"No," Xingxing excitedly stood up from the sofa. Without a moment's hesitation, he coldly refused, "I don't want to go to the amusement park."
The figure in front of him stood up as well. Ye Ziyu looked at Xingxing, who was reacting so strongly, with confusion. "If you're worried that Dad won't agree, I can actually help resolve your concerns."
Xingxing shook his head and resolutely moved away from the sofa. He didn't know how to refuse, so he could only use this awkward departure to convey his answer. However, Ye Ziyu, unable to grasp his inner thoughts, mistook his refusal as dislike.
What could be the reason?
Xingxing went upstairs. Ye Ziyu looked towards Di Mingjue and the children in the dining room. A hint of a sad smile played on her lips as she helplessly patted her knees and stood up from the sofa.
"If he's unwilling, don't force it. Everyone has their own thoughts. Forcing them will only make both parties too tired," Di Mingjue comforted her.
That was indeed the case, but she couldn't help but feel sad. When she saw Xingxing, she was reminded of Xiao Ran and the others, and her heart instinctively wanted to get closer to him, as if Xingxing were her own child.
Di Mingjue understood Ye Ziyu's thoughts and couldn't help but ask, "Could it be because of me?"
"Me?" Ye Ziyu didn't understand.
Had anything happened between them?
"If there's anyone he dislikes, Xingxing probably dislikes me the most. His indifference towards you might be because of me," Di Mingjue expressed his thoughts.
On the first day they arrived at the Ye residence, Xingxing had already shown his displeasure towards him. In their subsequent interactions, he discovered that Xingxing's dislike for him was not just ordinary; it seemed to carry a hint of hatred. As for the reason, he was unsure.
Ye Ziyu noticed that the children were all listening intently to their conversation with wide eyes, their curiosity piqued. She temporarily set aside her curiosity about Xingxing. "We need to eat quickly, otherwise we won't have much time to play at the amusement park later."
Upon hearing that their playtime might be shortened, the children's speed immediately increased.
Amusement Park.
"Mommy, I want to ride the roller coaster."
"I want to ride the carousel."
The children stood in the amusement park, looking at the various attractions, each expressing their desired rides.
Ye Ziyu was only one person. Who should she accompany?
"How about we take turns playing one by one?" Ye Ziyu suggested.
She thought the children would agree, but surprisingly, when it came to playing, no one agreed.
"No, the carousel isn't exciting at all. I want to ride the roller coaster, the pirate ship, and the go-karts," Xiao Ran said.
Qianqian, not to be outdone, immediately followed Xiao Ran's words, "Those are too scary, I'm afraid, I don't want to ride them."
Seeing that they were about to argue, Ye Ziyu glanced at Di Mingjue. The five of them would have to temporarily split into two small teams. After they had played all their desired rides, they would regroup to play the remaining ones.
Once the suggestion was made, no one objected. Ye Ziyu held Qianqian's hand and walked towards the carousel. Di Mingjue stayed put, accompanying Xiao Ran and Yu Ze to play the more thrilling rides.
When they were abroad, Xiao Ran always went for the thrill rides at amusement parks. Yu Ze, due to his illness, this was his first time.
Led by a staff member, he stood trembling on the high platform. He looked down and saw that the enormous structure below seemed like tiny ants in his gaze. Yu Ze quickly retreated, his legs shaking even more violently.
"Brother, don't be scared. Once we're in the seats, there will be safety restraints. It's just like being on an airplane. Just imagine yourself as a carefree little bird," Xiao Ran comforted Yu Ze.
He had ridden it so many times that he was already familiar with the feeling and had no fear.
Yu Ze nodded, grasping the hand that Xiao Ran extended.
