Chapter 128 The East Suburb Project

Di Dongsheng returned to the capital, ostensibly for overseas branches, but in reality, he wanted to stay at the headquarters and contend for the position of CEO with Di Mingjue.

Following Di Ruihe to the company, he first paid a visit to employees who had previously worked under him.

It is said that to eradicate weeds, one must uproot them, but Di Mingjue had not completely expelled the employees under Di Dongsheng from the company.

"President Di." Employee Fang Ze greeted Di Dongsheng habitually.

Di Dongsheng did not correct him. In his heart, he believed that he would eventually regain his position as the head of the Di family.

He patted Fang Ze's shoulder in a friendly manner and looked at the documents on his desk, "How have things been recently?"

"Quite good," Fang Ze replied.

He was currently in a project team and, by virtue of his own abilities, was doing quite well. His colleagues respected him, and the team leader also thought highly of him.

However, Fang Ze knew that in Di Mingjue's mind, another member of their project team was more valued by him.

"Are you returning to work in the country?" Fang Ze asked with anticipation.

Di Dongsheng did not respond directly. He lowered his head, picked up a document from the desk, and flipped through it, looking at the black characters on the white paper.

"The East Suburb project?" Di Dongsheng murmured.

The East Suburb was a government-supported project in the capital, and Di Jue Group was specifically endorsed by the mayor. Di Dongsheng had learned about this while abroad, which was why he had returned so urgently.

If the project were to be initiated by him, it would grant him a certain degree of influence within the Di family. Even if the old lady insisted on passing the position of family head to Di Mingjue in the future, she would have to consider him.

Fang Ze nodded and proactively showed him the project plan.

The style was consistent with Di Mingjue's usual approach, and Di Dongsheng did not agree with the direction he favored.

"Take these two documents to be copied, and give me the copies later," Di Dongsheng instructed.

Looking at the documents handed to him, Fang Ze hesitated for a moment. Ultimately, he had no authority in the company. If Di Mingjue found out that he had acted on Di Dongsheng's instructions without prior notification, would he still be able to work at the company?

Recalling that his former colleagues had been dismissed, Fang Ze was reluctant to lose his current job.

"Should this be reported to President Di in advance?"

Di Dongsheng cast a cold glance at Fang Ze, staring at him, "What? Are you afraid I'll get you fired?"

Fang Ze shook his head and tried to explain, but his words could not completely dispel the suspicion.

Helpless, he had to comply with Di Dongsheng's request and took the documents to be copied.

With the copies, Di Dongsheng went to Di Mingjue's office.

"President Di is in a video conference. Is there anything I can help you with?" Shen Lin said politely to Di Dongsheng.

Di Dongsheng looked through the crack in the door at Di Mingjue speaking eloquently in front of the computer. Glancing at the sofa next to him, he said, "No need, I'll wait for him here."

With that, he walked over and sat on the sofa.

Seeing this, Shen Lin prepared a cup of coffee for him and then returned to his office to relay the matters outside to Di Mingjue.

The video conference lasted for nearly an hour. After it concluded, Shen Lin immediately went out to lead Di Dongsheng into the CEO's office.

Moving away from the computer, Di Mingjue looked at Di Dongsheng, "Is there something?"

He placed the copied documents on the desk and said, "I understand the company is in negotiations with the government for the East Suburb project. This is the proposal I just saw from the project team. I've taken a general look, and regarding the content of the proposal, I believe it's not suitable for this East Suburb project."

Di Mingjue flipped through the documents. He had reviewed them before, and the project team had received his approval for the project's direction.

He looked at Di Dongsheng, who was clearly unsatisfied, and asked with his arms crossed, with a hint of interest, "What are your thoughts?"

"Change it to a resort," Di Dongsheng said.

He had expected a more brilliant idea, but in the end, it was just a cliché proposal.
