Chapter 1 Anniversary

On August 23rd, I uploaded the prologue of *Champion of the Restricted Area*, and the next day I uploaded the first chapter, "Wedge."

Then a new journey began.

At that time, I was filled with anxiety and trepidation because the results of my previous book, *Legend of the Champion*, were not very good.

So I was very worried. I even thought that if I failed with two books in a row, I might have to consider changing my path...

But I was already married, I had a family, and I couldn't afford to lose. This book held great hope for me, but I didn't know what would become of it.

Before uploading, I did a lot of preparation. I discussed the character settings and outline with Mao Ni many times... I even argued with the editor about a small detail for a whole day, revising it countless times. After writing a few chapters, I showed them to my wife, and she was surprised: "Why isn't this the beginning I saw before?" I said, "Because I revised it again."

That's how it was. Finally, the day of the upload came. I pretended to be confident, but in reality, I was very unsure.

My first book to break ten thousand subscriptions, the first book to reach the top six on the monthly ticket chart, the first book to be featured twice on the homepage...

Many firsts were born.

In one year, I wrote 4.27 million words. My speed is getting faster and faster. It's hard to imagine that when I was writing *We Are the Champions*, I couldn't even write 60,000 words in a month... So pressure gives me motivation. Now I must work harder for my family.

I think in the days to come, I will use this attitude to contribute more good stories to everyone.

Chen Yingxiong's story won't last too long. I think it will end in October or November. Now I have to finish it while starting to think about a new book.
