Chapter 258 Disdain from Kin

Leaving the Wu Group, Di Ruihe was filled with unwillingness. Why did something so simple become so difficult for him?

After much thought, he drove home.

"Where did you go?"

As soon as he entered the door, Di Jiancheng appeared before him.

At the family banquet, he had deliberately made things difficult for Di Mingjue, displeasing the old lady, which resulted in him being ignored by everyone at home except for the servants.

With nothing to do, he called Di Ruihe, but his calls went unanswered.

"I was out on business," Di Ruihe said, his mood low, as he walked towards the front hall.

It wasn't even noon, and Di Jiancheng was chasing after him, asking, "Aren't you going to the company?"

"No." Entering the front hall, Di Ruihe slumped onto the sofa in defeat.

Di Jiancheng squeezed next to him, "Why?"

A hundred why's?

Listening to the repeated inquiries, his already bad mood became even more irritable.

He reached out, pulled a cushion, rested his neck against the back of the sofa, and covered his face with the firm pillow.

Seeing his pathetic state, Di Jiancheng reprimanded him with dissatisfaction, "Why do you have no fighting spirit? Can't you learn from your brother?"

Taking the pillow off, Di Ruihe stared at him sinisterly, "Learn from him, and get yourself killed abroad, making it impossible to return?"

Everyone loved Di Dongsheng, who was bold and decisive, but he was a person who did things with extreme caution. He couldn't learn it, and he didn't want to.

Seeing Di Jiancheng so angry that he wanted to raise his hand to discipline him, Di Ruihe threw the pillow aside and lazily got up from the sofa.

"You scoundrel, with this attitude, you'll never get above Di Mingjue and will live under his pressure your entire life."

His response was the sound of a door slamming shut. Wu Xuerou, who had just entered, was startled.

"Dad," she called out.

Seeing Wu Xuerou with Xiao Shan, Di Jiancheng's attitude changed. He reached out and called, "Xiao Shan, come to Grandpa."

Xiao Shan looked at Wu Xuerou with apprehension.

"Go ahead."

With Wu Xuerou's permission, Xiao Shan finally walked over.

This action instantly displeased Di Jiancheng. Looking at Xiao Shan, who had come before him, he didn't feel as fond of him.

"Didn't you go to school today?" he asked coldly.

Seeing this, Xiao Shan's lips sealed tightly, and he became speechless again.

"Dad, it's the weekend today, kindergarten is closed," Wu Xuerou quickly replied.

Di Jiancheng's interest waned. He let go of Xiao Shan and nodded in agreement, "I see."

Sensing his coldness, Xiao Shan turned away from him and walked to Wu Xuerou's side.

"Xiao Shan, what's wrong with you? Why aren't you talking to Grandpa?" Wu Xuerou chided.

Although Di Jiancheng had left when the child was too young to remember, blood ties were still there. The first time Xiao Hai saw Di Jiancheng, he clung to him and wouldn't let go.

Why was it that with him, it was like seeing a ghost?

Wu Xuerou tugged at Xiao Shan's arm and pushed his shoulder, "Hurry up and apologize to Grandpa!"

Di Jiancheng listened, waiting for Xiao Shan to come over.

But the more they pushed, the more resistant Xiao Shan became.

He pulled Wu Xuerou's arm forcefully, refusing to let go no matter what.

"Forget it, don't force him," Di Jiancheng said unhappily, stopping them. "He's just like his father, timid and fearful. He won't be able to accomplish anything great in the future!"

The child didn't understand the meaning of the words, but he knew they were speaking ill of him.

Xiao Shan's mouth turned down, and he began to cry loudly.

"What's wrong with you, child!" Wu Xuerou's temper flared instantly.

The more she shouted, the louder Xiao Shan cried.

"Shut up, or I'll hit you!"

As he raised his hand, Di Ruihe rushed down from upstairs. Picking up Xiao Shan, he reached out and slapped Wu Xuerou's hand away.

"This child needs to be disciplined!" Wu Xuerou said angrily.
