Chapter 317 Shedding the Pursuers

"Alright, stop looking so dejected," Di Mingjue said, easing her awkwardness. "Do whatever you want, as long as you tell me your plan and ensure your own safety."

"Okay." Jiang Ziyu nodded in agreement, genuinely convinced.

Di Mingjue had an international conference that afternoon, so Jiang Ziyu left Di Jue Group with Qianqian.

Her plan was to visit Yuze and Xiaoran before returning to the Di residence, but the thought was abandoned when a vehicle started following them from behind.

Jiang Ziyu constantly observed the approaching and receding car in the rearview mirror, noting it maintained a consistent distance.

"Stop at the front mall entrance."

"Understood."

Following Jiang Ziyu's instructions, the driver switched from the main central road to the adjacent side road. After driving normally for a short distance, the car stopped at the mall entrance.

There weren't many people in the mall on a weekday. Jiang Ziyu instructed the driver to wait for her at another exit before getting out with Qianqian.

She deliberately glanced back at the pursuing car, feigning ignorance as she entered the mall.

Behind them, the car that had been following them stopped by the roadside. Eyes fixed on the mall entrance, watching the minutes tick by, the person inside only opened the car door and walked into the mall after confirming they wouldn't be discovered.

Although the mall wasn't crowded, it was still difficult to track someone in such a vast space.

The man entered the mall and found himself momentarily disoriented as he looked at the various floors.

It seemed he had lost her!

Emerging from another exit of the mall, Jiang Ziyu turned back with a smile. Trying to follow her? They were still too inexperienced.

The driver took her to the residence where Yuze and Xiaoran lived. She told the driver to leave, stating she would take a taxi back to the Di residence.

Since moving back to the Di residence, she hadn't seen Yuze and Xiaoran for quite some time.

Having informed the housekeeper in advance of her visit, she found Yuze and Xiaoran already sitting expectantly on the sofa in her house.

"Mommy!"

The moment the door opened, two voices called out simultaneously.

Jiang Ziyu embraced them both, lowering her head to kiss their cheeks. "Have you been listening to Uncle Mu lately?"

"Yes," Xiaoran answered first. "Uncle Mu even took us to the amusement park twice."

Yuze showed Jiang Ziyu photos from their trip to the amusement park.

Mu Liangchen was like a father figure to them, and the two little ones trusted and relied on him deeply. In the photos, they looked like devoted guardians, flanking Mu Liangchen.

Seeing the smiles on their faces, Jiang Ziyu's worries began to ease.

"Uncle Mu is also very busy with his work every day. Don't cling to him too much," Jiang Ziyu reminded them.

They nodded quickly, though their expressions seemed a little perfunctory.

However, considering their young age and their need for both emotional and physical companionship, Jiang Ziyu didn't nag further. Watching the three children play together intimately, she felt a sense of happiness.

Xiaoran glanced at Jiang Ziyu's location, then cupped his palm over Qianqian's ear and whispered something. Qianqian picked up a nearby paper and pen.

"Really?"

Upon seeing the content, even Yuze inquired in astonishment.

Qianqian nodded, her pen flowing smoothly across the paper.

"Daddy confessed his feelings to Mommy. He wants Mommy to be with him forever. And Daddy asked me to help him pursue Mommy."

Xiaoran let out a yelp of joy. He excitedly rolled on the carpet, shaking Qianqian. "That's great! Once they get together, we can live with you guys too."

He was already envisioning their future life together, eager to showcase all his talents to Di Mingjue and earn his praise.

"What's all this excitement about?" Jiang Ziyu asked, carrying a fruit platter, looking curiously at Xiaoran who was rolling and jumping on the floor. Placing the platter on the coffee table, she reached out and patted his backside, reminding him, "Don't kick your brother."
