Chapter 466 Heavenly Net

Leaving the ward, what if that person entered again?

Jiang Ziyu grabbed Di Mingjue's arm, her forward steps abruptly halted.

Following Jiang Ziyu's gaze towards the hospital bed, Ah Qiang, who had been in a coma, actually sat up from the bed.

"Miss? Miss?" Ah Qiang called out to Jiang Ziyu in disbelief.

Ever since she started school, Ah Qiang had been responsible for picking her up and dropping her off. They had spent nearly as much time together as they had been apart. Everyone had changed, yet they could still recognize each other at first glance.

"Is your body feeling better?" Jiang Ziyu asked.

Ah Qiang nodded and reached out to lift the covers, stepping down from the bed. He had multiple fractures, and even moving made him feel like he had lost half his life.

Jiang Ziyu stepped forward to support his arm and helped him back onto the hospital bed. "The car accident caused multiple fractures. If you don't want to spend the rest of your life in bed, then lie down properly."

Upon hearing that he might be paralyzed, Ah Qiang dared not move again. He lay obediently on the bed, feeling immense guilt when he met Jiang Ziyu's gaze.

Back then, he had been foolishly swayed by Jiang Wenbin's money. Knowing that Lu Yuman would be in an accident when she drove out, he had turned a blind eye to his conscience, took the money, left the Jiang family, and returned to Qingshan Village. It seemed heaven disapproved of his actions, for though he briefly possessed money, he never obtained what he truly desired. xxs a

Ah Qiang lowered his head, too ashamed to meet Jiang Ziyu's eyes.

His sudden awakening also caused them to change their plans. Di Mingjue arranged for Shen Lin to come over. Disguised, Shen Lin would impersonate Ah Qiang lying in the hospital bed, while the real Ah Qiang would be taken away.

Everything was being carried out in secrecy. It remained to be seen if the fishing net they cast would catch the big fish.

Late at night.

Darkness shrouded the hospital, and the number of nurses at the resting station decreased from four to two.

In the corridor, a man in heavy disguise appeared at the door of room 430. He lowered the brim of his baseball cap, cautiously opening the door. Slipping through the gap, he entered the room.

He had confirmed the room was empty before entering, and his gaze immediately locked onto the hospital bed.

In the quiet room, only faint breathing could be heard. The man tiptoed to the bedside. Ensuring someone was lying in the bed, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a syringe.

The syringe had already been filled with liquid. He raised his arm, inserting the needle into the IV drip line. After injecting the entire tube of liquid, the man withdrew the needle and concealed the syringe in his sleeve.

Before turning to leave, the man glanced once more at the lump under the covers on the hospital bed.

Taking a step forward, a crisp sound suddenly came from behind him. Sensing something was amiss, the man lowered his head and quickened his pace.

He had guarded against what was behind him but not what was in front. The moment the man entered the room, Jiang Ziyu had emerged from her hiding place and headed towards the room. During the time he was injecting the liquid, Jiang Ziyu had arrived.

The door opened from the outside, and the dim hospital room was instantly illuminated.

With a tiger in front and wolves behind, the man was caught in the middle with no chance of escape.

Under the light, the man forcefully pulled down his cap. He cocked his ear, listening to footsteps approaching from behind, and stared at the shoes that were increasingly coming into view before him.

"You can't escape. Take off your hat and tell me who ordered you, and I'll consider letting you go." Jiang Ziyu stared at the man's hat, trying to find a way to remove it.

Sensing an approaching hand, the man pulled out the syringe he had hidden in his sleeve and swung his arm, pointing the needle at Jiang Ziyu.

"Be careful!"

Di Mingjue pulled Jiang Ziyu away just in time.

The needle whizzed past his face, narrowly missing Jiang Ziyu.

Seeing Di Mingjue appear before him, the man, with a desperate resolve, raised the needle and lunged at him.
