Chapter 517: Chapter 26: Luo Ge Xian Ni (4)_3

"Who are they?" A sweet-looking female elf, dressed in loose pajamas, stood on her balcony, brushing her teeth while curiously watching Jones and his group pass by.

"Awoo—!" Two young mages were standing on the "roof" by the roadside practicing together. One young mage suddenly saw Jones’s group and was stunned, forgetting to cast a shield spell and directly hit by a fireball, making a complete mess of himself.

"Grandma! We’re running out of time! Hurry up!" An elf girl carrying a fruit basket urged her "grandma," who looked about the same age as her. Seeing Jones’s group, she was also stunned, blinking her big eyes as she watched.

"Ready—!" The instructor was training archery at the shooting range. He saw Jones’s group and was stunned, swallowing back the word "shooting." Instantly, the six trainees lined up in a row all followed his gaze towards Jones.

Countless eyes were watching Jones’s group.

Well, they were mainly watching William. The appearance of the Blood Clan wasn’t too different from elves, but the Lich was like night and day. With just one look, everyone noticed the undead creature in the group.

Fortunately, the Lich didn’t know what awkwardness was. All along the way, William stared back at the elves who were watching him. Whoever looked at him, he looked right back at them. Of course, he soon found out he couldn’t keep up with all the staring.

Out of nowhere, an elf child aimed an arrow at William.

*What did I say earlier? It’s hard to encounter a young or an old Blood Elf. Yes, it’s hard, but if you’re unlucky enough, you’ll still run into them.*

"Pop," the arrow hit the forehead. Oh right, it was one of those toy arrows with a suction-cup tip, sticking to William’s forehead.

William stood dazedly in place, as if he had really been shot in the forehead. The whole world fell silent.

*What happens if you shoot a Lich? Elves were well aware of the consequences.*

The child’s mother, terrified, quickly picked up the child and backed away. Even Dariana was scared, staring wide-eyed in a daze.

Jones and William exchanged a glance. William immediately reached up to remove the toy arrow from his forehead, looked towards the child who shot the arrow, then turned and landed on the ground, walking towards the child.

*For a moment, the vigilance of all the Blood Elves present heightened to an extreme. Some had already placed their hands on their quivers, ready to draw their bows at any time. Nearby, two centaurs had already gripped their long axes tightly.*

Standing in front of the child, William reached out to hand over the toy arrow. The child, blankly staring at William, reached out to take it. The child’s mother, holding him tightly, also stared wide-eyed in a daze.

Then William turned and walked away without saying a single word.

Only then did everyone present slowly breathe a sigh of relief.

"Let’s keep moving." Jones reminded the still stunned Dariana.

"Oh... okay." Dariana smiled awkwardly.

The group continued to ride their unicorns forward slowly.

From afar, the elf girl standing on the roof, or tree roots, watched their backs. She held a wooden flute and played a melodious tune, the sound echoing through the air, instantly restoring the surroundings back to a relaxed and joyous state.

Finally, a gigantic tree hole appeared before Jones.

"We’re here. This is the place we’ve arranged for Lord Hydra." Dariana said with a smile.
