Chapter 447 The Interrupted Wedding

The fireworks around their ears gradually ceased, and after a brief moment of quiet, soothing music enveloped the yacht.

Di Mingjue released Jiang Ziyu, holding the ring in his hands as he knelt on one knee before her.

"Mingjue?" Jiang Ziyu looked at him, surprised.

"Although we are already legally married, we never had the ceremony. When you married me, it was just a simple formality. At that time, I didn't know you were the person I had been searching for years. Now that we have overcome hardships and achieved our happy ending, I want to give you the best in the world." Di Mingjue raised the ring and, with deep emotion, asked Jiang Ziyu the most important question, "Jiang Ziyu, marry me!"

As the music reached its crescendo, the children, dressed in princess dresses and suits, walked out from the crowd carrying flower baskets.

Jiang Ziyu covered her mouth, her eyes filled with emotion. She finally understood what Di Mingjue had been so diligently working on these past few days.

It was all for her, to surprise her.

With tears in her eyes, Jiang Ziyu extended her finger. "I do, I will marry you."

Her happiness was undeniable. Di Mingjue gently slipped the ring onto Jiang Ziyu's finger. He stood up, walked to her, and whispered by her ear, "I will protect you for a lifetime. No matter what, you will always be my beloved princess."

Her eyes glistening, Jiang Ziyu stood on her tiptoes and initiated a kiss on Di Mingjue's lips.

The kiss deepened, and amidst the excited applause of everyone present, Jiang Ziyu and Di Mingjue looked like a princess and a prince.

The proposal ceremony proceeded smoothly, followed by the grand wedding ceremony.

Shen Lin, impeccably dressed in a suit, acted as the officiant. Holding the microphone, he read the prepared speech with great feeling to Jiang Ziyu and Di Mingjue.

Following the music, Jiang Ziyu hooked her arm through Di Mingjue's, with the children trailing behind, scattering flower petals. The family of five walked forward happily.

Midway through the ceremony, a helicopter suddenly appeared above the ship. A strong downdraft toppled the flower arrangements on the deck, forcing the ongoing wedding to a halt.

Everyone looked up at the helicopter as it gradually descended and hovered above the deck. A ladder slid down from the entrance, and a man emerged.

As he steadied himself, the helicopter ascended, and the noisy disturbance disappeared.

"Who are you?"

The man who had appeared unexpectedly was dressed in an expensive suit, and his demeanor exuded an aura vastly different from that of an ordinary person.

Di Mingjue studied him carefully but couldn't recognize him.

"This is a paternity test. You'll understand who I am once you look at it." Ye Qianzhi handed the file bag to Jiang Ziyu.

Compelled to take it, Jiang Ziyu truly didn't understand the relevance of this paternity test to her.

She and Di Mingjue opened it together, and the results fell out. After glancing at the conclusion at the bottom, their eyes fixed on the near-perfect percentage, Jiang Ziyu looked uneasily at Di Mingjue. Their gazes slowly moved upwards.

The names listed were Jiang Ziyu and Ye Qianzhi.

"I was your mother's first love, and you are the child of your mother and me." Ye Qianzhi spoke again.

In such a short time, a man had suddenly appeared, telling her that her biological father was not Jiang Wenbin but Ye Qianzhi. Jiang Ziyu shoved the paper with the results back into the bag.

"I'm sorry, I cannot trust your words." Jiang Ziyu returned the file bag.

How could she know if these results were true or false, coming from someone she had never met or even heard of before?

Facing her skepticism, Ye Qianzhi showed no signs of anger. He took out his wallet from his pocket, opened it, and produced a worn, yellowed photograph.

"You may not know me, but you surely recognize your mother."
