"Young Master Ao Ping is hunting prey again. It's a Beast Emperor from the Mountain Rat tribe. Heh-heh, I believe the Mountain Rat tribe only has three Beast Emperors, right? If this one dies, it's likely the tribe will be close to extinction."
A Beast Emperor, seeing the young Flood Dragon pass through its territory, spoke out subconsciously.
Among the demon race, infighting is particularly fierce. Here, the natural law of the jungle prevails; the weak are merely prey. This applies even if you are a Beast Emperor.
Here, only if you are powerful and brutal enough can you survive and claim your own territory within the Myriad Beasts Mountain.
"It's good that the Mountain Rat tribe is wiped out. Who told them they are weak in combat and their meat is delicious? Heh-heh, speaking of which, this Emperor is feeling a bit peckish. Why not hunt a Beast Emperor from the Mountain Rat tribe to satisfy my craving?"
Another Beast Emperor responded. It was a black bear, about ten meters tall, exuding a ferocious aura.
"Bear Two, you are so foolish. There are only two Beast Emperors left in the Mountain Rat tribe. Dare to hunt one and see? Those two have already been reserved by a few of the Young Masters. If you're really craving something, hunt a King-level Mountain Rat to satisfy your appetite. The taste is pretty much the same anyway."
A Beast Emperor chuckled. Although they all possessed territories, they still needed to be discerning. There were certain delicacies they could hunt at any time, but they had to consider whether they were worthy of consuming them.
"That's true. What a shame. The Mountain Rat tribe is also a useless race. They never had many Beast Emperors even in ancient times; they're simply not enough to eat," the black bear muttered to itself.
The Beast Emperors from several neighboring territories chatted amongst themselves, none of them noticing the presence of the young Flood Dragon.
After all, this was the Myriad Beasts Mountain, and the creature carried the aura of a Hegemon-level Beast Emperor. Therefore, no demon beast dared to harbor any ill intentions towards it.
"Roar!!!"
Just then, a tragic roar of a Flood Dragon suddenly echoed, abruptly cut short.
The nearby Beast Emperors, upon hearing this, felt a jolt of shock. This was the sound of Young Master Ao Ping. They immediately set off towards the source of the scream.
It was a mountain valley. Inside the valley, the Royal-level Mountain Rat, previously chased by the young Flood Dragon, was curled up fearfully in a cave, trembling all over.
Outside the cave, lay the skeletal remains of a Flood Dragon, over ten meters long. Its flesh and blood were gone, leaving only white bones. The air was thick with the scent of its blood.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
In the valley, several Beast Emperors arrived one after another. They all emanated terrifying auras; each possessed the strength of the late Royal-level. Upon seeing the skeletal remains of the young Flood Dragon in the valley, their hearts filled with shock and dread.
"This is Young Master Ao Ping?? He's dead?"
The black bear's voice trembled with fear. The young Flood Dragon that had passed through its territory chasing prey was dead, its flesh and blood completely devoured, leaving only a skeleton.
Who dared to be so audacious? Who would dare to lay a hand on the offspring of a Hegemon-level Beast Emperor? And with such brutal methods, devouring all the flesh and blood, leaving no intact corpse.
Remember, that creature carried the aura of a Hegemon-level powerhouse. Which demon beast in the Myriad Beasts Mountain had gone blind to dare kill this Flood Dragon?
"Roar!!! Damn it, who is so audacious? It's over, we're finished! Black Dragon Hegemon will not let us off!"
Some Beast Emperors spoke with trembling voices, filled with fear. The offspring of a Hegemon-level Beast Emperor had died in their territory. Even if they were not the perpetrators, they could not escape responsibility and would surely be punished.
"Roar!!! Damn it, who did this? Who did this? They don't want to live themselves and are dragging us down with them?"
The Beast Emperors present were all unsettled, their hearts filled with terror and anger. Facing such a situation, they were undoubtedly doomed!
"Boom!"
A Beast Emperor shattered the cave where the Mountain Rat was hiding with a single claw, then dragged the rodent out.
"Speak! Who harmed Young Master Ao Ping?"
"Humans! It was humans!"
The Mountain Rat trembled, its eyes filled with terror. It had initially believed it was going to die. However, after fleeing into this valley, it encountered three humans. Those three humans killed the young Flood Dragon right before its eyes and devoured all its flesh and blood.
Now, this Mountain Rat could not die. But its heart was filled with even greater fear than before. The offspring of a Hegemon-level powerhouse had died while hunting it. It was impossible for it to escape responsibility. Its entire tribe might even incur the wrath of that Hegemon Beast Emperor, leading to their extinction.
"Humans?!! Damn it! How dare humans enter our demon race's territory? Are they trying to force a war upon us?!"
The black bear roared. If the young Flood Dragon had been killed by other demon beasts, they might have accepted it. But to be killed by humans filled it with rage. Even in ancient times, humans had never dared to intrude into their demon race's territory and kill the offspring of a Hegemon-level Beast Emperor. This was a provocation to all demon beasts!
"How many humans came? Where are they? You, who were present when Young Master Ao Ping was killed, what good are you? Why don't you die?"
A Beast Emperor roared, glaring at the Mountain Rat. Humans had killed the young Flood Dragon, but the Mountain Rat survived. The latter was the one who deserved to die. It should have fought to protect the young Flood Dragon, creating an opportunity for it to escape or call for help.
"My Lords, it was humans. Three humans killed Young Master Ao Ping. It has nothing to do with me. I hope you Lords will uphold justice for me and plead with Black Dragon Hegemon on behalf of my tribe."
The Mountain Rat spoke to the surrounding Beast Emperors, its tone filled with humility.
"Useless!"
The black bear roared and struck the Mountain Rat with its palm, shattering more than half of its bones. At this moment, they were all struggling to save themselves. How could they have the chance to plead for a Mountain Rat?
The Mountain Rat trembled, its body covered in blood, yet it dared not resist. It could only humbly lie on the ground, begging for mercy.
"Roar!!!"
At that very moment, a heaven-shattering roar echoed from the depths of the Myriad Beasts Mountain, its sound spreading throughout the entire domain.
All demon beasts within earshot changed their expressions, their hearts filled with dread.
The few demon beasts in the valley trembled, their eyes filled with despair. They knew that Black Dragon Hegemon had sensed the death of the young Flood Dragon. The thought of facing an enraged Hegemon soon filled them with fear and unease.
From the depths of the Myriad Beasts Mountain, a black Flood Dragon, hundreds of meters long and incredibly thick, flew furiously towards the valley through the forest.
It exuded a terrifying aura. Everywhere it passed, countless demon beasts prostrated themselves on the ground.
In a blink of an eye, the black dragon descended upon the valley. At this moment, the entire valley was filled with a terrifying aura. All demon beasts instinctively prostrated themselves on the ground, trembling.
"Roar!!! Ping'er!!!"
The black dragon's gaze immediately fell upon Ao Ping's skeletal remains in the valley. Its eyes turned crimson, and a frenzied aura erupted instantly.
His offspring had died, leaving only a skeleton, its death extremely brutal. How could it accept this fact?
