Yesterday, Bai Niao called and asked which two teams I thought would win. I decisively picked the host team, Poland, and Russia.

In the end, the host team was forced to a draw, but Russia lived up to expectations and won.

I picked Russia because I'm writing *Forbidden Zone Lion*, so I know a little bit about Russian football. Plus, the names of many Russian players are particularly endearing, and... Zenit players in the Russian team had played alongside the Hero, while the players from other teams had been ravaged by the Hero, which was greatly beneficial for them!

So even though the Czech Republic is a veteran powerhouse that used to be very strong, I still firmly told Bai Niao that I was betting on Russia.

Germany versus Portugal... although it looks like the two teams are evenly matched, I'm still betting on Germany. Germany as a whole is stronger than Portugal. Besides Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal lacks a midfield core. Germany should have a better chance of winning.

So, the Netherlands and Germany to win!
