Chapter 245 Leading Back Memories

Di Mingjue looked at the bright red fruit, coldly refusing.

After suffering once, would he fall for it a second time?

Seeing his aversion, Jiang Ziyu forcefully stuffed the fruit into his hand.

"It's sweet."

Di Mingjue threw the fruit back onto the plate. "Do you think I'll believe you again?"

"Hmph, believe it or not," Jiang Ziyu picked up the fruit he had just discarded and, in retaliation, took a forceful bite in front of him.

The fruit was crisp. After a bite, the juice spurted out.

"Mr. Di, the seal is here."

Before he arrived, Shen Lin's panting voice drifted in.

Jiang Ziyu haphazardly finished the rest in her mouth. The juice entered her throat too quickly, and she coughed incessantly.

A little girl ran behind Jiang Ziyu, tiptoed, and gently patted her back.

"Auntie, are you feeling better?"

Hearing such a soft voice, Jiang Ziyu responded gently, "Much better, thank you."

The girl withdrew her hand and immediately ran back to the group of children from behind Jiang Ziyu.

Listening to the direction of the footsteps, Jiang Ziyu looked at the little girl who had just patted her back.

Upon closer inspection, the child surprisingly resembled her a little.

"The seal is here, what exactly do you want to do?" Di Mingjue asked, touching the seal.

Jiang Ziyu took out the prepared paper and pen, crouched on the ground, and leaned on the table. After writing, she took the finished paper and handed it to the village chief. "We've made a guarantee. If it's possible, we can sign it."

The village chief was not very literate. He turned to Huang Shan beside him for help.

"You can sign," Huang Shan told the village chief.

With that said, the village chief extended his finger, dipped it in red ink, and pressed his fingerprint on the paper.

Immediately after, Jiang Ziyu signed her name and pressed her fingerprint where the village chief had left his.

This written contract, in essence, replaced the contract the village chief had provided and served as their assurance.

With some information, they drove back towards the city center.

After a journey of nearly an hour, they arrived in the city center. Instead of going home, they went directly to the company.

Having been away for a day and a night, Di Dongsheng was curious about where Di Mingjue had gone. Unfortunately, the people he had sent out could not find any information. Just as he was about to send out more people to investigate, the dispatched individuals informed him that he had already returned to the company.

"Go and inform him to come to my office right now," Di Mingjue instructed Shen Lin, who was beside him, as they took the elevator upstairs.

Di Dongsheng also wanted to see him. Before Shen Lin could go, he was already waiting outside the office door.

"Cousin, where did you go? I've been looking for you for a day and a night." Di Dongsheng looked at the three of them. He glanced at Jiang Ziyu beside him with a hint of teasing.

Shen Lin stepped forward first and pushed the door open. Jiang Ziyu pushed Di Mingjue past him.

His question was thus ignored by everyone.

Di Dongsheng turned to look behind him, gritted his teeth, and walked in with heavy steps. xxs1

As soon as he reached Di Mingjue's side, a document was thrown in front of him.

"What is this?" Di Dongsheng asked.

Di Mingjue raised an eyebrow and gestured, "Open it and take a look."

Flipping open the cover, a single glance brought back memories for Di Dongsheng.

How did he know about this matter!

Guiltily closing the document, he questioned with a self-righteous tone, "I don't understand why you're showing me this?"

"You should be familiar with a person named Huang Shan," Di Mingjue said, taking out a photo of Huang Shan from his pocket and placing it on the table.

He couldn't quite recall the name, but the person in the photo was unforgettable.

Even though he knew, Di Dongsheng still pretended to be unaware. "An employee of Di Jue Group before? The company has too many employees, I can't quite remember."

Rubbing his temples, he tried hard to recall.

"Put the person and the content of the document together, and then think again," Di Mingjue reminded him.
