The mobile phone was handed over.
The clerk tapped into the homepage and, after briefly looking at the photos posted daily, said, "Yes, this account belongs to our shop. The account is currently managed by Xiao Wu."
"Xiao Wu?" Di Mingjue scanned the surroundings.
There was only one person in the store at the moment. Judging by her tone, this Xiao Wu was not present.
Di Mingjue inquired, "Could you please help me contact him? I have some questions to ask him."
"Xiao Wu is out on a shoot and won't be back until tomorrow at the earliest. Sir, if you'd like to inquire about wedding dresses, I can explain," the clerk said.
"Please give me his contact information." Di Mingjue's words were polite, yet they carried a sense of pressure.
Confused, the clerk, under his insistent pressure, wrote the number on a sticky note and handed it back to him.
Emerging from the bridal shop, Di Mingjue eagerly dialed the number.
The call was answered almost instantly.
"Hello, may I ask who is calling?"
"Di Mingjue."
There was a moment of silence on the other end, as if the person hadn't quite registered.
"President Di of Di Corporation?"
"Yes."
After the confirmation, another period of quiet followed.
After a long pause, the voice on the other end became much more excited, "May I ask what President Di needs me for? And how did you get my phone number?"
Sounds of shouting could be heard from the receiver. Just as the bridal shop clerk had said, he was out on a shoot.
Di Mingjue did not respond immediately. "Are you free to meet now? I need to ask you about a few things."
"Well, President Di, when you got my number, you should have known I'm out shooting and can't get back right away. How about tomorrow afternoon? I'll come back after I'm done and we can meet."
Tomorrow afternoon, that's still a whole day away. Di Mingjue couldn't wait, nor could he afford to.
"Where is the shooting location? I'll come find you," Di Mingjue pressed.
This sense of urgency made him extremely curious. What could a wealthy person like him possibly need help from an ordinary person like him for?
"Is it inconvenient?" Di Mingjue prompted.
There was nothing to hide about the location. Xiao Wu said, "No, I'll send you the address via text message shortly. Contact me when you arrive, President Di."
"Alright," Di Mingjue nodded.
The message arrived quickly. Di Mingjue looked at the distance, which was about three to four hours away.
He walked to the roadside, hailed a taxi, and headed towards Xiao Wu's location.
Chunjiang Villa.
The door opened from the outside, and three children stood in a neat row.
"Daddy!"
As soon as they spoke, disappointment flashed across their faces.
Ye Chenhan felt the difference in treatment and walked over displeased, "What, you're not happy to see me?"
"Uncle Xiao, where's Daddy?" Xiao Ran ran up to ask.
"Your Daddy isn't back?" his question reminded Ye Chenhan.
He had disappeared before his eyes. If he wasn't back, where could he have gone?
Ye Chenhan ignored the children's questions and took out his phone to call Di Mingjue again.
The current situation was not good, and acting alone was too dangerous.
"Hello, Mingjue, where are you going now?" Ye Chenhan asked urgently into the phone.
He was even more curious about what had happened that made him leave so abruptly without a word.
Di Mingjue looked at the tall buildings flashing by the window. "I'm going to Lin City to handle some matters. Help me look after the children. If nothing unexpected happens, I'll be back tomorrow morning."
"Lin City?" Ye Chenhan said, "What are you going there for? Could it be because you've heard news of Ziyu?"
"Yes," Di Mingjue nodded.
Ye Chenhan became excited. "What did you say? Where exactly is it? Tell me, I'll drive over there now."
"You don't need to come over, I've already arrived," Di Mingjue stopped him.
