Chapter 1017 Her Wedding Dress Appearance

"But where will you hide tonight?" Ye Ziyu's eyes scanned the room.

Despite its size, there were few places one could truly conceal a person. He was too large to hide anywhere without being obvious.

Di Mingjue caressed the wedding dress in her hand. "Our wedding was interrupted. I've always felt I owed you a complete ceremony. Once everything is back to normal, I'll give you a new wedding." xxs1

Was this really the time to talk about that?

Ye Ziyu tossed the wedding dress onto the bed and, pulling Di Mingjue's arm, paced the room, searching for a place to hide him.

"Don't worry. Since I'm staying, I'll find a way to avoid Gu Xiuyu." Di Mingjue stopped Ye Ziyu, who was busily searching, and gently placed his hands on her shoulders, forcing her to sit on the sofa. "As for you, the expression on your face has already betrayed my presence. You need to compose yourself!"

Her heart pounded, so loud that even through her skin and clothes, anyone nearby could hear it. Ye Ziyu pressed her hand to her chest, feeling the frantic beat.

"From now on, you don't need to do anything. Just eat well, sleep well, and wait to leave here tomorrow." Di Mingjue stroked the back of Ye Ziyu's hand.

His words finally lifted the shackles from Ye Ziyu's spirit.

Her perseverance these past few days had been the right choice!

Time had passed quickly. Fearing Gu Xiuyu might find them, Ye Ziyu quickly changed into the wedding dress she had brought.

"Beautiful!" Di Mingjue leaned against the wall, unable to help but sigh.

He really didn't want Gu Xiuyu to see her like this. He lowered his arms, stepped in front of Ye Ziyu, and gazed at her exposed arms. His large hand enveloped hers. "This wedding dress is too revealing. Isn't there any more fabric?"

Was this considered revealing?

Ye Ziyu looked at herself in the full-length mirror. Apart from a section of her arm, all other skin was covered by fabric. "Stop joking. This is already the most modest one."

"I'm extremely jealous right now." Di Mingjue reached from behind and wrapped his arms around her slender waist, resting his chin playfully on her shoulder. "You're my wife, yet you have to wear a wedding dress to be seen by another man. It's so frustrating!"

Ye Ziyu reached back and stroked his hair. "Should I take it off then?"

"Okay." Di Mingjue readily agreed.

Even knowing it was a pretense, he still didn't want Ye Ziyu to wear the wedding dress where Gu Xiuyu could see her.

The wedding dress, once donned, was taken off again. Ye Ziyu changed back into her original clothes and then, carrying the wedding dress, walked out of the room.

Gu Xiuyu was still standing outside, absentmindedly staring at the small stones at his feet.

Approaching the floor-to-ceiling window, Ye Ziyu tapped on the glass.

Hearing the sound, Gu Xiuyu turned to look.

Ye Ziyu said nothing. She turned and walked to the sofa, dropping the heavy wedding dress onto it.

"Why didn't you wear it? Is it not suitable?" Gu Xiuyu inquired.

All the wedding dresses here were almost tailor-made to Ye Ziyu's measurements, so there shouldn't have been any issue with fit.

"It's fine. This one will do." Ye Ziyu replied.

Di Mingjue now knew her location, so there was no need to delay any further.

She agreed so readily?

Gu Xiuyu was somewhat surprised.

Ignoring his daze, Ye Ziyu turned and walked into the kitchen. "I'm hungry. When can we eat?"

"Soon. What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you." Gu Xiuyu eagerly followed her.

"Where is the housekeeper? I want to eat what she makes." Ye Ziyu looked at the empty kitchen and then back at Gu Xiuyu. "Also, I'm tired and want to eat in my room. When dinner is ready, just let me know, and I'll come down to get it."

Gu Xiuyu wanted to try and dissuade her from her current plan again, but Ye Ziyu turned and left.
