is that girl? Did you find her?" the old lady continued to ask.
Di Mingjue, not wanting to talk about others, asked, "Where is Ziyu?"
"She's accompanying Qianqian to a parent-child event at kindergarten," the old lady informed him.
Since her previous question didn't receive a response, her curiosity was put aside.
Seeing that Jiang Ziyu was not at home, Di Mingjue, who had just returned, told the old lady that he was going out.
He came to the yard, and the person he was looking for happened to appear at the entrance.
Jiang Ziyu, holding Qianqian's hand, walked in happily, one big and one small.
"Qianqian," Di Mingjue looked tenderly at the two of them.
Releasing her hand, Qianqian ran forward excitedly.
"Grandma said you went to a parent-child event at kindergarten, did it end so quickly?" Di Mingjue asked.
The parent-child event was just an excuse; in reality, she hadn't seen Xiao Ran and Yu Ze for a long time, so she took Qianqian to visit them.
Jiang Ziyu nodded, giving a perfunctory answer to his inquiry.
"Are you tired?" Di Mingjue asked, seeing her lack of enthusiasm and tired expression.
"Qianqian missed you last night when you weren't back. Since you're here, spend more time with her," Jiang Ziyu said, glancing at Qianqian in his arms who knew nothing. "I'm a bit sweaty, I'm going upstairs to wash up."
Watching her leave, Di Mingjue lowered his head and held Qianqian's shoulders, making her look into his eyes. "Daddy did something wrong and made Mommy unhappy. Do you want to help me, Qianqian?"
Of course!
Qianqian nodded.
Di Mingjue smiled with satisfaction and leaned down, whispering his plan into her ear.
When it came to cooperation, no one could match the bond of blood. Di Mingjue only had to say it once, and Qianqian immediately understood.
She went to the room upstairs and carefully approached the bathroom door.
Jiang Ziyu stood in the bathroom, lost in thought, gazing at the mirror.
Everything before her seemed to pass like a revolving image; things she had decided upon were once again shaken.
Would a life without support be happy?
Qianqian knocked on the glass door, drawing Jiang Ziyu's attention.
She opened the door, tilting her small head and looking expectantly at Jiang Ziyu, who was fully dressed and had not yet washed up.
"What's wrong?"
Qianqian held up the notebook in her hand.
[Daddy has a headache, he's feeling very unwell.]
Likely due to his eyes causing the headache, Jiang Ziyu, upon learning of his condition, immediately took Qianqian downstairs.
At this moment, Di Mingjue was sitting on the sofa, his fingers continuously rubbing his temples. Seemingly unable to bear it, his brows were furrowed into an inverted V.
"Qianqian said you have a headache, where exactly does it hurt?" Jiang Ziyu walked to Di Mingjue's side and touched the spot he was massaging.
Di Mingjue gritted his teeth, painfully grasping her hand and pulling her arm to place it on his chest. "Here."
