Chapter 284 Dining at the Restaurant

Jiang Ziyu saw someone talking to her and reached out to pass the plate.

"What's wrong with you?" The woman used her plate to push away Jiang Ziyu's, glaring at the woman serving food.

The woman wielding the ladle was not one to back down. She pointed to the woman's spot in line and said, "Take a good look, are you even in the queue?"

"I was leaning forward," the woman said, forcing Jiang Ziyu to step back and then aggressively cutting in front of her.

With the argument up front, the employees rushing to order food behind them grew impatient.

A murmur of unrest rippled through the crowd, accompanied by soft complaints.

Jiang Ziyu wasn't one to shy away from trouble, but she also couldn't be bothered to argue. She gestured for the other woman to be served first, her eyes fixed on the food, contemplating what to order.

The woman, emboldened, raised her eyebrows at Jiang Ziyu in a challenging manner.

"Please give me this, and this," Jiang Ziyu ignored her provocation and pointed at the food above.

Likely because she was more likable than the woman beside her, the server gave her a generous portion.

Jiang Ziyu held her plate, almost unable to lift it. She glanced ahead, then cautiously observed the food in her plate.

She completely failed to notice a foot reaching out from below.

Clatter~

"Ouch!"

The plate fell, and the woman cried out in displeasure. Her white skirt was stained with brown soy sauce. She lifted her hem and exclaimed, "My limited edition skirt, do you know how expensive this is?"

As she spoke, the woman glanced at Jiang Ziyu and said with a hint of envy, "Does it suit you?"

Jiang Ziyu was dressed simply today, but her clothes were no less expensive than the woman's.

She turned her head to look at the woman beside her who was secretly chuckling while watching the spectacle. Jiang Ziyu pointed back at her, "You find her to compensate, she did it."

Caught in the spotlight, the woman with yellow hair took offense. She indignantly retorted, "You're slandering me! I'm so far away from her, how could I have possibly bumped into her!"

Her tears began to fall like a vast ocean, as easily as they could appear.

The strong-willed Jiang Ziyu standing beside her made her seem unusually malicious.

Jiang Ziyu had seen plenty of overly dramatic performances since childhood; she was so used to them, it felt like she'd weathered old bark on young shoots.

Jiang Ziyu lowered her head, pointed at the woman's feet, and recounted the entire incident word for word.

"You... you're spouting lies!" The woman with yellow hair, not expecting her to be so clear, nervously argued.

The commotion grew louder, and more people gathered around. The employees dining in the restaurant came from different departments, and some were not yet aware of Jiang Ziyu's identity.

Seeing an argument during their break was a form of entertainment and relaxation for them. Someone, seizing the opportunity in the tightly packed crowd, took out their phone and snapped a photo, sending it to the work group chat.

The photo spread rapidly, reaching even those employees who weren't dining in the company cafeteria.

"This woman is too much, she stained someone's clothes and then blamed them."

"Buddy, do you know who she is?"

"Just a company employee, who else could she be."

Upon hearing his response, the people in the chat erupted.

"Ignorance is bliss!"

"This is our President's wife, if President Di saw what you just said, you'll be fired!"

The woman with yellow hair noticed that everyone's phones were making sounds almost simultaneously, and they were all looking down. She couldn't help but open her own phone.

As soon as she entered the main company chat, hundreds of messages flooded in.

She saw only four words: 'President's wife'!

The person in front of her was President Di's wife!

Before the woman with yellow hair could even react, Di Mingjue walked over.

The people huddled together were like a cabbage, being plucked one by one from the outside, leaving only the core within.

"What happened?" Di Mingjue asked Jiang Ziyu.

The onlookers dared not crowd closer. They held their plates, and without regard for whether they had food, they sat down at the nearest tables.
