"Your eyes are a little red. You've been too busy lately; you need to relax and rest appropriately," Jiang Ziyu reminded him.
Di Mingjue nodded and placed his palm on her face. "Okay, after I finish this pile of documents at the company today, I'll take a few days off and spend time with you and the children at home."
"It's not about spending time with us, it's about you needing to rest properly," Jiang Ziyu corrected him.
The two of them walked out of the room arm in arm. Lu Sisi, like a ghost, appeared silently behind them.
"Brother Mingjue," Lu Sisi trotted up and stood intimately on Di Mingjue's other side.
With Di Mingjue between them, Jiang Ziyu glanced at Lu Sisi out of the corner of her eye.
"Sister Ziyu, was your back not scalded by the water yesterday?" Lu Sisi deliberately brought up the sensitive topic.
Her words reminded Di Mingjue. He had been with the old lady all night and had forgotten to ask. He stopped and placed his palm on her lower back, feeling it. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, the water was cold," Jiang Ziyu replied. "What about you? Is your wrist okay? If you're uncomfortable, you don't have to help Grandma bathe tonight; I can do it for you."
Seeing that her plan was about to be ruined, Lu Sisi quickly showed her wrist. "It's fine, a night's rest will fix it. Sister Ziyu still needs to take care of three children, so I'll take care of Grandma."
"Then I'll trouble you," Jiang Ziyu withdrew her gaze and pulled Di Mingjue downstairs.
Lu Sisi let out a sigh of relief, patting her rapidly beating chest.
After breakfast, Di Mingjue went to the company. Jiang Ziyu also took the three children out.
Lu Sisi watched as the vast Di mansion was left with only her. She unceremoniously entered Di Mingjue's room. Touching the ornaments, she sat before the vanity. Looking at the bottles and jars on it, she opened one and brought it to her nose to smell.
Disdainfully, she threw it on the table and turned to look at the bed behind her. Drawn by an irresistible urge, she walked over, glanced at the door, and bent down to lie on it.
In a perverted manner, she caressed Di Mingjue's pillow, burying her face in it to sniff his scent.
After tonight, this room would belong to her.
She rolled around on the bed and then opened the closet. A large portion of it was filled with expensive clothes, most of which the old lady had bought for Jiang Ziyu at the beginning.
Enviously, Lu Sisi flipped through them and took out a dress. It had a deep V neckline and a floor-length hem. She removed it from the hanger, folded it, and tucked it under her arm.
She tidied up the areas she had touched and returned to her room with the dress. This dress would be her battle attire tonight.
Flattening out the wrinkles on the dress, Lu Sisi hung it in her closet.
The company matters were handled quickly, and Di Mingjue returned to the Di mansion in the afternoon.
"Brother Mingjue?" Lu Sisi was sitting on the sofa eating fruit and wearing a face mask. Hearing footsteps, she turned to see Di Mingjue, who wasn't supposed to be back at this hour.
Di Mingjue glanced upstairs and asked, "How was Grandma today?"
"Yes, I just checked on her. Grandma just ate some porridge and has fallen asleep," Lu Sisi removed her face mask, walked around the sofa, and approached Di Mingjue.
Putting his mind at ease, Di Mingjue looked at Lu Sisi. For some reason, he felt she was a little unusual today. However, his eyes were hurting badly, and he didn't have the mental capacity to notice.
Watching Di Mingjue go upstairs with her own eyes, Lu Sisi immediately rushed to Di Jianhan's room, and the two decided to advance their plan.
Emerging from the room, Lu Sisi nervously went to the kitchen. After warming a cup of milk, she glanced behind her and, trembling, took a white bottle from her pocket.
Fearing that the effect of the medicine wouldn't be enough, Lu Sisi ignored Di Jianhan's reminder and poured the entire powder into the cup.
She threw the bottle into the trash can, then tore off some kitchen paper and threw it into the trash can to cover it, before taking chopsticks to stir the contents of the cup.
