Chapter 824 Two Ice Creams

No parent in the world doesn't love their child; there are simply many ways to express that love, and they chose the most foolish one.

After Kang Kang ran out, he disappeared. The teachers at the advanced mathematics class opened all the surveillance videos. They could only see Kang Kang running out of the training center, and then there was no trace of him.

"I was wrong, Kang Kang, Mom was truly wrong..." Kang Kang's mother, having come back to her senses, was weeping profusely. She cried apologies as she followed the teachers in search of Kang Kang, her face filled with worry.

His ability to admit his mistake meant he wasn't a child without a good heart. His parents' upbringing had made him prone to jealousy, but deep down, he was still a child.

Ye Ziyu looked at Xingxing. "Should we help look for him?"

Xingxing nodded.

Although he usually didn't like playing with them, they were still classmates who attended the same classes. When Kang Kang wasn't involved in test results, he was quite lively and someone who enjoyed helping his classmates.

Ye Ziyu brought Xingxing to join the search for Kang Kang.

Outside the advanced mathematics class, traffic flowed like a river. Everyone held their breath, fearing Kang Kang might encounter danger.

"Xingxing, do you know where he usually likes to go?" Ye Ziyu asked.

Many scenes flashed through his mind, and Xingxing suddenly spoke, "There's a playground in front of the training center."

Once, after class, his driver hadn't arrived to pick him up yet. Xingxing had seen Kang Kang leading other children towards the playground. He had also incidentally overheard Kang Kang say that he liked to go there to watch people play thrilling games when he had nothing else to do. Unfortunately, his parents were very busy every day and never took him to play.

Ye Ziyu led Xingxing in the direction of the playground.

Before they even got close, they heard crying. Looking around, they found Kang Kang standing behind a large tree.

Ye Ziyu glanced down at Xingxing, and they approached the tree, one from the left and the other from the right.

"Kang Kang," Xingxing said, greeting him.

At this moment, Kang Kang no longer resembled a little bully. His face was streaked with tears, revealing his vulnerability, which surprisingly gave him a cute, contrasting charm.

"Go away!" Kang Kang roared.

He least wanted Xingxing to see him like this, fearing even more that Xingxing would tell other classmates about this scene. He felt ashamed!

Ye Ziyu emerged from behind Kang Kang, holding an ice cream she had bought after seeing him. She firmly placed it in Kang Kang's hand and said imperiously, "Boys shouldn't cry at the drop of a hat. If you have grievances, speak them out loud. After all, we have mouths not just for eating, but also for speaking. Don't forget their most effective function."

Hearing this, Kang Kang stared blankly at Ye Ziyu and the ice cream in his hand.

No one had ever said such things to him before. When guests visited, his parents always told him to speak less. When he was allowed to speak, it was either to greet guests or to showcase his knowledge.

Ye Ziyu handed the other ice cream in her hand to Xingxing, then took two tissues from her bag and placed one in each of their hands. "Eat them quickly, they'll melt soon."

It wasn't just Kang Kang; it was also Xingxing's first time eating ice cream sold at the entrance of the playground, standing right at the playground's entrance.

The two children exchanged glances, feeling the gentle breeze on their faces as they took small bites of their ice cream.

Ye Ziyu occasionally wiped the sweat from their foreheads and the melting ice cream from their hands. Passersby would have mistaken the two children in front of them for Ye Ziyu's own children.

After finishing the ice cream, Kang Kang's mood greatly improved. He looked enviously at Xingxing. "Your mom is so nice."

Mom?

Ye Ziyu smiled happily. She did indeed want to be Xingxing's mother.

However, Xingxing became subdued. He lowered his head and mumbled softly, "She's not my mom."
