Chapter 831 Throwing a Tantrum

Ye Chenhan, guessing he was still unaware of Xingxing's condition, pulled him along as they entered the elevator.

"Xingxing and Ziyu both had allergic reactions last night and were hospitalized. I only found out this morning when they looked for their mother, and I had no choice but to call Ye Ziyu."

It was strange, he had been coming to the hospital quite frequently lately. It seemed like every time, Ye Ziyu and Xingxing were together at the hospital.

Ye Shaoting feigned nervousness and asked, "Is it serious? No, Xingxing was at his Olympiad class. How could he be at home?"

Ye Chenhan didn't understand either.

Since Xingxing had been found to have an allergy at home, why hadn't Ye Shaoting been called before going to the hospital? Why did Di Mingjue have to take two sick children alone, which was tiring and inconvenient.

There was no time to explain; the elevator had already stopped at the ward floor.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, the children impatiently rushed out. Ye Chenhan called after them, but they didn't stop, running as fast as rabbits.

Pushing open the ward door, Xingxing's gaze skipped over everyone and landed on Ye Shaoting.

He should be angry!

Ye Shaoting anxiously went to Xingxing's bedside, stroked his cheek, and looked down to examine his body. "How did you get an allergy? Did you eat something unclean?"

Ye Ziyu watched Ye Shaoting's concern for Xingxing. Her suspicion towards him had turned into gratitude upon learning that Xingxing might be the fourth child. If he hadn't kindly adopted Xingxing, she didn't know where he would be living now, or what kind of life he would be leading.

"Brother, he ate hotpot with me yesterday. We both had an allergic reaction," Ye Ziyu said.

Her reply drew Ye Shaoting's attention. He turned and asked in an interrogative tone.

"I had my assistant send him to his Olympiad class yesterday. How could he have eaten hotpot with you? Or did he skip class?"

Ye Shaoting wasn't home when Ye Ziyu returned yesterday, so she forgot to inform him about the Olympiad class over the phone.

Now being questioned, Ye Ziyu was momentarily speechless, unsure where to begin her explanation.

Sensing the awkward atmosphere, Ye Chenhan stepped in as a peacemaker, standing between the two. "None of that is important. What's most important now is, how are you two doing?"

Ye Ziyu nodded. "The allergic reaction has subsided. We can be discharged this afternoon."

Ye Shaoting was very upset about Xingxing not being at his Olympiad class. After confirming they could be discharged, he immediately took Xingxing away from the hospital and once again had his assistant send him to the Olympiad class activity.

Upon learning the situation, Ye Ziyu went to the company to find Ye Shaoting.

Ye Shaoting was the one who adopted the children, and therefore the one with the most authority to discipline Xingxing. No matter what Ye Ziyu said, Ye Shaoting's stance was very firm.

"Ziyu, I don't understand what you're trying to do. But there's one thing I hope you can respect. Xingxing is my child, and we are legally recognized. You are merely a relative of the child," Ye Shaoting said sternly. "Since you came back, you've been interfering with my education of Xingxing. You said he was too introverted. Fine, respecting you as my half-sister, I carefully considered your concerns and enrolled Xingxing in Olympiad class activities. Now, you're telling me not to force him into socializing. I want to ask, what is truly suitable for him?"

Ye Ziyu was rendered speechless by his retort.

She hoped Xingxing would socialize and make more friends. However, his classmates at the Olympiad class ostracized him because he always maintained the top position, and she worried that Xingxing's heart would be hurt over time.

"That's enough, don't talk about Xingxing anymore. Since I adopted him, I will definitely raise him well. If you have time, you should worry about your own children."
