Chapter 384 - 103: Just Missed a Little

Chapter 384: Chapter 103: Just Missed a Little

Not hurried, yet pressing enough.

The most important thing was that the damned dog kept laughing madly, constantly reminding the two royal offspring of the humiliating reality they faced.

Was the dog inherently so cheap?

Or was Jiang Li deliberately provoking them?

The conspiratorial mindset so common to members of the Royal Family made them lean towards the latter hypothesis, resulting in some hesitation. They feared a trap ahead, ready for them to fall into.

Yet to back down now would be a great blow to their prestige. The struggle for the regency was at a critical juncture; any setback might cause the opportunity to slip through their fingers.

Regardless of what Jiang Li had in mind, brothers Ji Chengtian and Ji Chengji leaned towards this line of thought.

That was why they hesitated.

But soon, the Second Prince made up his mind.

"Then let solitude witness if you have the strength to defend the Divine Farmer’s Cauldron."

The Second Prince spoke, "Gao Yue."

Step, even if there were traps, he needed to step. Not stepping might show incompetence, potentially missing the chance to become Regent. Yet, stepping, even at a loss, could win the appreciation of the Clan Elders.

Beside the Second Prince, the black-clad eunuch turned into a shadowy trace, soaring like an arrow, thunderous in his approach. His Qi exhibited a cold Yin, yet it lacked the usual softness of a eunuch, instead exuding sheer might.

With strength that split the air, leaving a void but no sound of burst, he revealed an extreme concentration and sharpness that even made the Red Dog on Jiang Li’s lap raise its head.

"Boom!"

In the blink of an eye, a Dragon Claw shielded Jiang Li, the fierce Qi Force pounding on the back of the claw, emanating a dull sound.

"Interesting, a Human Immortal."

Jiang Li still sat motionless in his wheelchair, immovable as Mount Tai, continuing to stroke the Red Dog that had raised its head, his body surrounded by True Qi like mist, morphing into a robust dragon arm that blocked the strike.

The eunuch called "Gao Yue" appeared for a split second, flickering with a succession of afterimages, Shifting Position and swiftly moving to the side, a Black Gold Iron Ruler flying out of his sleeve like a dark flood dragon, its dull shine heavy and solid, striking at Jiang Li with the swiftness of lightning.

A Sixth Rank Human Immortal was a Dao Fruit specifically picked by Martial Cultivators. Though their Five Organs Qi granted them a formidably solid body, they lost the ability to finely control True Qi and struggled to cultivate Magic.

Eunuchs, having suffered physical impairments and a deficiency in Kidney Water, would have to exert much greater strength to ascend to the level of a Human Immortal than an ordinary person.

Yet not only had this eunuch ascended to the status of Human Immortal, his progress in the Dao Fruit of the Human Immortal was even more advanced than the last Immortal Jiang Li had encountered—Zong Hai of the Iron Pillar Temple—truly a marvel to behold.

The Iron Ruler dragged along the Gang Wind, the air moving like a tide with it. Without the sword’s sharpness, its strength was truly greater than any sword. If it struck the body, at minimum skin and flesh would be torn, much like the Forbidden Army Guards nearby who, if hit with such force, would have their bodies explode.

But prior to the Iron Ruler reaching him, the Dragon Claw had already dissipated into a cloud, then reformed on the side.

"Bang!"

The sound of metal clashing vibrated through the air, Gao Yue’s robe billowed, and the sonic attack hit him producing a sound like raging waves.

The surrounding Forbidden Army Guards were shaken and jumbled up, their bodies tingling, their armor clashing, their bones seemingly on the verge of scattering, their flesh almost detaching.

"Profound Yin Nine Revolutions."

Gao Yue’s eyes shone with a solid gleam, a solitary light traced beneath his feet, his figure a shadowy blur, circling Jiang Li with ghostly swiftness. Yin Qi burst forth underneath him, successive Qi rings compressing inward, the Black Gold Iron Ruler swung, its shadow forming waves. As if the Qi rings combined, the strike thundered forward.

It was no insubstantial move, nor was it Magic, but the manifestation of pure Qi Force, strong enough to split mountains and shatter stones.

Nevertheless, ahead of the approaching shadow, mist would always form and easily block the fierce waves; the Dragon Claw moved as desired, changing at will. And with Jiang Li’s Power at nine times stronger than other Sixth Rank individuals, even when True Qi left his body, he could still fully withstand the solid and powerful offense.

"Hu—"

After the shadow of the ruler came the Qi ring, but a deep breath also resonated at the same time. A hazy phantom appeared behind Jiang Li, another Dragon Claw emerged, the robust dragon arm tearing left and right, abruptly splitting the Qi rings, the great strength opening up the remaining Qi Force with the sudden appearance of Thunder Light.

Jiang Li was about to counterattack!

Tat tat tat—

The rapid sound of War Boots hitting the ground resonated; a figure clad in armor rushed forward, stomping fiercely, leaping through the air. Momentum carried the spear, its head vibrating violently, a moment creating hundreds of spear shadows, like Dragon and Snake dancing wildly, jumping, charging, and striking, the ferocious and sharp spear moves raining down swiftly.

"Another master?"

Jiang Li, as immovable as Mount Tai, did not flinch. The Dragon Claw erupted with a roar like Spring Thunder, bursting with Life yet concealing Death.

Thunder Light exploded; strands of electricity and spear shadows collided, producing incessant bursts. Gang Wind spread in all directions, and the Qi Force flowed wildly, the ferocity matching Gao Yue’s earlier attack.

Almost instantly, the storm of electricity snarled and dazzled, two figures attacking from left and right, one striking with the heavy ruler, its Yin Qi shocking; the other like a Flood Dragon diving into the sea, utterly fierce.

Jiang Li’s gaze became tripartite, his eyes apathetic. His Emperor’s Qi Observation Skill penetrated every detail; suddenly, his wheelchair soared, merging with the Divine Dragon phantom. Dragon Claws reached out from either side, pre-emptive in their strike, meeting the Strong Assault of both opponents.

"Bang!"

With a loud blast, the spear shadows vanished, one figure exploded back through the air, withdrawing several meters before crashing down with a thud.
